George Lopez’s wife sacrificed an organ for her famous husband

Being married to a Hollywood star can be tough, but some manage to make it work.

Ann Serrano, however, gave everything — including one of her organs — for her famous husband, only to be betrayed.

Ann Serrano may not be a name that jumps out at you right away, but she certainly shouldn’t be known just as ”the wife of a celebrity.” Ann’s made a name for herself as both an actress and a producer. Some of you might recognize her from Arrested Development, and she even appeared in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Beyond her career, she’s also a devoted mom to a daughter she shares with a well-known and groundbreaking actor. The couple met during a casting for a movie, it was Ann’s first casting job. They clicked and married in September 1993. Three years later, they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Mayan.

For a long time, their high-profile marriage seemed solid, but everything changed in the early 2000s when her famous husband received a devastating diagnosis.

Doctors told him his kidneys were failing due to a genetic condition, and he needed a transplant to survive. Timing was critical, but he delayed the surgery for a year, consumed with fear that the truth about his condition would leak to the press. He didn’t want their then 9-year-old daughter reading about it in the tabloids.

Despite being a public figure, he managed to keep the illness a secret for quite some time. But eventually, it was clear he needed help. That’s when Ann stepped in, offering something extraordinary — her own kidney.

For her, it was an easy decision, as she once said in an interview.

”It’s amazing to be able to help another human being in this way. You’re giving the gift of life,” she said.

The surgery was a success, and the iconic actor was lucky that his body accepted the new organ. To top it off, he even lost 45 pounds as his health improved. Thanks to Ann’s generosity, they looked forward to more happy years together. But that wasn’t how things turned out.

So, who was this man? None other than George Lopez, best known for starring in his hit sitcom The George Lopez Show. Today, he has grown into one of our most beloved comedians and in 2005, he was named one of ”The Top 25 Hispanics in America” by Time magazine.

Abandoned by his parents

Born in 1961 in Los Angeles to a Mexican migrant worker, George Lopez had anything but an easy start in life. Abandoned by his father when he was just two months old and later left by his mother at the age of 10, George was raised by his grandmother.

A shy and introverted child, he spent much of his time lost in daydreams. No one could have predicted he would one day become a Hollywood star, but George turned his challenging upbringing into comedic brilliance, transforming pain into punchlines that resonated with audiences everywhere.

”I started to find my comedic voice in the early ’90s, and it revolved around my grandmother as kind of a muse,” George once shared.

”She was really something. No cars could go from zero to 60 as fast as my grandmother could go from calm to upset.”

Discovered by Sandra Bullock

It wasn’t long before George was approached by Sandra Bullock, who was frustrated by the lack of Hispanic representation on TV.

ABC agreed, and in 2002, George became one of the few Latinos to star in a sitcom. The show was a hit, watched by nearly 10 million viewers during its first season. George was the co-creator, writer, producer, and star.

Despite its success, the show was canceled in 2007, and George wasn’t happy. He famously told the Los Angeles Times, ”TV just became really, really white again.”

Professionally, it was a big loss, but at the time, George had just overcome a life-threatening situation.

Secret surgery

On April 19, 2005, he was wheeled into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center under the alias “Tom Ace,” unsure if he’d make it through.

Thanks to Ann’s selfless act, he did.

Both underwent surgery in side-by-side operating rooms, and by the next day, their daughter was visiting them at the hospital. Ann said she felt no different having just one kidney.

”There was no question. When you are put in that position where you could possibly lose someone you love, it’s a very easy decision.”

But despite everything they went through, the marriage didn’t last. After 18 years as husband and wife, the couple announced their separation. Ann filed for divorce in 2010, citing ”irreconcilable differences,” and it was finalized in 2011.

Cheating on his wife

Ann has spoken candidly about their marriage’s breakdown, pointing to George’s chaotic upbringing as a factor. George himself admitted during an interview with Piers Morgan that he was partly to blame for their split, even acknowledging that some of the criticism he received after their divorce was deserved, especially given that Ann had saved his life.

To outsiders, Ann and George appeared to have it all, but beneath the surface, things were far from perfect. About six years into their marriage, things took a turn. George had cheated on Ann, and they were forced to confront the situation head-on.

Ann, determined to keep their family intact, insisted they go to couples therapy, wanting their daughter to grow up with her father present. George seemed to understand the gravity of his actions, and for a while, it appeared he had learned his lesson. But Ann made it clear — if it happened again, their marriage would be finito.

Unfortunately, it did happen again, and this time it was very public.

Ann found out the heartbreaking truth by reading it in a tabloid. In that moment, she realized the man she had loved and supported was living a double life.

”It was a pretty devastating way to find out,” Ann told TheHourGlass Podcast in 2024.

This was something Ann could not tolerate, and she made the painful decision to file for divorce. Unsurprisingly, Mayan stood firmly by her mother’s side, supporting her through the heartache

Years later Mayan, revealed more about her parent’s relationship on TikTok, asking them directly why they got divorced. Ann responded, ”Your dad didn’t realize you have to stop dating other people when you get married.”

A year later, Mayan, who is also building a career as an actress, posted another video with the caption, ”He cheated. She divorced him. We kept almost everything.”

Went into therapy

George has been more reserved about the details but has expressed regret over the hurt he caused, especially to his daughter. The two didn’t speak for years.

George eventually went to therapy with her to work through their issues, admitting it was “awkward,” but necessary.

“You have to be responsible for the trauma that you’ve caused,” George said. ”For the first time in my life I said, ‘Yeah, I’m responsible for this and I’m going to spend the rest of my life repairing it.’”

”To be a father is a very special thing,” he told ET and continued: ”To be estranged from you child is the worst thing ever and for the first time in my life, I owned up to my mistakes and I’m lucky Mayan took me back into her life and a little bit of the show is about that.””

Father and daughter eventually managed to heal their relationship, and it led to something truly special. Not only did they reconcile, but they also turned their personal struggles into art. The two now co-star in the NBC comedy Lopez vs. Lopez, a show that hits close to home, as it’s loosely based on their own journey of mending a complicated relationship

Remarkably, despite everything, Ann and George maintain a good relationship. In fact, Mayan asked them a decade later if they still loved each other, and both admitted they did. Ann even referred to George as her “husband and friend,” while George simply said, ”I love Ann.”

The Antarctic worm with teeth that will haunt your dreams

A strange and mesmerizing marine worm has recently gone viral online, and once you see it, you’ll understand why.

This bizarre creature, known as Eulagisca gigantea, looks like it belongs in a sci-fi horror movie rather than the icy waters of Antarctica.

With its shimmering golden bristles and gaping, tooth-lined mouth, it could easily be mistaken for a holiday ornament gone terribly wrong.

But, believe it or not, this oddball worm has been living in the Southern Ocean for years — it’s just now catching attention thanks to social media.

Meet the Eulagisca gigantea

So, what makes this worm so special? First off, it’s about 8 inches long (that’s around the size of a banana), with a head that’s actually a retractable throat.

When it’s time to eat, this throat extends out, revealing sharp teeth, making it clear this worm isn’t just sitting around looking pretty — it’s a predator. The worm uses this extendable part to scavenge or even hunt smaller marine creatures.

Its golden bristles aren’t just for show either. They might help it swim, crawl along the seafloor, or act as a defense mechanism. However, there’s still so much we don’t know about Eulagisca gigantea, as scientists have only studied it briefly since its discovery in 1939.

A creature of the deep

Polychaete worms like Eulagisca gigantea are incredibly diverse and can be found in all kinds of ocean environments. From shallow coral reefs to deep-sea hydrothermal vents, these worms come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

In fact, there are over 8,000 species of polychaete worms, though experts believe there could be even more lurking out there, waiting to be discovered.

A 2016 study suggested that we may only have uncovered half of the marine worm species out there, so who knows what other weird and wonderful creatures are hiding in the deep?

These worms may seem strange, but they play important roles in ocean ecosystems and are crucial for researchers studying life in the depths of our planet.

Viral sensation

Recently, a Facebook post featuring a specimen of Eulagisca gigantea taken from the Antarctic Ocean went viral. The image captured the worm’s metallic golden bristles and its frightening, extruded jaws. It’s no wonder the post sparked fascination and a little bit of horror among viewers.

While its otherworldly appearance might make you shudder, creatures like Eulagisca gigantea are helping scientists understand the fascinating and mysterious biodiversity of the deep sea.

As more of the ocean is explored, who knows what other bizarre creatures will surface from the depths — reminding us that life on Earth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

Donald Trump releases JFK files, and fans all say the same thing

Donald Trump made waves by releasing thousands of classified files related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. While many anticipated explosive revelations, Trump’s document dump has left many people still searching for the truth that the president earlier promised.

For decades, people have been chasing the truth about what really happened on November 22, 1963 – the day 46-year-old John F. Kennedy (JFK) was assassinated.

On March 18, the Trump administration declassified 80,000 documents related to the death of the 35th President of the United States. This move came in compliance with the 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, which had set an original 2017 deadline for full disclosure.

“We have a tremendous amount of paper. You got a lot of reading. I don’t believe we’re going to redact anything,” Trump, 78, teased from the Kennedy Center on March 17. “They’ve been waiting for that for decades. And I said during the campaign I’d release them, and I’m a man of my word…so tomorrow you have the JFK files.”

Trump – who was 17 when Kennedy was killed – had previously released thousands of documents in 2018, though certain files remained redacted due to national security concerns. Even President Biden followed a similar path, unveiling 13,000 more records in 2022.

“President Trump is ushering in a new era of maximum transparency. …Per his direction, previously redacted JFK Assassination Files are being released to the public with no redactions,” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said, according to the New York Post. “Promises made, promises kept.

Some files still locked up

Trump’s decision to release these documents was met with a lot of anticipation and his supporters saw it as part of his commitment to government transparency – his administration even framed it that way – but some files are still locked up.

Yet, despite these grand declarations, the files didn’t bring closure for those expecting earth-shattering revelations, the reality was far less dramatic. Most of the documents seemed to reaffirm what the Warren Commission had already concluded back in 1964 – that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he fired a high-powered rifle from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, where the 24-year-old former marine recently started working.

According to the report, three shots were fired at 12.30 pm as JFK’s car passed through Dealey Plaza in Dallas.

The first bullet missed its target, while the second – called the “magic bullet theory” – hit the president in the back, exited through his throat, then injured Texas governor John Connally, shattering his wrist and ending up in his thigh.

The third bullet – shot within 8.6 seconds of the first – delivered the fatal blow to Kennedy’s head.

After allegedly fleeing and shooting another police officer in Dallas on the same day, Oswald was apprehended but was shot dead by 53-year-old nightclub owner Jack Ruby two days later before he could stand trial.

Hunt for a Conspiracy

The Kennedy assassination has never been just another historical event – it’s a generational mystery.

Many Americans believe Kennedy was killed as part of a conspiracy, rather than by a lone gunman. Theories have ranged from mob involvement to Cuban exiles seeking revenge. One of the most bizarre is that the CIA directed the shooting to prevent the president from uncovering the truth about aliens.

The newly released documents offered fragments of new information, but beyond some small insights, the files offered no smoking gun – nothing to confirm or disprove the many theories that have endured for decades.

For conspiracy theorists, the continued secrecy only fuels further speculation and many were excited to share their opinions online.

One netizen tweets, “The CIA assassinated the sitting President JFK and they were never held accountable for it!” A second user insists, “The CIA killed JFK.”

A third online fan jumps on the alien idea: “It appears the reason why the JFK files weren’t released for all these years, was that they reveal US government awareness of UAPs/UFOs.”

‘You got played’

Others expressed their disappointed over the information that remains hidden, locked away under claims of national security concerns.

“Turns out the only thing uncovered in the JFK Files is what we already knew from the Warren commission,” notes one user.

“I was told repeatedly these were going to be unredacted…” a second said.

A third user tweets, ” You got played… again? How many more times?”

Other members of the online community pointed out that the release is the exact same shared by former President Joe Biden in 2023.

“Trump released the same JFK files that Biden released in 2023 lol. fell for it again award,” one user tweets along with side-by-side photos of the two releases, where Trump’s version shows the word “secret” crossed out.

“Biden released these unredacted. Biden 1 Trump 0,” a second shares, while another adds, “Literally the same files released by Biden.”

After all these years, the JFK assassination remains one of America’s greatest unsolved puzzles. While Trump’s document dump provided some new details, it ultimately didn’t bring us closer to the truth.

If you’d like to download the JFK Assassination Records, you can find them HERE. Please let us know what you think of the files and then share this story with your friends so we can hear from them!

Experts warn about cooking certain items in air fryer

If you have an air fryer, you have likely made many recipes in it. These days, there is so much content around just ‘air fryer’ recipes where people use the device to cook up lavish meals.

So if you are someone who likes to try new recipes, then you should be careful about some of them as they can be dangerous.

Keep reading to learn more…

People use air fryers for everything; from frying frozen fries to whipping up a gourmet meal from scratch. People these days adore the contraption for how convenient it makes cooking.

Air fryers are beneficial in making healthy food but it turns out there are some health risks they can pose. And there are some recipes in an air fryers that you should never attempt.

There are thousands, if not millions, of air fryer recipes out there available on the internet. But there is one particular item that you should not cook in the air fryer as it can be dangerous.

The air fryer does not cook the item properly and it can also pose a danger to you. Journalist Grace Forell, said on the BBC, “No, don’t try this one at home.

“Popcorn won’t cook well in an air fryer as most models won’t reach the required temperature to pop the kernels,” she shared.

She added, “Popcorn kernels can also become lodged within the air fryer’s heating element, which may cause the appliance to short, creating a fire hazard.”

There are some people who have attempted to make popcorn in an air fryer. One air fryer user took to Reddit to ask what the best way to make popcorn would be in the device.

“I see everyone saying not to do it because of risk of fire,” they wrote in reply.

“Why can’t you put aluminum over the entirety of the hot plate like you should do with anything anyways to keep it clean?”

“Or even more so, do that and wrap it around the top for the popcorn kernels to pop into?”

People began to warn the user. One person explained, “When a kernel flies into the fan and bangs around and you swear for a hour while trying to get it out, you will wish you hadn’t. Please don’t.”

Another person also had some thoughts and shared, “Or when the air fryer scorches the popped kernels, the smell will also make you wish you hadn’t.”

Another person who had tried the same thing earlier, “So I’m telling you, not from theory, but actual experience, that the air fryer does not work

“If you are trying to just pop a bag in without doing anything else fancy. 400 degrees [Farenheit] will get me right there on the edge, but not over the popping threshold,” one person shared.

People wanted to discourage the idea of making popcorn in an air fryer. One person was exasperated and asked, “Why would you want to when there are so many easier better ways to make popcorn?”

Forrell advised people to “Stick with the microwave or the hob for popcorn if you’re settling down for a good movie night!”

Indian Authorities Raid Soros-Backed Organizations

India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted searches at eight locations in Bengaluru as part of an investigation into foreign exchange violations involving the Open Society Foundations (OSF)—founded by American billionaire George Soros—and its impact investment arm, the Soros Economic Development Fund (SEDF).

Sources told Indian media the searches were “carried out under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and involve the OSF along with various international human rights organizations,” The Economic Times reported.

The investigation centers on allegations that OSF procured foreign direct investment (FDI) and that some beneficiaries misappropriated these funds in violation of FEMA guidelines.

“Our teams carried out raids at eight locations on Tuesday in Bengaluru to investigate contraventions in foreign direct investment rules by SEDF and OSF in investments in various entities/individuals in India and subsequent utilization of those funds,” said one unnamed officer, the Hindustan Times added.

According to the reports, Soros-backed OSF sent nearly $3 billion to more than a dozen entities throughout India.

The unnamed officer added that a “preliminary investigation has revealed that OSF was put under the prior reference category by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in 2016, thereby restricting it from giving unregulated donations to NGOs in India.”

“However, in order to bypass this restriction, OSF set up subsidiaries in India and brought in funds in the form of FDI and consultancy fees, and these funds have been used to fund activities of the NGOs which is a FEMA contravention”, the officer added.

The Times reported that OSF began operating in India, the world’s largest democracy, in 1999, but that the Soros-founded group does not have any actual offices in the country.

In November, the then-Biden-controlled Federal Communications Commission (FCC) expedited its decision to approve a deal allowing Democrat megadonor Soros to acquire a major stake in over 200 radio stations.

Fox News reported at the time that the move has prompted an investigation by the House Oversight Committee, which is concerned about potential “politicization” and its impact on the 2024 presidential election.

The FCC’s approval of Soros’ acquisition of more than 200 Audacy radio stations drew criticism from a Republican commissioner who expressed objections to the decision, as well as other GOP members of Congress who see the move as blatantly partisan.

The FCC “adopted an order to approve Soros’ purchase of more than 200 radio stations in 40 markets just weeks before the presidential election,” which would allow him to reach up to 165 million Americans, Fox noted.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.) have accused the FCC of expediting its review of broadcast licenses by bypassing standard procedures.

Audacy Inc. owns over 200 radio stations. Soros sought to acquire $415 million in debt in a Chapter 11 reorganization of the company, Fox reported.

In late February, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr provided an update on the agency’s investigation into Soros and his influence over local radio stations during a meeting with Republican lawmakers. Carr met with members of the Republican Study Committee, a group of 175 House Republicans, at their annual closed-door lunch.

A source told Fox News that Carr was set to brief lawmakers on the quick purchase of the radio stations. Carr also discussed broader strategies to counter left-wing media, the report said.

The focus of the GOP congressional probe regarding the purchase focused on Soros Fund Management’s stake in the sale. The investment firm holds a substantial share of foreign ownership, which triggered concerns that content broadcast by the stations could allow foreign governments to exert undue influence on the American public.

“The FCC is not following its normal process for reviewing a transaction,” Carr told lawmakers last fall regarding the sale.

“We have established over a number of years one way in which you can get approval from the FCC when you have an excess of 25 percent foreign ownership, which this transaction does,” Carr added. “It seems to me that the FCC is poised to create, for the first time, an entirely new shortcut.”

Don Lemon Claims He Was Assaulted, Harrased While At CNN

Former CNN host Don Lemon dropped a bombshell on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, alleging that he experienced sexual harassment from both men and women during his time at the network.

Lemon, who was fired from CNN in 2023, detailed several instances of inappropriate behavior he endured during his tenure, sharing his account on the Sunday episode.

“I remember when I was in Atlanta and I was in the cafeteria—commissary, whatever—at CNN, and this woman, young lady, tweaked my nipples and said, ‘Oh, it’s cold in here.’ And I said, ‘Okay, you realize if I did that, they’d be walking me out the door right now,’” Lemon told Maher.

“But I didn’t—I didn’t care. I didn’t go to HR. I didn’t say anything because I… it was just like—it’s a double standard,” Lemon said.

He then proceeded to tell of another incident. “I’ve never told this story before. Someone I worked with also harassed me at CNN, and I never went to management. It was a woman, and she knew I was gay. It was bizarre—she was going through a divorce, and it was just weird,” he explained.

“I never went to management. I thought, ‘Okay, they may find a way to get rid of me because if I told the story, I don’t know if they’re going to believe me or not,’” the former CNN host went on. “But then she was so mean to me after that, I was like—I should have told the story.”

Without naming anyone, Lemon described the harassment as occurring in professional settings outside the newsroom, such as cocktail parties and other work-related events.

“We were at a restaurant and they were drinking, they’re like, ‘Oh my God, look at you. You’ve lost weight, you look so hot,’” Lemon recalled.

Maher challenged Lemon on whether he believed these experiences were being taken seriously. Lemon responded, “It works both ways.”

When Maher asked if these incidents were common in the industry, Lemon admitted that inappropriate behavior was widespread. “It was not in the office but yeah, it’s all… won’t go that far. So you had to be with her in certain business occasions, with, outside the office, like at a cocktail party, places like that,” he said.

Lemon gained prominence during his tenure at CNN, where he hosted Don Lemon Tonight and co-anchored CNN This Morning. He worked at the network from 2006 until 2023 when controversies over his on-air remarks and reported workplace behavior led to his dismissal.

Lemon sparked controversy with a mocking, expletive-filled tirade about the MAGA world uproar over H1-B visas for specialized workers in December.

Lemon ridiculed Trump supporters, deriding what he called their “stupid MAGA brain,” and criticized them for being caught off guard by DOGE head Elon Musk’s backing of H1-B visa programs, the New York Post reported.

“Oh my gosh, I love this. Now you’re finding out, you dumb f–king idiots. Now you’re just figuring this sh— out. You’re so f–king stupid, and you deserve it. And you f–king deserve it because you’re so dumb,” Lemon railed.

“You have been co-opted because you’re in a f–king cult and you don’t even realize it because you have stupid MAGA brain, and you don’t get it. How stupid and dumb are you?” the Lemon hysteria continued.

Famously, Lemon was widely mocked — including by then-CNN boss Jeff Zucker — in the fall of 2014 when he suggested, on-air, that missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 was swallowed up by a black hole. He also suggested that something “supernatural” could have happened to the flight, the wreckage of which was never found.

“Don’t don’t be an idiot,” Zucker reportedly said, according to a profile piece published in The New Yorker Magazine.

Parents of missing Sudiksha Konanki request declaration of death

The family of missing American student Sudiksha Konanki has filed a heartbreaking request to the authorities in the Dominican Republic that they declare her dead.

The 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student from Loudoun County, Virginia, vanished without a trace from Riu Republic Resort in Punta Cana town on March 6 while on vacation.

As per reports, Konanki traveled to the Dominican Republic for spring break with five female friends. Just three days later, she went missing.

What was meant to be a relaxing trip turned into a haunting mystery, with few clues to explain her sudden disappearance.

Last seen around 5:50 am on the beach with another tourist, Joshua Steven Riibe, her disappearance has left many in shock and confusion.

It also sparked a frantic search by air, sea, and land, with authorities from the United States, the Dominican Republic, and India — Sudiksha’s family’s home country — joining the effort.

“This is one of the largest operations we have carried out for the rescue of a person,” Agustín Morillo Rodríguez, general commander of the Dominican Republic Navy, told CNN.

Dominican officials initially believed Sudiksha’s disappearance was a drowning. The night she disappeared, sea conditions were dangerous due to high waves.

However, the general prosecutor’s office has stated they are now also looking into whether her disappearance might involve something more than just an accident.

A new surveillance image shows the missing Pitt student cuddling up to a male friend, Joshua Riibe, just before disappearing from a Dominican Republic beach. This is the last known photo of her, according to Noticias SIN.

Despite an extensive search, Sudiksha has not been found, and a heartbreaking new update from the Dominican Republic National Police details how the 20-year-old’s family have sent the agency a letter to request a declaration of death.

As per reports, the Konanki family sent the letter yesterday (March 17), acknowledging that there is no suspected foul play.

“Joshua Steven Riibe, who has been identified as a ‘person of interest,’ remains in custody and is being interrogated at the National Police’s Gender Violence Unit to gather more information about the incident,” a rep for the Caribbean nation said in an update last Friday. Police do not consider him a suspect.

A guy suspects his wife is cheating on him

We’ve all probably had that moment of wondering if our partner is really as loyal as they seem, but luckily, it’s usually just jealousy playing tricks on us.

Still, this hilarious story dives right into that topic, and I’ve got to say, I laughed out loud when I read the punchline…

A guy suspects his wife is cheating on him so he comes home early from work one day. His wife meets him at the door in a bathrobe, her hair a mess. “Where is he?” he demands.

“Where’s the guy who’s been sleeping with you?” “I don’t know what you’re talking about, dear,” she answers, so the guy tears the house apart looking for him. Finally he’s on the second floor in the kitchen, he looks out the window and sees a guy sitting in a Tesla. “That’s him,” the guy thinks. “That’s the guy who’s been sleeping with my wife!” He’s so furious, he picks up the refrigerator, throws it out the window, has a heart attack, and dies.

St. Peter meets him at the gates of Heaven. “Why are you here?” he asks and the guy answers, “I knew my wife was cheating on me so I came home early. I saw her boyfriend sitting in his Tesla out on the street, threw the refrigerator at him, had a heart attack, and died.” St. Peter scowls and says, “You don’t belong here. Go to hell.” He pulls a big lever, a trap door opens, and the guy disappears.

A couple of minutes later another guy comes up to St. Peter at the gates of Heaven. “What are you doing here?” St. Peter asks and the guy answers, “I don’t know! I was just sitting in my Tesla, minding my own business, when somebody threw a refrigerator at me!” St. Peter wags his finger at him and says, “I heard about you. You go to hell too!” He pulls the big lever, the trap door opens, and the guy disappears.

A couple of minutes later another guy comes up to St. Peter at the gates of Heaven. “What are you doing here?” St. Peter asks and the guy answers, “I don’t know! I was just sitting in a refrigerator, minding my own business…”

Doctor’s warning: Why going without sex can be dangerous

Life has its ups and downs, and so does your sex life. Sometimes weeks — or even months — can pass without intimacy.

But what many don’t realize is that going too long without sex isn’t just frustrating — it could actually be harmful to your health.

Why it matter

New research from NapLab reveals that the average American only has sex once a week. And according to one expert, not getting intimate often enough could have a serious impact on your life.

You might be skeptical about why it matters what you do in the bedroom, but there’s more to it than you think. In fact, abstaining from sex isn’t just physically harmful — it can take a serious toll on your mental well-being too.

Studies show that people who live in celibacy are at a higher risk of experiencing depression, anxiety, and mood swings, according to experts.

Scottish researchers discovered that individuals who refrained from sex had a harder time handling stressful situations, such as public speaking, compared to those who had engaged in intercourse at least once within a two-week span.

Shutterstock

Sexual health specialist and psychiatrist Dr. Sham Singh explains: “Suppressing sexual urges without alternative stress-relieving outlets can build up frustration and also aggravate anxiety or irritability.

Having less sex might mean fewer germs, but it also means missing out on its immune-boosting benefits.

Researchers at Wilkes-Barre University in Pennsylvania found that people who had sex once or twice a week had a 30% higher level of an antibody that helps defend the body against viruses, compared to those who had sex infrequently or not at all.

Going long periods without sex

The connection between well-being and sexual habits became especially clear during the COVID-19 pandemic, as researchers conducted a study on the topic.

According to a 2021 study analyzing the sex lives of 4,000 people, those who had more sex during the pandemic reported lower levels of anxiety compared to those who were completely abstinent.

This may be linked to endorphins — brain chemicals that help reduce pain and stress. During sex, endorphin levels can spike by as much as 200%.

However, going long periods without sex can also have physical health consequences.

Dr. Sham Singh explains, ”In both men and women, the absence of sex release may result in a heightened level of restlessness or tension that may find its way into physical manifestations like muscle tightness, trouble concentrating, or hypersensitivity to touch.”

He also noted that long-term abstinence can impact energy levels, appetite, and sleep due to hormonal changes in testosterone, estrogen, and the stress hormone cortisol.

”Some people may feel more fatigued due to sex being a good way to relax and sleep better, for example, through the release of oxytocin,” he said.

Americans are losing interest in sex

A less active sex life may not only affect older generations, but it’s also becoming increasingly common among younger people, particularly millennials and Gen Z.

A government study has revealed that Americans are losing interest in sex, with one surprising age group leading the trend. According to the latest National Survey of Family Growth, rates of sexlessness are rising nationwide among adults aged 22 to 34. The study shows that 10% of young men and 7% of women in this group are still virgins.

“In sum, for young adult males, sexlessness has roughly doubled across all measures over the last 10 years or so. For young adult females, it has risen by roughly 50 percent,” according to the Institute of Family Studies (IFS), which published an analysis of the study.

A prior Pew Research study revealed that a record 25% of Americans under 40 have never been married. Many people in this age group also reported living solo.

If your dog is sniffing your genital area, here is what it means

Dogs have a way of greeting one another that might leave you a little uncomfortable — sniffing each other’s rear ends. But when your furry friend turns their attention to your crotch, it can feel downright awkward.

So, why do they do this?

For anyone who’s ever had a dog, it’s no surprise that dogs communicate and greet others in various ways, with their sense of smell playing a key role. Dogs explore the world through their noses, and their sniffing habits are how they gather important information.

The dog’s superior sense of smell comes from 220 million scent receptors in their nose. That’s about 50 times more than humans have, giving dogs the ability to detect scents that are completely undetectable to us.

Simply put, dogs are incredibly curious creatures, and they have a keen sense of smell that helps them gather information about you.

Shutterstock

Dogs are drawn to strong odors, explains Jennifer Sperry, a veterinarian with Pets Plus Us Insurance, tells Rover.com. Crotches, with their sweat glands and unique scent, are like a welcome mat for a dog’s nose. For medium to large dogs, the crotch is also easy to reach — much to the discomfort of your visitors.

Fortunately, there are ways to guide your dog’s curiosity into a more courteous greeting. Keep reading to find out why dogs sniff crotches and how you can redirect this behavior.

Why does my dog sniff crotches?

Ever wondered why your dog can’t resist sniffing your crotch? According to Rover, there are a few key reasons behind this behavior that might just surprise you.

First off, the height is ideal for a good sniff! But it’s not just about convenience —your crotch also has a unique feature that makes it a doggy hotspot.

The area is home to apocrine sweat glands, which produce a stronger, more pungent scent than those in other parts of your body. While these glands are also found in places like your armpits and chest, your dog’s nose likely won’t reach those spots.

Moreover, Dr. Sperry points out that dogs tend to target the crotch because it’s a more noticeable scent source compared to other areas, like your hands or feet. So next time your pup gets a little too friendly, remember — it’s all about their keen sense of smell.

Stop dog from sniffing crotches

So, we know that dogs are curious creatures, and when your dog greets a guest by sniffing their crotch, they’re just trying to gather information about them.

But, let’s face it — no one wants a dog’s wet nose in an awkward spot. So, how can you curb this behavior in a way that’s both effective and kind to your furry friend?

1. Redirect, don’t discipline

It might be tempting to scold your dog when they get a little too friendly with a guest, but that can backfire.

Dogs don’t really understand why you’re upset, and it can cause confusion and stress. Instead, try redirecting your dog’s sniffing habits to more appropriate outlets. Here are a few fun alternatives to keep your dog’s nose busy:

  • Snuffle Mats
  • Puzzle Toys
  • Nosework
  • Sniffer Walks

By giving your dog an outlet to indulge their sniffing instincts, they’re less likely to focus on your guests’ private areas.

2. Teach a new trick

A great way to prevent your dog from sniffing your guests’ crotches is by teaching them a more polite greeting.

Dr. Sperry suggests reinforcing the “sit” command as guests walk through the door. This simple trick will keep your dog occupied and prevent awkward moments. You can even teach them a more fun greeting, like a high-five. Here’s how:

  • Make sure your dog is comfortable with the high-five trick beforehand.
  • Have a friend quietly enter the door.
  • Give your dog the cue to perform a high-five.
  • Reward your dog with a treat when they do it correctly.

By rewarding polite greetings, your dog is more likely to choose these over sniffing.

Remember, when your dog sniffs your crotch, they’re not being rude — they’re just trying to learn more about you.

If your dog often sniffs between your legs or others’, you can actually see it as a sign that your dog is happy and using its natural senses in a completely normal way! It’s just your dog’s way of exploring the world and gathering information about those they meet.

But if this behavior is making you or your guests uncomfortable, there are ways to redirect that curiosity. The key? Positive reinforcement! By encouraging alternative, polite behaviors, you’ll build a stronger bond with your pup while making sure everyone feels comfortable.

Meghan Markle says she has changed her famous last name

Meghan Markle has made a bold change — she’s no longer Meghan Markle.

In a surprising twist, the Duchess of Sussex has adopted ”Sussex” as her new last name, following suit with her husband, Prince Harry, and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

A new name

Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, is making waves, not just for its lifestyle tips but also for reigniting discussions about royal names and branding. The Duchess of Sussex raised eyebrows on the show when she revealed that “Sussex” is now her last name. But does this departure from tradition challenge royal conventions?

This whole story began when Meghan Markle corrected Mindy Kaling on her new show, With Love, Meghan, after Kaling referred to the duchess by her maiden name. ”It’s so funny you keep saying Markle,” Meghan said.

”You know it’s Sussex now. You have kids and you go, I share my name with my children. I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me, but it just means so much to go, this is our family name. Our little family now.”

Meghan shared a similar sentiment in a recent interview with People.

She and Harry were given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex by the late Queen Elizabeth II when they married. According to the Royal Family’s official website, their children’s titles are Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

Meghan explained, ”It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children. I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H, and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”

Meghan described the Sussex name as ”a part of our love story.”

So far, it seems that Meghan has used ”Sussex” as her last name in more informal settings, such as when she spoke with Mindy Kaling and on The Drew Barrymore Show. When she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show to talk about her new projects on March 6, Drew Barrymore introduced her guest by referring to her as ”Meghan Sussex.”

”This is the Fast Five with Meghan Sussex,” Barrymore said, kicking off the segment.

Why its raising eyebrows

Although the former Suits star is still formally known as the Duchess of Sussex, this marked the first time she was publicly addressed as ”Meghan Sussex.” The name change, however, hasn’t come without criticism from royal fans. Meghan’s decision to adopt Sussex as her surname has raised eyebrows, with many questioning it due to her limited ties to the county. Some have even suggested that her proper last name should be ”Mountbatten-Windsor.”

One royal fan remarked, “Her name is NOT Meghan Sussex. Her name is technically Rachel Mountbatten-Windsor. Sussex is a county in England & part of a courtesy title – NOT her last name.”

Another fan was surprised by how Meghan corrected her friend, saying, “So who criticizes a guest like that? And her last name is not Sussex. Wouldn’t it be Mountbatten-Windsor?”

A third commenter wrote, ”’Duchess of Sussex’ is a courtesy title she holds only through her marriage. It is not her surname, and I’m quite sure she doesn’t have ‘Meghan Sussex’ on her California driver’s license. Legally, her last name should be Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, also expressed disappointment, criticizing Meghan for distancing herself from the Markle name, which he believes would upset his late mother.

He shared, “My mum loved Meghan very much but she would be so disappointed to hear that Meghan no longer wants to use the name ‘Markle.’ My mother was proud to be a Markle. So am I.”

He also took issue with Meghan’s presentation on the show, claiming she seemed inauthentic and too focused on perfection.

The couple has been estranged since 2018, after Thomas missed Meghan’s wedding. While some support Thomas, others believe his constant media presence might be why Meghan keeps her distance.

A challenge of royal conventions?

There’s no problem with Meghan using ”Meghan Sussex” as her name.

In fact, many members of the royal family use their titles as surnames. According to Debrett’s, ”The Duke and Duchess of Sussex can, and do, use ‘Sussex’ as their surname. This follows the tradition when Prince Harry used ‘Wales’ as his surname while serving in the army, reflecting his status as the son of the Prince of Wales. Now that he’s the Duke of Sussex, his wife and children are also entitled to use ‘Sussex’ as their surname.”

Given the media’s continued use of her maiden name, as seen in her feature in People, it’s likely that Meghan will still be called Meghan Markle for the foreseeable future.

Meghan’s decision to use “Sussex” as her last name has really got people talking. While some are all for it, others think it’s a bit much since her ties to the county aren’t exactly strong.

And let’s not forget about the whole “Mountbatten-Windsor” debate – there’s always something to stir the pot, isn’t there? What do you think about all this?

David Letterman’s question that left Jennifer Aniston very uncomfortable

David Letterman was once hailed as a master of late-night television, known for his wit and charm. But looking back, not all of his interviews have stood the test of time — at least, not in the eyes of critics.

One encounter, in particular, involved Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston. At first glance, it seemed like just another talk-show moment. But watching it today?

Couldn’t help but praise her legs

A resurfaced photo of Jennifer Aniston and David Letterman has reignited discussions about one of the most uncomfortable moments on The Late Show.

The 2006 interview took place when Jennifer Aniston appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote The Break-Up, a romantic comedy where she starred alongside Vince Vaughn, who also co-wrote and produced the film.

The interview took an awkward turn right from the start when Letterman fixated on Aniston’s legs, repeatedly complimenting them throughout their conversation.

Wearing a black button-down blouse paired with black shorts, Aniston quickly became the focus of Letterman’s admiration. He couldn’t help but praise her legs, and the cameraman followed suit, zooming in to highlight them.

“That’s a tremendous outfit,” he remarked, before doubling down, “and the reason that’s a tremendous outfit is because you have tremendous legs. Fantastic legs. You can only wear that if you have lovely, well-shaped, muscular, lengthy legs”

The actress, clearly taken aback, tried to downplay the comment, laughing it off by saying she had worn shorts simply because of the heat.

While Aniston always handled herself with grace, even she couldn’t hide her discomfort during a particular interview where Letterman seemed fixated on her legs.

But Letterman wouldn’t let it go. As the conversation moved on, he circled back with another remark: “Your legs, you’ve got something there.” The exchange left fans cringing then — and even more so now.

As if that wasn’t uncomfortable enough, he quickly shifted gears and began pressing her about her rumored relationship with Vince Vaughn. Letterman also pressed Aniston on whether it was Vaughn’s idea for her to ”appear naked in the movie.” Caught off guard, Aniston hesitated before deflecting, suggesting that Letterman should have asked Vaughn that question when he was on the show.

Couldn’t resist bringing up Aniston’s legs

Today, we know that Aniston started dating her co-star Vince Vaughn while filming The Break-Up. In a later interview, she revealed that he played a crucial role in helping her heal after her highly publicized divorce.

While speaking about Vaughn, Letterman couldn’t resist bringing up Aniston’s legs. ”I can’t get over your legs, I’m telling you. You got something there,” he remarked.

Later in the conversation, he made another comment that seemed to reference them, saying, ”I hope to God somebody at the house TiVoing this because I can’t stop looking at this shot.” While it wasn’t entirely clear what shot he meant, Aniston’s uncomfortable expression suggested it was yet another focus on her legs.

And this wasn’t the first time Letterman made Aniston visibly uncomfortable. In a now-infamous 1998 interview, he grabbed her neck and sucked on a strand of her hair. Aniston, visibly uneasy, wiped her hair with a tissue Letterman handed her.

since we’re talking about david letterman being awful.. is anyone ever going to address this? pic.twitter.com/ZU5wIpsTFg— ruby (@ifibeIieve) February 14, 2021

He then handed her a tissue to wipe off the saliva, adding to the awkwardness of the exchange.

Aniston handled it with grace, as she has so many times throughout her career. Known for maintaining her composure no matter the situation, she managed to keep the conversation going.

Even after such an uncomfortable moment, she later returned to The Late Show, proving once again that she could rise above even the most awkward encounters.

Two years after her infamous ”leg” moments with Letterman, Jennifer Aniston returned to the show, this time wearing a chic pink party dress that once again reminded viewers just how stunning she was.

Images from the clip have gone viral on social media recently, but most people seem to focus on Jennifer’s legs and overlook what she’s actually holding in her hand.

Because this time, the Hollywood icon had more than just her looks on display. While the actress was busy trying to dodge personal questions, including one about her relationship with John Mayer, she also took a moment to present the host with a thoughtful gift.

Aniston, who had graced the cover of GQ wearing nothing but a red, white, and blue necktie, presented the gift to the Late Show host while promoting her new film Marley & Me.

“It’s an early Christmas present,” she said with a smile.

Letterman wasted no time in taking off his current tie and putting on the new one with Aniston’s help. She handed him the Brooks Brothers tie she wore on the cover of GQ magazine, saying, “This is a highlight of my career.” Letterman, wearing the tie with pride, joked, “Funny, the tie said the same thing during the photoshoot.”

”This is exciting, I’m dressing Dave!” she exclaimed.

When the tie appeared a little too short, Letterman quipped, ”You know what they say about guys with short ties.”

It was a playful moment, and fans couldn’t help but gasp at the surprising gesture.

While Aniston has never spoken out against these encounters, looking back, it’s clear these moments haven’t aged well. What was once dismissed as late-night humor is now sparking a new conversation — one that’s hard to ignore.

JD Vance Recalls Chilling Text His Wife Sent Him At Dinner With CEOs

Vice President JD Vance disclosed the specifics of an odd exchange with a multibillionaire technology CEO.

In a speech at the American Dynamism Summit, Vance described how he and his wife, Usha Vance, discussed the societal concerns of replacing workers with artificial intelligence during a dinner event they hosted in 2017 with a prominent group of Silicon Valley business leaders.

Vance recalled that one of the rich CEOs assured him that he was not concerned about job loss, claiming that ‘digital fully immersive gaming’ would give people a new sense of purpose, the Daily Mail reported.

“You would know his name if I mentioned it, he was the CEO of a multibillion-dollar company,” Vance said, without revealing the identity of the person who made the comment.

“My wife texted me under the table and said, ‘We have to get the hell out of here, these people are f-ing crazy,’” he continued.

Vance delivered strong support for President Trump’s trade policies this week, arguing that it will have a positive impact on the United States long term.

While delivering remarks at the American Dynamism Summit, the vice president excoriated the entire premise behind globalism and eliminating manufacturing jobs in America.

“But first, President Trump is starting with and is dead serious about rearranging our trade and tariff regime internationally. It must happen. We believe that tariffs are a necessary tool to protect our jobs and our industries from other countries, as well as the labor value of our workers in a globalized market. In fact, combined with the right technology, they allow us to bring jobs back to the United States of America and create the jobs of the future,” Vance declared.

“Just look in the past few months at the auto industry as an important example. When you erect a tariff wall around a critical industry like auto manufacturing, and you combine that with advanced robotics and lower energy costs and other tools that increase the productivity of you as labor, you give American workers a multiplying effect. Now that, in turn, allows firms to make things here at a price-competitive basis,” Vance added.

“Our president gets that, which is why last month we posted 9,000 new auto jobs after many many years of stagnation or even decline in the auto sector. It’s why, just weeks in, we already have new plant or production announcements from Honda, from Hyundai and Stellantis worth billions of dollars and thousands of additional jobs on top the ones that were already created,” he continued.

Vance said, “I’d ask my friends both on the tech optimist side and on the populist side not to see the failure of the logic of globalization as a failure of innovation. Indeed, I’d say that globalization’s hunger for cheap labor is a problem precisely because it’s been bad for innovation. Both our working people, our populists, and our innovators gathered here today have the same enemy, and the solution, I believe, is American innovation, because in the long run it’s technology that increases the value of labor.”

“Innovations like the American system and the interchangeable parts revolution it sparked or Ford’s moving assembly line that skyrocketed the productivity of our workers — that’s how American industry became the envy of the world. And that’s what I really want to talk about today, why innovation is key to winning the worldwide manufacturing competition, to giving our workers a fair deal and to reclaiming our heritage via America’s great industrial come back, and I believe that’s what we’re on the cusp of, a great American industrial come back,” he concluded.

Earlier this month, the Republican-controlled House voted to block Congress from quickly challenging tariffs imposed by Trump.

The 216-214 vote, largely along party lines, delays lawmakers’ ability to force a vote to revoke Trump’s tariffs and immigration actions for the rest of the year.

Since taking office, Trump has announced a series of tariffs that have strained relations with major trading partners such as Mexico and China, and this week he escalated a trade war with Canada—moves that have rattled markets and prompted business leaders to warn of weakening consumer demand.

Trump has stated that the tariffs are intended to address unbalanced trade relations, repatriate jobs, and stem the flow of illegal narcotics from abroad, Reuters noted.

The vote effectively halted an effort to challenge his tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico.

“Every House Republican who voted for this measure is voting to give Trump expanded powers to raise taxes on American households through tariffs with full knowledge of how he is using those powers, and every Republican will own the economic consequences of that vote,” DelBene and fellow Democrat, Rep. Don Beyer from Virginia, claimed in a statement.

“This is an appropriate balance of powers and we trust this White House to do the right thing, and I think that was the right vote and it was reflected in the vote count,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said when asked by Reuters why he was okay with ceding more power to the Executive Branch regarding trade.

Judge Who Tried to Ground Migrant Gang Flights Hit With Impeachment

A House Republican lawmaker has introduced articles of impeachment against the federal judge who blocked the Trump administration’s deportation flights conducted under the Alien Enemies Act, Fox News reported exclusively on Monday.

“For the past several weeks, we’ve seen several rogue activist judges try to impede the president from exercising, not only the mandate voters gave him, but his democratic and constitutional authority to keep the American people safe,” Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital. “This is another example of a rogue judge overstepping his…authority.”

Gill’s resolution accuses U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg of abusing his authority by imposing an emergency halt on the Trump administration’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants under a wartime power established in 1798. President Donald Trump recently invoked the law to remove members of the Venezuelan criminal gang Tren de Aragua from the U.S.

“Chief Judge Boasberg required President Trump to turn around planes midair that had aliens associated with Tren De Aragua, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization,” the resolution said. “This conduct jeopardizes the safety of the nation, represents an abuse of judicial power, and is detrimental to the orderly functioning of the judiciary. Using the powers of his office, Chief Judge Boasberg has attempted to seize power from the Executive Branch and interfere with the will of the American people.”

In a brief interview with Fox News Digital just before filing his resolution, Gill indicated that he preferred the matter to proceed through the House in the traditional process—starting with a review by the House Judiciary Committee, where he serves as a member.

“I’ll be talking to [Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio] about it,” Gill said. “I think the best way to do this…is to go through the judiciary committee, which is where impeachment of judges runs through. I think the more we can stick with that plan, the better.”

A legal battle is intensifying after Judge Boasberg verbally issued a 14-day restraining order on Saturday night, blocking the Trump administration’s plan to deport members of Tren de Aragua. The ruling came in response to arguments from human rights groups, who claim that Venezuelan nationals with legitimate asylum claims could be wrongfully deported despite having no known ties to the notorious gang.

The Texas Republican, who serves as class president for first-term members in the 119th Congress, initially threatened to file articles of impeachment against Boasberg on Sunday. Trump endorsed the effort on Tuesday morning with a fiery post on his Truth Social account.

Trump called him a “Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator,” adding, “HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY.”

“I’m just doing what the VOTERS wanted me to do. This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!!” Trump wrote.

Gill claimed that Boasberg was knowingly “tying the president’s hands so that Trump and his team, instead of executing on the mandate the voters gave him, are litigating every single action that the president is taking.” He said it was “unconstitutional” and a “usurpation of executive authority.”

The Trump administration has pointed out that the judge’s written order was issued after two planes carrying alleged gang members were already in the air, arguing it was too late to turn the planes around at that point. A third plane that took off after the first two was not carrying any Alien Enemies Act deportees, the administration said.

“All of the planes that were subject to the written order, the judge’s written order, took off before the order was entered in the courtroom on Saturday,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday, adding that the White House did not defy any order.

However, later in the day, the judge pushed back during a hearing in his courtroom, per The Associated Press, saying to the U.S. attorney for the administration, “I’m just asking how you think my equitable powers do not attach to a plane that has departed the U.S., even if it’s in international airspace.”

DOGE Uncovers ‘Magic Money Computers’ Issuing Payments From Treasury

Elon Musk told Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Monday that “magic money computers” within the U.S. government are generating payments “out of thin air,” leaving lawmakers clueless about federal spending.

Speaking on Cruz’s podcast, Musk revealed that 14 such systems exist within the U.S. Treasury and other agencies, transferring large sums without the necessary evidence to justify the payments. Musk claimed that in departments housing one of these systems, reported spending could be off by as much as 5 percent of the budget when presented to Congress, while Cruz suggested that these improper payments could potentially total “trillions” of dollars.

“They’re mostly at Treasury,” Musk said about the computers discovered by his U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, “but there’s some at [Health and Human Services], there’s one or two at State, there’s some at [the Department of Defense].”

“I think we’ve found now 14 magic money computers. They just send money out of nothing,” he told the Texas Republican senator.

Expounding on DOGE’s discovery, the unconventional entrepreneur explained that the presence of these computers prevents the Treasury Dept. from fully informing lawmakers about the federal government’s total spending.

“You may think that government computers all talk to each other, they all synchronize, they add up what funds are going somewhere and its coherent and that the numbers you’re presented as a senator are actually the real numbers. They’re not,” he said.

“How does it work?” Cruz asked.

Musk responded: “It just issues payments!”

WATCH:

The federal government, as the issuer of the U.S. dollar, possesses the ability to print or create money to meet its financial obligations, a concept known as modern monetary theory.

Experts speaking with the Daily Mail speculated that Musk’s disclosure might be an effort to pressure Trump Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to end this controversial practice.

“Either Elon is dumb, which we know he’s not, or this is a cynical ploy to undermine trust in Treasury. @SecScottBessent should tell us whether he agrees with this,” wrote journalist Laura Windsor on X.

“They’re actually kinda correct. The federal government issues money out of thin air. It’s not like a household that needs to have a dollar before spending it. The gov is the *issuer* of the dollar—so it creates it. We can either use it to pay for healthcare or fund wars overseas,” said The Debt Collective, a group that encourages those with student loan debt to go on strike and withhold payments.

Earlier this month, DOGE released shocking findings that the Biden-Harris administration had awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracts to an unexpected group: children.

An agency announcement revealed that the Small Business Administration disbursed $312 million in payments to companies whose purported owners are under the age of 11. This disclosure comes as DOGE works to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending.

“While it is possible to have business arrangements where this is legal, that is highly unlikely for these 5,593 loans, as they all also used an SSN with the incorrect name,” the agency wrote. “@DOGE and @SBAgov are working together to solve this problem this week.”

During the announcement, DOGE also disclosed that an additional $333 million was distributed in 3,095 loans between 2021 and 2022 to businesses owned by individuals aged 115 or older.

In cases involving businesses allegedly owned by children, Biden administrators approved nearly 5,600 such loans between 2020 and 2021—almost all of which were forgiven without repayment after the owners pledged to use the funds to avoid staff layoffs.

Bondi Directs DOJ to Challenge Biden’s Death Row Commutations

Before leaving office, former President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of several killers on death row. Now, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi wants to reverse those decisions and tell state officials to go after the death penalty for the inmates.

Bondi wrote a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) employees about the commutes. In the letter, she said that Biden’s decision to grant the commutes “undermined our justice system and subverted the rule of law.”

“The commutations also robbed the victims’ families of the justice promised — and fought hard to achieve — by the Department of Justice,” Bondi wrote. “The Department of Justice is directed to immediately commence the following actions to achieve justice for the victims’ families of the 37 commuted murderers.”

“Explore opportunities to provide a public forum for the victims’ families to express how the commutations affected them personally,” Bondi said, calling it an “important step” toward building trust and holding people accountable, Fox News reported.

Bondi said she would tell U.S. attorneys’ offices to use state law instead of federal law to go after people whose death sentences had been reduced. She said this would only happen “where appropriate and legally permissible” and “after consultation with the families of the victims and other interested parties.”

“The Capital Case Section shall assist the United States Attorney’s Offices in implementing this directive,” Bondi’s letter stated.

“Third, the Federal Bureau of Prisons is directed to ensure that the conditions of confinement for each of the 37 commuted murderers are consistent with the security risks those inmates present because of their egregious crimes, criminal histories, and all other relevant considerations,” she added.

In late December, Biden took 37 people off of federal death row and changed their sentences to life in prison without the chance of release.

Biden only left three mass killers on death row: Dylann Roof, who killed nine people at a church in Charleston, South Carolina; Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who set off the bombs at the Boston Marathon; and Robert Bowers, who shot up the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018.

Bondi made headlines last week when the Justice Department issued a letter stating that it has determined many removal restrictions for administrative law judges to be unconstitutional.

The decision follows growing frustration within the Trump administration over judicial roadblocks to its executive actions.

In the letter, acting U.S. Solicitor General Sarah Harris informed President Pro Tempore Chuck Grassley (R-IA) that the Justice Department “has concluded that the multiple layers of removal restrictions for administrative law judges” violate the U.S. Constitution.

The letter means the administration “will no longer defend” the removal restrictions in court or litigation.

For reference, Harris cited a 2010 decision from the Supreme Court, which said that granting “multilayer protection from removal” to executive officers “is contrary to Article II’s vesting of the executive power in the President.”

The Department of Justice also argues that the federal law limiting the dismissal of administrative law judges to cases of “good cause” violates Article II of the Constitution. That federal statute limits “the President’s ability to remove principal executive officers, who are in turn restricted in their ability to remove inferior executive officers.”

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the federal government employs administrative law judges to oversee laws and regulations across various sectors, including banking, antitrust, immigration, and interstate commerce. These judges differ from Article III federal judges, who preside over federal courts and hold positions explicitly recognized by the Constitution.

In recent years, the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that federal agencies lack the broad regulatory authority they have long asserted, as noted in a Reuters report.

One such ruling found that the Securities and Exchange Commission’s use of in-house administrative law judges to adjudicate enforcement actions was unconstitutional.

Chad Mizelle, chief of staff for Attorney General Pam Bondi, shared a copy of the letter on X and told The New York Times that the administration is taking the necessary steps to challenge the “unelected and constitutionally unaccountable” administrative law judges.

“In accordance with Supreme Court precedent, the department is restoring constitutional accountability so that executive branch officials answer to the president and to the people,” he added.

Mizelle said that the administrative law judges have “exercised immense power for far too long.”

Trump Makes Bittersweet Announcement After Winning Golf Club Championship

President Donald Trump made a bittersweet announcement this week, suggesting that he may have reached the twilight of his golfing days.

Trump, who won the annual tournament at his Palm Beach County club, said it was “probably my last” after dominating on the same green where he was nearly assassinated last August.

“I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida. Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the event. Such fun!” Trump wrote in a social media post, the Daily Caller reported.

Although the entire course is one of 18 owned by the Trump Organization worldwide, it is generally regarded as the crown jewel because it essentially functions as President Trump’s garden at his Mar-a-Lago home. Since the day of the inauguration, he has been visiting the property virtually every weekend, signing executive orders and giving spontaneous press appearances.

The White House published images of President Trump watching a fleet of American missiles rain down on Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen while wearing golf apparel the day before the golf event.

The Republican’s passion for golf has been a defining characteristic of his public life, providing fans with one last chance to witness Trump engaging in his favorite activity.

Three months into his second term, Trump reached the highest approval rating of his presidency, while more Americans believe the country is on the right track than at any point since 2004, according to a new NBC News poll.

However, the bad news is that Trump still has not garnered the support of a majority of Americans.

In fact, 54% of respondents disapprove of his handling of the economy, marking the first time he has lost a majority on this issue in NBC’s polling.

“Even so, the survey found that voters generally feel Trump is bringing ‘the right kind of change’ on the key issues — even tariffs,” the New York Post reported, citing the NBC News survey. “More Americans support his changes to trade policy (41%) than oppose them (38%), according to NBC.”

NBC poll respondents seem to be giving Trump some leeway on inflation: 40% said his policies are having a positive effect, while 30% believe they’re having a negative impact, and 28% feel Trump’s policies aren’t making any difference, The Post said.

The poll also highlights how Trump remains a polarizing figure, with his approval rating among Republicans at a solid 90%, compared to just 4% among Democrats. This marks the largest gap in approval ratings between a president’s own party and the opposition party in the past 80 years, according to NBC.

Overall, 47% of voters approve of Trump, while 51% disapprove, marking an all-time high in the poll. He had previously reached 47% approval in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, and again in October 2018.

NBC’s findings align with most other polling, with RealClearPolitics’ latest aggregate showing Trump with an average 48.2% approval rating, The Post noted.

Trump’s approval is notably higher than it was at this stage in his first term (44%), according to RCP, though still below where former President Joe Biden stood at the same point (53%).

In a positive sign for Trump, NBC News also found that 44% of registered voters believe the country is on the right track, the highest in two decades, while 54% feel it’s heading in the wrong direction.

While still largely pessimistic, this marks the most optimistic outlook on the country’s direction in the poll since President George W. Bush was in office 20 years ago.

This represents a dramatic shift from the previous administration.

Last September, only 28% of polled voters told NBC News they believed the country was on the right track, while 65% felt it was headed in the wrong direction.

Bongino Praised For Early Moves As FBI Deputy Director

Dan Bongino wasted no time making an impact in his new role as Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, reports said on Monday.

Soon after being sworn in, Bongino honored fallen FBI agents by visiting the agency’s Wall of Honor, a gesture that quickly earned widespread praise from his supporters.

The FBI’s official account shared the moment on social media, noting: “After his swearing-in ceremony as FBI Deputy Director, Dan Bongino paid his respects at the Wall of Honor, honoring the brave members of the #FBI who made the ultimate sacrifice and reflecting on the legacy of those who paved the way in the pursuit of justice and security.”

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and NYPD officer, was appointed to the position last month by President Donald Trump, signaling a significant shift in leadership within the bureau.

Trump posted the announcement on his Truth Social account: “Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel. Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve. Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”

Later, Trump added: “Another aspect of the life of Dan Bongino that I think is very important. He has a great wife, Paula, and two wonderful daughters who truly love their dad. What an incredible job Dan will do!!!”

On X, Bongino responded, simply writing, “Thank you Mr. President, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel.”

In the days before Trump’s announcement — and likely when Bongino had already been approached about the FBI deputy directorship — the former Secret Service agent called out Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on his popular podcast.

“Why is Adam Schiff so worried? I strongly encourage you to go back and take another look today at the Russia collusion hoax,” Bongino began during a segment.

After noting that the story is now several years old, Bongino added: “I’m gonna be straight with you. I don’t wanna move on.”

“We had the FBI in conjunction with the Department of Justice, officials in Congress, foreign governments and intel people fabricate a story, invent a story that could have caused and done serious long-term harm to international relations with a nuclear-powered foe,” he added. “It’s kind of a big freakin’ deal.”

“Listen to me — this is gonna be very important in the coming days,” he went on, perhaps dropping a hint about his pending appointment to the FBI.

“I’m not letting this go. I wanna find out what happened because it can never happen again. Not to a Democrat. Not a Republican. Not to a Libertarian. Not to any United States citizen,” Bongino said.

“You do not get to alter or try to change the course of electoral politics by fabricating a story hijacking the justice system then to give the patina of truth to a fake story,” he continued. “You don’t get to do that.”

“Why do I bring that up now? Because who was the ringmaster of that circus? Yes, Adam Schiff, and no, I’m not letting it go,” he added.

Trump Removes Secret Service Protection For Hunter, Ashley Biden

President Donald Trump announced Monday that the adult children of former President Joe Biden will no longer receive protection from the U.S. Secret Service.

In a Truth Social post, Trump noted that Hunter Biden has received Secret Service protection for an “extended period of time.”

“There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!” Trump wrote. “Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection.”

Ashley Biden, Hunter’s sister, will also have her Secret Service protection revoked. Trump noted that 13 agents were assigned to her security detail, Fox News reported.

“We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden,” the Secret Service told Fox News Digital. “The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Under federal law, former presidents and their spouses receive lifetime Secret Service protection, but protection for their immediate family members over the age of 16 ends once they leave office. However, both Trump and Biden extended Secret Service details for their children for six months before leaving office, according to the Associated Press.

Biden allowed Barron Trump to continue receiving Secret Service protection after his 16th birthday, the AP added.

In his post, Trump stated that Biden was vacationing in South Africa, a country facing increasing pressure from the U.S. administration due to its land expropriation law, which allows the government to seize land without compensation. Trump also criticized South Africa for its support of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas and Iran, claiming that the land seizures discriminate against White landowners.

“Because of this, South Africa has been taken off our list of Countries receiving Economic and Financial Assistance,” Trump wrote.

Last week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared that South Africa’s ambassador to the United States “is no longer welcome” in the country. In a Friday webinar, Ebrahim Rasool discussed the Trump administration’s crackdowns on diversity and equity programs, as well as immigration policies, accusing the U.S. president of embracing and spreading “white supremacy.”

“The supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the U.S.A., the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to very clear data that shows great demographic shifts in the U.S.A. in which the voting electorate in the U.S.A. is projected to become 48% white,” the South African ambassador said.

Rubio lashed out at Rasool as a “race-baiting” South African politician who hates Trump while also declaring him “persona non grata” in the U.S.

Three months into his second term, President Donald Trump reached the highest approval rating of his presidency, while more Americans believe the country is on the right track than at any point since 2004, according to a new NBC News poll released Sunday.

However, the bad news is that Trump still has not garnered the support of a majority of Americans, while 54% of respondents disapprove of his handling of the economy, marking the first time he has lost a majority on this issue in NBC’s polling.

“Even so, the survey found that voters generally feel Trump is bringing ‘the right kind of change’ on the key issues — even tariffs,” the New York Post reported, citing the NBC News survey. “More Americans support his changes to trade policy (41%) than oppose them (38%), according to NBC.”

Senate Votes 100-0 To End Aid to Azerbaijan As War Concerns Grow

In a rare display of widespread bipartisanship, the Senate voted 100-0 to cease aid to Azerbaijan for the next two years amid concerns that the country might soon invade neighboring Armenia.

All senators unanimously approved the Armenian Protection Act through unanimous consent. Senator Gary Peters (D-Mich.) introduced the legislation.

The measure’s passing follows the departure of over 100,000 Armenians from the contested Nagorno-Karabakh region due to an ongoing Azerbaijani siege that has endured for more than nine months. Armenia has levied accusations of ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijan.

“We must send a strong message and show our partners around the world that America will enforce the conditions that we attach to military aid,” Peters, who sits on the Armed Services Committee, said on the Senate floor. “If we do not take action when countries willfully ignore the terms of our agreements with them, our agreements will become effectively meaningless and toothless.”

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had previously called on Armenia to open a “corridor” along its southern border, linking mainland Azerbaijan to an exclave that borders Turkey and Iran. Aliyev has threatened to solve the issue “by force.”

Meanwhile, Democrats are still dealing with the fallout in their party after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer allowed the government to be funded by a Republican-crafted continuing resolution.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not mention her Senate counterpart by name, but she shredded the legislation and those who supported it in a post on X.

“Donald Trump and Elon Musk have offered the Congress a false choice between a government shutdown or a blank check that makes a devastating assault on the well-being of working families across America,” the former Speaker said.

“Let’s be clear: neither is a good option for the American people. But this false choice that some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable,” she added.

“I salute Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his courageous rejection of this false choice, and I am proud of my colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus for their overwhelming vote against this bill,” Pelosi continued in a thinly veiled criticism of those who voted in favor of the legislation.

“Democratic senators should listen to the women. Appropriations leaders Rosa DeLauro and Patty Murray have eloquently presented the case that we must have a better choice: a four-week funding extension to keep government open and negotiate a bipartisan agreement,” she said.

“America has experienced a Trump shutdown before – but this damaging legislation only makes matters worse. Democrats must not buy into this false choice. We must fight back for a better way. Listen to the women, For The People,” Pelosi concluded.

Her critique came after House Minority Leader and New York Rep. Hakeem Jeffries refused to answer a question about Schumer staying on as leader in the Senate.

“Is it time for new leadership in the Senate?” a reporter asked Jeffries on Friday.

He dismissively replied: “Next question.”

Former Obama administration official Van Jones said on CNN that he has never seen this kind of anger at a fellow Democrat before.

“We can be grumpy. We can be frustrated with each other, there is a volcanic eruption of outrage at Leader Schumer because we want a Mitch McConnell. I remember when Obama had all the cards, Mitch McConnell drove Obama nuts, twisted his pinky, broke his kneecaps, and got stuff done for Republicans when they shouldn’t have gotten an inch, they got miles,” Jones said.

“We have a Senate majority leader who is beloved in this party, but we want somebody who’s gonna stand up to this bully. Stand up to this bully. Do something. And if you shut the government down and it gets a little bit crazy, at least some politics is about the rationality. There’s an emotional need to stop Donald Trump and Elon Musk from running over this party. And I think Chuck Schumer has radically misread the room,” Jones continued, completely sidestepping the fact that Democrats in the past have roundly criticized Republicans for wanting to shutdown the government.

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also showed her frustration with Schumer when she spoke to CNN host Jake Tapper on Thursday.

“He is going to vote to allow there to be a simple majority vote,” the host said. “You think that’s wrong?”

“I believe that’s a tremendous mistake,” the representative said. “It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we’ve been sent here to protect Social Security, protect Medicaid, and protect Medicare.”

VP Vance Defends Trump: ‘Necessary Tool to Protect Our Jobs’

Vice President JD Vance delivered strong support for President Donald Trump’s trade policies this week, arguing that it will have a positive impact on the United States long term.

GOP’s Brandon Gill Calls For Deporting Ilhan Omar Back To Somalia

First-term GOP Rep. Brandon Gill of Texas is calling on the Trump administration to send Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) back to her homeland of Somalia.

“America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,” Gill wrote Tuesday on the X platform.

Included in Gill’s tweet was a video clip featuring Omar, where she appears to be coaching fellow Somalis living in the U.S. — perhaps illegally — how to resist federal immigration officials. The video was posted by conservative influencer Greg Price, who wrote: “Ilhan Omar is now hosting workshops for Somalians living in the country illegally to advise them on how to avoid being deported.”

Several X users backed Gill.

“100%! She’s anti-American as they come. She pledged allegiance to the United States and has only ever acted against it. She’s a fraud, liar, and traitor to this country!” one wrote.

“Isn’t this against the law? Expel her!” said another.

Another user offered: “She is committing federal crimes by telling illegal immigrants how to avoid ice. She deserves to be investigated and prosecuted.”

Later, Gill wrote that “we should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country.”

A spokesperson for Gill told The Hill, “Representative Omar’s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal- the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman and US citizen to facilitate the invasion of our country by illegal alien Somalis.”

In the clip, Omar outlined what Somalians who are “undocumented or who their documentation might have lapsed” should do if they are questioned by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

“You are not obligated to answer their questions. Just state that your are advised by a lawyer not to answer questions,” Omar told the reporter. “Disclosure of your name, immigration status, and the mode of entry is not mandatory. Learn the laws and prepare yourself and refrain from disclosing information that you prefer them not to know.”

Omar was asked about Gill’s comments on Monday, where she told Zeteo’s Mehdi Hasan that, “These people are just idiots.”

“You and I have discussed people attacking you in the past, but you have this new freshman Congressional Representative, this lawmaker Brandon Gill, Republican who tweeted out that video of you and wrote America would be a better place if Ilhan Omar were deported back to Somalia. I mean I thought I’d seen everything, and I’ve seen a lot of attacks on you. But now you have a Republican colleague, dare I say, in the House saying to deport an American citizen, an American lawmaker, and an elected representative. How do you deal with that?” Mehdi asked.

“These people are just idiots — I really am at the point where it has become really hard to have an intellectual debate with any of these people because the level of stupidity that they are displaying every single day is frankly, embarrassing. Not just in Congress but as Americans, and the fact that these people are allowed to say just the most ridiculous things tells you that the dumbing of the United States has arrived, because how else do we get a Trump presidency again?” Omar declared.

Elon Musk’s Chilling Warning: What He’s Exposing Could Put His Life at Risk

During a recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Elon Musk, who now leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), delivered a stark warning that sent shockwaves through political circles and his vast online following.

Musk hinted that if he were to fully reveal the extensive corruption he alleges is plaguing the nation, the personal risks could be extreme—even life-threatening.

Police Arrest Florida Man For Bomb Threat Against Trump

Police in Florida arrested a man for allegedly threatening to kill President Donald Trump with a nuclear bomb during a recorded 9-1-1 call, reports said on Friday.

Justin Blaxton, a resident of Loxahatchee, Florida, made the call on February 26, identifying himself as “Justin Blaze” and repeatedly stating his intention to kill the president, according to authorities, the Daily Caller reported.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), Blaxton claimed to be a revenge-driven Confederate soldier who had hacked into missile silos and was preparing to launch bombs to destroy New York. “My missiles are attracted to Donald Trump’s towers,” he allegedly added.

PBSO’s affidavit claims that Blaxton stated he wanted a ride to the airport to assassinate Trump at the White House. In another statement, according to the police report, Blaxton allegedly said, “I want Donald Trump at my house. Tomorrow is his last day on earth.”

In adding, police said, Blaxton made additional threts, including “burning some houses down.”

“I’m a mass murderer come and get me,” he proclaimed, according to authorities.

Blaxton has been charged with threatening to use a destructive device, making a false report of a bomb or explosion, and making a false 911 call. His bond has been set at $35,000. According to CBS 12 News, Blaxton made his first court appearance for these charges on Wednesday.

The probable cause affidavit states that Blaxton has an “extensive history of mental illness.” On March 2, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) filed a Petition for Temporary Ex Parte Risk Protection Order against Blaxton, which was granted the following day.

John Russell, a former U.S. Secret Service agent, told CBS 12 News that mental illness was the most likely cause of the incident. He called Blaxton’s phone calls “probably the idle rant of somebody who’s mentally deranged.”

This is not Blaxton’s first encounter with the law. A PBSO booking document from June 2024 reveals that he was previously arrested on charges of larceny, battery, and resisting an officer, the Caller reported.

Then-GOP nominee Trump was nearly assassinated shortly after he began speaking at a rally in Butler, Pa., in July. The shooter, Thomas Crooks, nicked the 47th president’s right ear after he fired several rounds before being killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper team.

Crooks’ bullets killed one person and severely wounded another who were seated behind Trump at the venue.

In addition, Secret Service agents thwarted a second alleged attempt at Trump’s golf course in Palm Beach, Fla., less that two months later.

After he won the election, Trump announced that Secret Service agent Sean Curran, who had been the head of his department for years, would be the new director of the agency.

Curran, who had been with the agency for over two decades, led a team of about 85 agents dedicated to protecting the president. He has served in this role for the past two and a half years during Trump’s presidential campaign.

Curran developed the closest relationship with Trump of any current agent and was often positioned closest to him in the innermost ring of Secret Service security, tasked with safeguarding the reelected president on a daily basis, RealClearWire reported.

Curran was also one of the first agents to jump on top of Trump during the assassination attempt on the then-Republican nominee at a rally in Butler. He can be seen in the iconic photo of Trump, blood-stained and pumping his fist in the air, surrounded by agents and an American flag in the background.

Why the 1975 Oscars is still sparking debate and emotions

Looking back at old Oscars photos, especially from the 1970s, sends nostalgic chills down my spine.

There’s something almost haunting about those images — they evoke memories of a different era, a different America, when the Academy Awards truly felt worth watching. Back then, our celebrities exuded class, glamour, beauty, and elegance.

It’s shocking to see so many incredible stars who are no longer with us, reminding us just how fleeting life can be. I used to know every nominee, every film, and every song. Nowadays, I struggle to keep up.

Someone once said that the 1975 ceremony was “back when actors and actresses had class and no political agenda,” and while that may not be entirely true, it certainly feels like we’ve lost something important.

So let’s journey back to the 47th Academy Awards and focus on one particular photo that has sparked intense conversations recently. What is it about this image that has people talking?

”Ugly” and ”grotesque”

It’s hard to discuss the 1975 Oscars without mentioning Dustin Hoffman. The legendary actor, now 87, certainly dominated the pre-show chatter — though perhaps not in the way many might expect.

Nominated for his captivating performance in Lenny, a biographical film about comedian Lenny Bruce, Hoffman wasn’t exactly thrilled about attending the ceremony. Known for his outspoken criticism of the Academy, he labeled the event garish and embarrassing, even going so far as to call it ”ugly” and ”grotesque,” likening it to a beauty pageant.

This sentiment prompted host Bob Hope to quip, “If Dustin Hoffman wins tonight, he’s going to have a friend pick it up for him — George C. Scott,” referencing Scott’s own refusal to accept his Oscar in 1971.

While Hoffman didn’t take home the Best Actor award that night, it didn’t stop Frank Sinatra, one of the evening’s hosts, from taking a jab at him. Sinatra, known for his charisma, made a gratuitous dig that fell flat among the audience.

Sinatra fluffed his lines

It seems Sinatra had a challenging night at the 47th Academy Awards.

Reviews from 1975 were less than kind. Renowned film critic Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that the audience even booed Sinatra during the show.

He appeared slightly tipsy and fluffed his lines, making “several pointed, tasteless references to his fellow Italian-Americans.”

”It was an embarrassing spectacle,” Ebert wrote.

But more controversial things were destined to play out that night.

The speech that infuriated Bob Hope

Speaking of how the award ceremonies were supposedly less political in the past, there’s a story from the 1975 Oscars that strongly contradicts that idea. In April of that year, the Vietnam War was just about to end, and that was certainly felt throughout the evening.

When documentary filmmaker Bert Schneider took the stage to accept the award for Best Documentary for Hearts & Minds, he couldn’t help but bring Vietnam into the spotlight. He remarked, “It’s ironic that we’re here at a time just before Vietnam is about to be liberated.” This wasn’t particularly surprising, given that his critical documentary was centered on the Vietnam War.

However, things escalated when Schneider read a telegram containing “Greetings of Friendship to All American People” from Viet Cong Ambassador Dinh Ba Thi.

The telegram thanked the anti-war movement “for all they have done on behalf of peace,” and that was too much for the Oscar emcee Bob Hope, who was a longtime hawk on the Vietnam war.

Fired back

Unwilling to let it slide, an hour later, Hope wrote a telegram that Frank Sinatra read to the divided audience: ”The academy is saying, ‘We are not responsible for any political references made on the program, and we are sorry they had to take place this evening.’”

This speech infuriated Shirley MacLaine, one of the co-hosts, as well as actor Warren Beatty. Beatty sarcastically fired back, ”Thank you, Frank, you old Republican.” MacLaine added her own sharp comment, saying, ”You said you were speaking for the Academy. Well, I’m a member of the Academy and you didn’t ask me!”

In hindsight, some people felt that Bert Schneider’s comments were relatively mild. Those who knew him noted that his statements at the 1975 Oscars were surprisingly restrained — especially considering how outspoken he could be about the Vietnam War at times.

Collective showbusiness guilt

Ingrid Bergman needs little introduction, and at the 1975 Academy Awards, the legendary Swedish actress was honored with the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Greta Ohlsson in Murder on the Orient Express. At 59, she received a standing ovation from the admiring audience — but her emotions were mixed.

Wikipedia Commons

Presented by Katharine Ross and Peter Falk, Bergman gave a humble and apologetic acceptance speech, remarking that actress Valentina Cortese deserved the award more than she did.

Bergman felt she won the Oscar partly due to Hollywood’s lingering guilt over having turned its back on her in 1949, following her scandalous affair with director Roberto Rossellini.

A striking moment

The 1975 Academy Awards at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California, was truly one for the ages.

It had everything—elegance, iconic stars, political intrigue, and unforgettable films like The Godfather Part II sweeping the night. Looking back, it feels like the peak of Hollywood’s golden era, when celebrities carried a charm and grace that seems rare today.

Hardly surprising, then, that the gala is still talked about. Especially one photo that has sparked attention — even though almost 50 years have passed.

The photo, featuring two of Hollywood’s most iconic figures, Jon Voight and Raquel Welch, continues to spark conversation because it perfectly encapsulates the elegance and allure of that era. However, the image has also sparked some criticism.

On that glamorous evening, Jon Voight was dressed to the nines in a classic black tuxedo, standing beside the dazzling Raquel Welch, who shimmered in a dark pink gown that boldly defied gravity. Together, they took the stage as presenters for the Best Cinematography award. Though neither of the legendary actors was nominated that night, they certainly made a striking impression on the red carpet.

”Jon’s looking like a creep”

The photo from this event has since gone viral on social media.

While most people adore this iconic image, some commenters have raised eyebrows, claiming that Voight’s hold on Raquel Welch looks inappropriate. ”Jon’s looking like a creep. Raquel doesn’t look comfortable. Unless they were a couple—that’s well creepy,” one woman remarked. Another added: ”She looks like he is touching her without her consent 🥺.”

However, there are many who defended the photo and Voight:

“I was a young woman at the time, and having a man hold me like this at an event or elsewhere happened often and was fine. It could feel very good, but of course, some guys were nicer than others—some sleazy ones—but no big deal. Some of the outraged sentiment here just makes me laugh. Lighten up, people!” one commenter stated.

Another chimed in: “Everybody’s so critical. If you were not around at that time, you have no opinion. If you were around then, you know there is zero wrong with this photo! Gezz, people….”

What do you think? Is this snapshot a charming glimpse into the past, or does it reveal uncomfortable truths about gender dynamics in Hollywood? Let’s keep the conversation going — and share this article on Facebook!

Inside Tanya Roberts’ shocking handwritten will

Tanya Roberts was one of the sexiest and funniest actresses of her time, dazzling audiences with her stunning beauty and talent in That ’70s Show and Charlie’s Angels.

Tragically, her unexpected passing was marked by confusion, as her boyfriend mistakenly announced her death , adding a bizarre twist to the loss of this vibrant star.

Tanya Roberts, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, stars of the American TV show ‘Charlie’s Angels’, circa 1980.

Before we dive into the bizarre circumstances surrounding Tanya Roberts’ passing, let’s take a moment to celebrate her incredible contributions to the screen.

In a world where her legacy seems somewhat overlooked today, a closer look at her impressive career reveals just how unforgettable she truly was. And I’m sure she created cherished memories for many of you reading this.

Running away from home

Born Victoria Leigh Blum in 1949, Tanya Roberts grew up in the gritty Bronx of New York City. The little girl with ice-blue eyes lived in a poor old house with her mother and big sisters. Despite her modest life, Roberts had big dreams of wearing beautiful clothes, riding horses, living in a mansion, and shopping in limousines. Most of all, she wanted to be a star in Hollywood.

At just 15 years old, she took a bold step and ran away to chase her dreams. This was after her family had moved to Toronto, where a tragic event would lead Roberts to distance herself from them. One day, shortly after her father tragically passed away, Tanya felt the walls closing in on her.

In that moment, she decided to leave home. After a heated argument with her mother, Roberts packed her bags and moved to a place in the Village, a neighborhood in Toronto. She supported herself by selling dance lessons to ”old guys”, who lusted after her body.

It wasn’t long before she met another boy, Colin, who had also dropped out of school. She fell head over heels for him.

“It just happened. A stupid, spontaneous thing. Colin was two years older than me, a Canadian, a dropout, doing nothing. It was a love affair that turned into hatred. We never were friends. We didn’t get along at all. But I loved him, you know. I was butterflies. I’d look at him and gasp, ‘Oh my God!’ I responded to the palpitations of the heart.”

Married in secret

The couple was together for seven months and married in secret. They moved to New York together, but then Colin’s mother intervened, annulling the marriage. Roberts and Colin were far too young and hadn’t received their parents’ consent.

Roberts never told her mother about the marriage; she didn’t want to shock her. Soon after, the relationship with Colin ended, but another man entered Roberts’s life— one who would change her whole life.

As Tanya Roberts pursued her acting dreams in New York, she met Barry Roberts while waiting in line for a movie. He was a truck driver earning $30 a week, and he quickly became her next great love.

It was actually Tanya who proposed to Barry in a subway station, and they quickly tied the knot in 1973. Her husband had originally set his sights on becoming a psychologist but soon dropped out of his studies to write scripts for various TV networks.

The couple moved to Hollywood, determined to lead as normal a life as possible.

”You know you’ve got the right guy when you can sit at home with him Saturday night, just you and him and pizza,” Tanya shared in 1980.

For most of their lives, Tanya and Barry lived peacefully and happily, tucked away in the serene and private surroundings of their secluded home in the Hollywood Hills.

“Living here is like being in the country, but civilization isn’t far away when I need it,” Tanya exclusively shared with Closer Weekly in 2015. “It’s the house I’d always dreamed of.”

Spell on Charlie’s Angels

Tanya Roberts’ upbringing on the streets of Bronx served her well when she landed the role of the streetwise Julie Roberts in Charlie’s Angels. Before that, she had already made a name for herself as a model in television ads and took on serious roles in off-Broadway productions like Picnic and Antigone.

However, it was in the summer of 1980 that the world truly took notice of her.

Tanya was chosen from over 2,000 candidates to replace Shelley Hack in the beloved detective series Charlie’s Angels, which was struggling to attract viewers.

The producers hoped that the vibrant 26-year-old would inject new life into the show alongside her co-stars, Jaclyn Smith, the last original ‘Angel,’ and Cheryl Ladd. With her charisma and talent, Tanya was determined to help turn the series around.

”I think there’s a lot of enthusiasm on the set. We are a real team. It’s very important for us to get along because it shows in our work. I think it’s hard do continually make a classy show every week for five years with three girls. It’s not Shakespeare but I think the public looks forward to seeing something new every week,” Roberts told The Daily Herald-Tribune in 1981.

Unfortunately, despite her efforts, Roberts — who described herself as a ‘workaholic’— couldn’t revive the series, and Charlie’s Angels was canceled in 1981.

However, her talent and dedication led to new opportunities in her career.

Nominated for Golden Raspberry Award

After Charlie’s Angels, Robert’s starred in a string of films that gained cult status, including The Beastmaster (1982), Sheena: Queen of the Jungle (1984), Body Slam (1987), and Night Eyes (1990).

Most people, however, associate her with her iconic roles as Stacey Sutton in the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill and as Midge Pinciotti on That ’70s Show, where she captivated audiences from 1998 to 2004.

In A View to a Kill, Tanya Roberts starred alongside Roger Moore, and the film became a massive box office success. However, critics weren’t entirely convinced; in retrospect, Moore himself expressed disappointment, stating that it was his worst Bond film due to its excessive blood and violence.

At 57, the Hollywood legend faced criticism for being too old for the role, and he even quipped about the age gap, revealing that he was mortified to discover he was older than Roberts’ mother. In a December 2007 interview, he humorously remarked, ”I was only about four hundred years too old for the part.”

Tanya, too, faced her share of criticism after her Bond debut. Interestingly, she wasn’t the original choice for the role. Producers had initially hoped to cast Priscilla Presley, but she was tied up with her contract for Dallas. They even considered former Bond girl Barbara Bach before ultimately selecting Tanya Roberts. Despite her efforts, she was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress, although she lost the dubious honor to Linda Blair, who appeared in Night Patrol.

Losing her husband

For the younger generation, many recognize Tanya Roberts from her role as Midge Pinciotti on the beloved sitcom That ’70s Show. She was a cherished presence on the show but had to leave after the third season.

The reason? Her husband, Barry, had become seriously ill, and she wanted to be there for him. Tragically, Barry died at the age of 60 after a long four-and-a-half-year battle with encephalitis, a condition that causes inflammation of the brain tissue, leading to personality changes, seizures, and weakness.

Tanya and Barry stood by each other from their marriage in 1973 until his passing in 2006. The couple never had any children.

Mysterious death

After the heartbreaking loss of her husband Barry in 2006, Tanya Roberts found love again with Lance O’Brien. The two met while working for Tahiti Village, a Las Vegas resort — Tanya as a spokesmodel. They spent 18 years together, seemingly inseparable, but their world took a tragic turn in December 2020.

At 71, Tanya was still vibrant and full of life, known for her daily hikes up the Hollywood Hills. Described as ”healthy as a horse,” there was no indication of any serious health issues. However, just before Christmas, Tanya began experiencing lower intestinal pain and difficulty breathing.

These symptoms surfaced during one of her hikes, and though she initially thought it might be COVID-19. Early the next morning, she collapsed, unable to get up, and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

Doctors determined Tanya had developed a severe urinary tract infection that had progressed to sepsis. The infection quickly spread to her liver, kidneys, and gallbladder, ultimately leading to multi-organ failure.

Tubes up her nose

“She was talking when I called 911. Next thing I know, she’s in intensive care on oxygen and she’s extremely sick,” O’Brien shared with the Daily Mail.

When O’Brien was finally allowed to see her, Tanya was barely conscious, kept alive by a ventilator. The iconic actress, who had once graced screens as a glamorous star, could only blink in response to her partner’s presence.

”When she saw me and I was there, I saw her eyes open,” he said. “I felt good. I said, ‘Hey, her eyes are opening. Her eyes are opening.’ They told me that’s just a reflex,” O’Brien told Inside Edition.

Sadly, Tanya’s final days were both chaotic and heartbreaking.

O’Brien expressed his frustration with the hospital’s handling of Tanya’s care, stating, “She had tubes up her nose and throat, and they kept calling her Victoria —she hasn’t been called that since she was a teenager. It was so busy, I can’t begin to tell you what an awful, terrible experience it was.”

“I think COVID played a big part in it,” O’Brien added. “If you called the hospital, it sounded like something out of [sitcom] M.A.S.H.

Cause of death

Tanya’s condition worsened, and on January 3, 2021, she was taken off life support. The beloved star passed away on January 4.

However, the aftermath of her death was even more chaotic. The news of Tanya’s passing was initially announced prematurely by her publicist, leading to confusion.

In a bizarre twist, O’Brien learned she was still alive during a live interview with Inside Edition.

“Now, you’re telling me she’s alive?” O’Brien exclaimed, answering a phone call from the hospital mid-interview. Crying, he added, “The hospital is telling me she is alive. They are calling me from the ICU team.”

Eventually, all the confusion cleared up, and it became evident that Tanya Roberts had indeed passed away. However, the mix-ups didn’t stop there – several sources incorrectly reported her age as 65 at the time of her death. Despite the fact that she was actually 71, some outlets still haven’t corrected this mistake, even three years later.

Her last will

The handwritten note left behind by Tanya Roberts offered a hauntingly intimate and bittersweet glimpse into her final thoughts. According to Fox News, Roberts left her entire estate, valued at over $3 million, to her longtime partner, Lance O’Brien. She signed the note using both her Hollywood name, Tanya Roberts, and her birth name, Victoria Blum.

“I have no reason to live,” Tanya wrote, and she also made it clear that none of her estate would go to her sister, Barbara Leary, or her nephew, Zack Leary.

Instead, Roberts left everything to O’Brien, though the letter suggests their relationship may not have been as loving as it seemed to the public.

”I want to leave my house … and all its belongings to my best friend Lance O’Brien – I also leave my two dogs and my Pension Plan check to Lance O’Brien,” the actress penned, as captured in images obtained by Page Six.

Perhaps the most heartbreaking part of the note comes when she acknowledged the disconnect in their relationship. ”I know you don’t love me but you have been a true friend & for that I’m [grateful],” she wrote. ”Have a good life & don’t blame this on yourself. I was always [too] sensitive to live in this world.”

Behind the face

Tanya Roberts’ final chapter may have been marked by sorrow and confusion, but it’s important to remember the light she brought into the world.

When you take a moment to look back at old photos of her — whether she’s on set, starring in her iconic roles, or even candid behind-the-scenes shots — a picture emerges of a woman who was not only stunningly beautiful but fiercely independent.

Flickr / Rob Corder

At just 15, she knew exactly what she wanted out of life. Becoming a Charlie’s Angel made her immortal in Hollywood’s eyes, but what really stood out was how she handled fame. While some may have expected her journey through stardom to come with heartbreak, bad roles, or failed marriages, Tanya took a different path.

She remained loyal to her husband, Barry Roberts, staying by his side through illness and even stepping away from her career to care for him. That kind of dedication and strength speaks volumes about the kind of woman she truly was.

Looking back at those early photos and moments reminds us of her grace, resilience, and the lasting impression she left on her fans and loved ones alike!

Simon laughed, thinking this was just another audition, until the first note hit, The second he opened his mouth, the entire room changed, Simons smirk disappeared, replaced by wide-eyed disbelief, Gasps rippled through the audience, the judges sat frozen, jaws dropping lower with every second, Was this even real? What happened next left the entire theater in stunned silence

The stage was silent as the contestant stepped forward, gripping the microphone with steady hands. He was young, too young for the deep, impossible voice that would soon leave the entire theater in shock.

Simon leaned back in his chair, smirking as he glanced at the audition form. “And what will you be singing today?”

The contestant smiled. “Tennessee Ernie Ford’s ‘Sixteen Tons.’”

A chuckle rippled through the audience. Simon raised an eyebrow, amused. A kid taking on such a deep, legendary song? This was going to be interesting.

Then, the music started.

And in an instant, the entire room shifted.

The first note hit, and the smirk vanished from Simon’s face. The contestant’s voice wasn’t just good—it was unreal. Deep, soulful, rich with emotion beyond his years. The audience gasped. One judge’s hand flew to their mouth, eyes widening in disbelief.

Simon leaned forward, his expression frozen in shock. This wasn’t what he had expected. Not even close.

The boy sang effortlessly, his voice carrying through the theater with the weight of a seasoned artist. The low, rumbling tones vibrated through the air, sending chills down every spine in the room. People exchanged stunned glances, whispering in awe.

By the time he reached the chorus, the energy in the room had transformed. The audience, initially lighthearted and doubtful, was now on their feet. Cheers broke out before the song even ended.

Then came the final note—a perfect, lingering finish that left the room breathless.

Silence.

And then—thunderous applause.

Simon shook his head in disbelief, still processing what he had just witnessed. He leaned toward his mic, exhaling. “That… was unexpected.”

The contestant simply smiled.

The world had just witnessed something unforgettable.

Four boys singing in church? Its more hilarious than you think! But trust me, the real showstopper is the boy in the vest, His antics will have you laughing out loud! You wont believe what happens next, this moment is too good to miss

The church was quiet, the kind of peaceful calm that only a Sunday morning could bring. The congregation sat expectantly, waiting for the choir to begin. But today, something was different. Today, four young boys stood nervously at the front, ready to sing a song for the congregation. They were all dressed in their Sunday best, but the one in the vest? He was already up to something.

As the music started, the three other boys sang along in perfect harmony, focused and serious, their eyes trained on the sheet music in front of them. But the boy in the vest? He was a different story.

At first, it seemed like he was just a little distracted, maybe a little too excited to be on stage. But as the song continued, his antics became impossible to ignore. He was mouthing the words in a way that didn’t quite match the song, gesturing wildly with his arms, and then—oh no—he started to make faces at the audience.

The more he moved, the more the congregation tried to keep their composure. His little dance moves were far from choreographed, and his constant glances toward the crowd had some people struggling not to laugh out loud. But he didn’t stop. He was fully committed, giving it everything he had—his wide eyes, exaggerated gestures, and even a few missteps that sent him stumbling a bit.

The other boys kept singing, trying their best to ignore the chaos next to them, but it was hard not to notice the hilarity unfolding before them. The boy in the vest was practically a one-man show, stealing the spotlight with every move.

By the time the song ended, the church was still. The silence was almost deafening—until the first few giggles broke out. And then, the laughter spread like wildfire. People were trying to hold it in, but the combination of the boy’s earnest performance and the pure chaos of it all had everyone cracking up.

The boy in the vest stood there, beaming with pride, clearly unaware of the comedic genius he had just unleashed. The other boys? Not so much. They were trying to keep a straight face, but it was impossible. They couldn’t hold back their laughter either.

The moment became the talk of the service, with people whispering and laughing long after the performance ended. It was, without a doubt, the funniest thing anyone had seen in a long time. And the boy in the vest? He had no idea just how much joy he’d brought to everyone that day.

If you weren’t there to see it, you definitely missed out—but you can always check the first comment below to see just how epic it really was!

Greenland’s leader snaps and issues 3-word slapdown to Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s interest in making Greenland part of the U.S. is no secret, but the island’s leaders aren’t having it.

Greenland’s Prime Minister, Mute Egede, has had enough of the talk and recently delivered a three-word slapdown to U.S. President Trump.

The largest protest Greenland has ever seen
Over the weekend, major demonstrations took place across Greenland in response to Donald Trump’s comments about the U.S. potentially taking control of the island.

Thousands gathered in the capital, Nuuk, for what is being described as the largest protest Greenland has ever seen.

Considering Nuuk’s population of just 19,000 and Greenland’s total population of 57,000, a few thousand demonstrators represents a significant proportion of the population.

”I’m overwhelmed by the tremendous turnout for the demonstration. I’ve never seen so many people at a protest before,” said the organizer of the demonstration in Nuuk, Orla Joelsen, to the local newspaper Sermitsiaq.

”Enough is enough!” was the message, with citizens also chanting “Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders.”

The protests also spread to the second-largest city, Sisimiut, and they carried banners with slogans like “Yankee go home” and “We’re not for sale.”

”He hasn’t shown good behavior”
The criticism of Donald Trump in the protest march was harsh.

”He hasn’t shown good behavior. He only uses his media. After his visit, Donald Trump Jr. also said that Greenlanders love the U.S. We want to show that not all of us love the U.S. I hope that as a people, we can show our identity and unity without political affiliation,” one protester said.

The acting Prime Minister of Greenland, Múte B. Egede, who initiated the effort to bring together party leaders, issued a joint statement to Donald Trump on behalf of Greenland. In response to Trump’s previous claims, Egede said:

”Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale. We must not lose our long struggle for freedom.”

Greenland’s Prime Minister Múte B. Egede also participated in this weekend’s demonstrations.

”It gives us strength, and it’s moving to see so many people showing unity in the country. It is completely unacceptable for the leader of another country to try to pressure our land. Unity is our strength,” said Múte B. Egede.

Jens-Frederik Nielsen, leader of the liberal political party Demokraatit, which unexpectedly became the largest party in the past week’s parliamentary elections, also participated in the demonstration and stood alongside Múte B. Egede:

”It’s very moving, and I feel proud. As Múte said, witnessing this gives us tremendous strength. We may have many different opinions on many different issues, but on this one, we are all united and standing together,” said Jens-Frederik Nielsen.

This whole situation has definitely sparked a lot of debate, and it’s clear that the people of Greenland aren’t backing down anytime soon.

It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially with so many voices standing up for their sovereignty. What do you think — could this get any more heated?

Donald Trump hints at deploying U.S. troops to seize Greenland

Donald Trump has expressed a long-standing interest in Greenland, even suggesting that the U.S. might deploy troops to take control of the island, which belongs to Denmark. He emphasized that Greenland is important for U.S. national security and suggested that NATO could become involved.

While Trump has repeatedly sought to buy Greenland, Denmark’s Prime Minister has made it clear the island is not for sale. The U.S. already maintains a military presence on Greenland, but Trump hinted at sending more troops. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte distanced the alliance from Trump’s ambitions, avoiding involvement in the debate.

Greenland’s recent election, which saw the Demokraatit party win, made it clear that Greenlanders oppose American control and are pushing for independence from Denmark. Demokraatit’s leader, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, reaffirmed Greenland’s desire for autonomy, rejecting both American and Danish influence.

The situation raises important questions about sovereignty and global power dynamics. With Greenlanders pushing for independence, the future of the island remains uncertain.

Trump Orders Massive Strike Against Yemeni-Based Houthis, Issues Warning To Iran

President Donald Trump on Saturday ordered massive strikes against the Houthis in Yemen while also issuing a warning to their patrons in Iran.

The president announced the strike in a post on TruthSocial in which he explained the reasons for the attack and criticized his predecessor, former President Joe Biden’s response to the rebel attacks against American interests.

“Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones,” the president said.

“Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk,” he said.

“The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends,” Trump added.

“Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom. No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World,” he continued before issuing a stern warning.

“To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!” he warned.

“To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!” he said.

Trump has said he wants to reach a nuclear deal with Iran but has indicated that if an agreement cannot be reached there is the possibility of military action to stop its nuclear ambitions.

“U.S. officials said that airstrikes against the Houthis’ arsenal, much of which is buried deep underground, could last for several weeks, intensifying in scope and scale depending on the militants’ reaction. U.S. intelligence agencies have struggled in the past to identify and locate the Houthi weapons systems, which the rebels produce in subterranean factories and smuggle in from Iran,” The New York Times reported.

“Some national security aides want to pursue an even more aggressive campaign that could lead the Houthis to essentially lose control of large parts of the country’s north, U.S. officials said. But Mr. Trump has not yet authorized that strategy, wary of entangling the United States in a Middle East conflict he pledged to avoid during his campaign,” it added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been suggesting a joint United States-Israel operation to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities after an Israeli attack in October damaged its air defenses.

U.S. officials said the strikes were discussed during high-level meetings at the White House that involved the president, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM Commander, Gen. Michael E. Kurilla.

Trump Signs Order Dismantling Several More Federal Agencies

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday aimed at eliminating seven federal agencies, including those focusing on media, libraries, museums, and efforts to end homelessness.

The president directed the targeted entities “be eliminated to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law,” insisting they “reduce the performance of their statutory functions and associated personnel.” It required the heads of each entity to submit a report to the Office of Management and Budget confirming full compliance within seven days, The Hill reported.

The president targeted several organizations, including the U.S. Agency for Global Media—the parent organization of Voice of America (VOA)—the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars at the Smithsonian Institution, a prominent think tank, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, which provides support to libraries, archives, and museums nationwide.

He also dismantled multiple agencies: the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, which works to prevent and end homelessness; the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, focused on avoiding and resolving labor disputes; the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, aimed at expanding economic opportunities for underserved communities; and the Minority Business Development Agency, which promotes growth among minority-owned businesses, The Hill added.

Amid uncertainty over VOA’s future, Trump selected former Arizona gubernatorial and Senate candidate Kari Lake to lead the outlet. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month, the Trump ally declared that under her leadership, the international broadcaster would not become “Trump TV.”

Although the president doesn’t directly appoint the head of VOA, he nominated conservative L. Brent Bozell III to lead the U.S. Agency for Global Media, the body that oversees VOA. Bozell must be confirmed by the Senate before he can assume his role and then could select Kari Lake.

“The U.S. Agency for Global Media also oversees Radio Free Asia, which broadcasts and publishes for audiences in Asia and is seen as a way to combat Chinese propaganda in the region,” notes The Hill.

The Trump administration is undertaking a major overhaul of the federal government, with tech billionaire Elon Musk tasked with finding ways to reduce spending and cut jobs. However, this effort has encountered obstacles in the courts—federal judges in district courts in Maryland and Northern California issued orders on Thursday to halt the mass dismissals.

On Friday, the White House announced its intention to appeal the federal court rulings that mandated the Trump administration reinstate probationary government employees.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is probing over 50 universities for their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, which officials claim discriminate against white and Asian students.

The Department of Education announced the investigations on Friday, a month after the administration warned that universities must end their DEI programs or risk losing federal funding, the Daily Wire reported.

“Students must be assessed according to merit and accomplishment, not prejudged by the color of their skin,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said. “We will not yield on this commitment.”

Out of the 52 universities now under investigation, 45 of them are under federal scrutiny for their involvement with a group known as the PhD Project, which the Education Department described as “an organization that purports to provide doctoral students with insights into obtaining a Ph.D. and networking opportunities, but limits eligibility based on the race of participants.”

The investigations target a diverse array of universities nationwide, including Yale, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, New York University, Notre Dame, Boise State, Clemson, Cornell, Duke, and Georgetown.

The Education Department has announced that six out of the 52 institutions are currently under investigation for allegedly awarding “impermissible race-based scholarships.” Additionally, another university is suspected of having hosted a “program that segregates students based on race.”

The colleges involved in these investigations include the University of Alabama, the University of South Florida, and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Rubio Declares South African Ambassador ‘Persona Non Grata’ After Trump Insult

Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it clear late last week that the South African ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome.

On Friday, Rubio posted to social media platform X, calling Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool “a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates @POTUS.”

“We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA,” Rubio continued regarding Rasool as he linked to a Breitbart News article that reported disparaging comments the South African diplomat made about President Donald Trump.

The diplomat was expelled after he told those gathered for an event recent that Trump was leading a white supremacist movement around the world.

While addressing the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) in Johannesburg, Rasool sought to clarify Trump’s recent foreign policy positions, specifically his opposition to South Africa’s property expropriation legislation and its alliances with Iran, Hamas, and other nations.

“What Donald Trump is launching is an assault on incumbency, those who are in power, by mobilizing a supremacism against the incumbency, at home, and — I think I’ve illustrated — abroad as well,” Rasool said, per Breitbart.

“So in terms of that, the supremacist assault on incumbency, we see it in the domestic politics of the USA, the MAGA movement, the Make America Great Again movement, as a response not simply to a supremacist instinct, but to very clear data that shows great demographic shifts in the USA in which the voting electorate in the USA is projected to become 48% white,” he continued.

“And that the possibility of a majority of minorities is looming on the horizon. And so that needs to be factored in, so that we understand some of the things that we think are instinctive, nativist, racist things, I think that there’s data that, for example, would support that, that would go to this wall being built, the deportation movement, et cetera et cetera. So I think I’d mention that,” he added

“It’s no accident that Elon Musk has involved himself in UK politics, and elevated a Nigel Farage and the Reform movement, in much the same way that he was instructed that on his way to the Munich security summit, Vice President Vance addressed the Alternative für Deutschland [AfD] to strengthen them in their election campaign,” the banned South African diplomat droned on.

“And that, then, begins to say, what then was the role of Afrikaners in that whole makeup. And very clearly, it’s to project white victimhood as a dog whistle that there is a global protective movement that is beginning to envelop embattled white communities or apparently embattled white communities,” he said

“It may not be true, it may not make sense, but that is not the dog whistle that is being heard in a global, white base. So I think we need to understand all of that. Another discontinuity — it’s almost that they are pitting a supremacist insurgency against the incumbency,” Rasool added.

Rasool said that his nation could lead the pushback to Trump’s alleged white supremacism, since the country was “the historical antidote to supremacism.”

Rasool also has a public history of supporting Hamas. He has struggled to gain traction in Washington, DC, according to Semafor, which noted that he is being “frozen out” by key players.

Federal Judge OKs ICE Raids At Public Schools In Win For Trump

A federal judge has ruled against Denver Public Schools’ attempt to stop immigration officials from raiding school grounds, marking a victory for the Trump administration as it seeks to intensify deportation efforts.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Domenico, a Trump appointee, determined that the district failed to prove that the recent decline in student attendance was caused by the administration reversing a 2021 Biden-era policy that protected schools—and other sensitive locations like churches—from ICE raids.

Currently, more than 1.4 million individuals remain on ICE’s final order of removal docket, Fox News reported.

Denver Public Schools had filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, arguing that the policy reversal had “hindered its mission” by instilling fear in students, leading to lower attendance.

The school district had requested a preliminary injunction to stop federal arrests at sensitive locations—a request that was denied. Judge Domenico also refused to issue a nationwide injunction that would have required immigration officials to revert to the 2021 guidance, Fox added.

In addition to citing a drop in attendance, the district argued that it had to divert resources to address the fear among students and families following the lifting of longstanding protections. The school system claimed that revoking the policy forced schools to invest time and resources in educating students and staff on staying safe during immigration enforcement encounters. For instance, staff have been trained to refuse entry to ICE officers unless they possess a warrant signed by a judge.

But Domenico, a former solicitor general for Colorado, noted that it was unclear how much of the fear was directly caused by the new rules versus broader concerns about heightened immigration enforcement actions.

He also noted that Denver Public Schools had not yet experienced any raids and that the head of ICE had issued a directive requiring supervisors’ approval for immigration arrests at sensitive locations.

Domenico commented that both the alarm over the new rules and the belief that the old rules provided school protection appear to be “overstated.”

“The lawsuit was brought by the school district, not the city of Denver, which is a sanctuary city. The lawsuit stated that there were more than 90,000 students in the Denver Public Schools system during the 2023-2024 school year, and approximately 4,000 were immigrants,” Fox added.

Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced on Friday that some of the people allegedly responsible for leaking information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids have been caught.

“We have identified two leakers of information here at the Department of Homeland Security who have been telling individuals about our operations and putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,” she said in a post on X on Friday. “We plan to prosecute these two individuals and hold them accountable for what they’ve done.”

“We’re going to continue to do all that we can to keep America safe,” she added.

Noem did not identify the individuals who were discovered.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for DHS, told Fox News that the two people will face charges.

“We are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the DOJ for felony prosecutions,” the spokesperson said. “These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison. We will find and root out all leakers. They will face prison time, and we will get justice for the American people.”

Fetterman Rips Fellow Dems For ‘Unhinged Petulance’ During Trump Speech

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., criticized his party the day after President Donald Trump’s address before a joint session of Congress, cautioning that Democrats risk becoming like a blaring car alarm that people tend to ignore.

‘A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained. We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to—and it may not be the winning message,” the senator wrote in a post on X.

Several Democratic lawmakers held signs up during Trump’s speech with messages including “FALSE,” “SAVE MEDICAID,” “PROTECT VETERANS” and “MUSK STEALS.” Shortly after Trump began speaking, Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) stood up and began shouting that the president didn’t have a “mandate” from voters, and was removed from the chamber on House Speaker Mike Johnson’s order.

Other Democrats chose not to attend the speech at all, while others walked out while Trump was speaking.

“The Democrats should lose the Midterms based on their behavior at last night’s Joint Address to Congress,” Trump declared in a Wednesday post on Truth Social.

Trump declared that “Republicans should utilize the footage provided on the total disrespect they showed to all of those that were honored that night, including young ladies who were killed by illegal migrants, people with terminal cancer, etc. They didn’t even have the common courtesy to stand, smile, or applaud. This could be, on analyzing the full tape of this Historic Event, your full CAMPAIGN TO VICTORY! In other words, Republicans can take what happened last night, and win any Race in the Country.”

Fetterman on Wednesday agreed with Trump’s strong warning toward the terror group Hamas.

“You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you,” Trump declared on Truth Social. “I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”

“This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”

Fetterman, a big supporter of Israel, announced on social media that he agreed with Trump.

“Free all the hostages or start killing Hamas members again. I fully agree with @POTUS,” the senator tweeted.

House lawmakers voted to censure Green following his removal last week after his outburst at Trump.

The measure passed with ten Democrats joining Republicans in support. Green himself voted “present,” as did first-term Rep. Shomari Figures (D-AL), Fox News reported on Thursday.

“Al Green’s childish outburst exposed the chaos and dysfunction within the Democrat party since President Trump’s overwhelming win in November and his success in office thus far. It is not surprising 198 Democrats refused to support Green’s censure given their history of radical, inflammatory rhetoric fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., told Fox News Digital.

The outlet noted that the 10 Democrats who voted to censure Green are Reps. Ami Bera, D-Calif.; Ed Case, D-Hawaii; Jim Costa, D-Calif.; Laura Gillen, D-N.Y.; Jim Himes, D-Conn.; Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa.; Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio; Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla.; Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Wash.; and Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y.

Republicans moved swiftly on Wednesday to introduce competing resolutions to censure Green with three separate proposals being drafted within hours of each other.

Obama Makes Statement After Kamala’s Blowout Election Loss

Former President Barack Obama released a statement after Vice President Kamala Harris’ blowout election loss to former President Donald Trump.

In a statement posted to social media, Obama partially admitted to a few reasons that were responsible for Harris’s defeat.

“As I said on the campaign trail, America has been through a lot over the last few years — from a historic pandemic and price hikes resulting from the pandemic, to rapid change and the feeling a lot of folks have that, no matter how hard they work, treading water is the best they can do,” Obama said.

“Those conditions have created headwinds for democratic incumbents around the world, and last night showed that America is not immune. The good news is that these problems are solvable — but only if we listen to each other, and only if we abide by the core constitutional principles and democratic norms that made this country great,” Obama added.

During October, Obama toured the country to support Harris’s campaign. His wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, also spoke at a few events.

Obama also congratulated Trump and Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) on winning the race.

Harris called Trump on Wednesday to concede in the presidential race.

Now, Trump’s team has revealed some of what was discussed on the call between the two leaders.

Harris called Trump to congratulate him, per a senior Harris aide. Her campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon, told campaign staff that Harris told Trump she would make sure there was a peaceful handover of power from Biden’s government to Trump’s.

“You left everything on the field. You built a first-rate, historic presidential campaign in basically 90 days. You navigated things that no one has ever had to navigate, and likely no one will ever have to again. Losing is unfathomably painful. It is hard. This will take a long time to process. But the work of protecting America from the impacts of a Trump presidency starts now,” O’Malley Dillon wrote to the staff.

Trump’s campaign communications director, Steven Cheung, said Trump “acknowledged Vice President Harris on her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign, and both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country.”

Several world leaders contacted President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday to congratulate him on his history-making comeback and victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback!” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote on the X platform.

“Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory!” he added with a photo of himself, wife Sara, and Trump.

In Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had his own contentious involvement in the U.S. election campaign, expressed a tone of hopeful unity regarding Trump’s potential assistance in addressing the Russian invasion of his country.

“I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine,” he wrote in a lengthy X post.

“I appreciate President Trump’s commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together,” he added. “We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership. We rely on continued strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States.

“We are interested in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations. Ukraine, as one of Europe’s strongest military powers, is committed to ensuring long-term peace and security in Europe and the Transatlantic community with the support of our allies,” Zelenskyy wrote, adding he was looking forward to seeing Trump in person again.

Obama’s 2011 Push to Eliminate Waste: Reflecting on His Vision for Fiscal Reform

From “Fiddlin’ Foresters” to Fiscal Frontlines: Revisiting Obama’s 2011 Call for Efficiency in Today’s Debate on Government Spending

In the midst of today’s heated debates over government spending and fiscal responsibility, a nearly 14‑year‑old video has reemerged as a surprising touchstone for those demanding change. In the video, then‑President Barack Obama, speaking in 2011 during one of America’s most economically turbulent times, delivered a bold message: if the nation is to reduce its ballooning federal deficit, it must slash wasteful spending—even if that means cutting programs beloved by many. Today, as figures like President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and congressional Republicans call for aggressive reforms to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in federal programs such as Medicare, the resurfacing of Obama’s message serves as a poignant reminder that the call for efficiency is not a new phenomenon.

This article explores the context and substance of Obama’s 2011 speech, compares it with modern proposals for federal spending reforms, and analyzes the broader political, economic, and ideological implications of the enduring debate over fiscal responsibility.

I. Revisiting 2011: A Time of Economic Uncertainty

A. Context and Economic Challenges

In 2011, the United States was still reeling from the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. The federal deficit had swelled, and public concern over wasteful government spending reached fever pitch. During this period, every taxpayer dollar was scrutinized. Economic recovery depended not only on stimulating growth but also on restoring confidence in government fiscal management.

Against this backdrop, President Obama’s speech emerged as both a wake‑up call and a roadmap for necessary, though painful, reforms. He argued that if America was to repair its fiscal house, the government had to eliminate “pointless waste and stupid spending”—even if such cuts affected programs that many Americans cherished. His message resonated with a public eager to see accountability in how their money was spent.

B. The Message on Waste and Spending Cuts

In his address, Obama was unapologetically direct. He declared that reducing the deficit would require making hard decisions—including cutting billions from programs that, despite their popularity, contributed little to the nation’s long‑term prosperity. “Everyone knows that getting rid of the deficit will require some tough decisions,” he stated, adding that even beloved initiatives might need reining in to restore fiscal balance.

One of the most memorable moments from the speech was his humorous reference to the “Fiddlin’ Foresters”—a website for a folk music ensemble of forest rangers. “I’ll put their music on my iPod, but I’m not paying for their websites,” Obama joked. This offhand remark not only lightened the gravity of the subject but also underscored his point: government should operate like a household, living within its means and cutting out any superfluous expenses.

C. Vice President Biden’s Call to Action

Complementing his fiscal critique, Obama introduced then‑Vice President Joe Biden as the man tasked with “hunting down misspent tax dollars in every agency and department of this government.” This vivid image of a relentless pursuit of waste reinforced Obama’s commitment to accountability. It was a promise that reform was not merely aspirational but would be rigorously pursued through direct action and oversight.

II. The Legacy of Obama’s Call for Efficiency

A. Bipartisan Roots of Fiscal Responsibility

Although President Obama’s message was delivered from a distinctly Democratic perspective, the underlying call for efficiency in government spending transcended partisan boundaries. Throughout the years, both Democrats and Republicans have acknowledged that unchecked waste not only burdens the national deficit but also compromises the effective delivery of essential services. In 2011, even as debates raged over entitlement reform and budget priorities, the idea that the government should not squander taxpayers’ money found broad, if cautious, agreement.

B. A Framework for Future Reforms

Obama’s vision in 2011 laid a conceptual framework that continues to influence fiscal policy debates today. The principle is simple yet powerful: just as families must budget wisely and cut unnecessary expenses, so too must the government. His call to eliminate wasteful spending was not about depriving Americans of valuable services; it was about ensuring that every dollar contributed to tangible benefits and long‑term national prosperity.

Fast forward to the present, and leaders like President Trump and figures such as Elon Musk have adopted similar language. They argue that the federal government—particularly programs like Medicare—suffers from bloated, inefficient spending that must be reined in. In many ways, the current proposals echo the sentiments of 2011, though they are framed within today’s polarized political environment.

C. The Irony of Evolving Political Rhetoric

One of the most striking ironies is that while fiscal responsibility once had a bipartisan appeal, today it is frequently weaponized as a partisan tool. Conservatives invoke the same reformist language that Obama once used to call for waste-cutting, while many modern Democrats now view similar proposals as veiled attempts to dismantle critical social safety nets. This shift in interpretation underscores the evolving nature of political rhetoric and the challenges inherent in reconciling historical policy ideas with contemporary ideological battles.

III. Comparing Past and Present: The Debate Over Federal Spending

A. Then: Obama’s 2011 Vision

In 2011, President Obama’s approach was characterized by a sense of urgency born out of economic crisis. His focus was on reducing the deficit by eliminating redundant or ineffective programs. His message was a call for both personal accountability (for government spending) and institutional reform—a blueprint for restoring fiscal discipline that resonated during a time when the nation was desperate for recovery.

Obama’s speech was delivered in a spirit of measured pragmatism combined with a touch of humor. By highlighting examples such as the “Fiddlin’ Foresters,” he connected with the public on a personal level, making the abstract issue of federal waste tangible and relatable.

B. Now: Modern Proposals for Cutting Waste

Today, figures such as President Trump and Elon Musk champion even more aggressive reforms. Their proposals call for deep cuts in spending and a reconfiguration of federal programs to eliminate what they consider to be inefficiencies. The rhetoric is sharp, and the focus is often on dismantling longstanding programs like Medicare, which they argue have become unsustainable due to bureaucratic bloat.

However, this modern approach is met with significant opposition. Many Democrats and social advocates contend that such drastic cuts could undermine critical services for millions of Americans. The debate now is less about whether waste exists and more about how to define “waste” and how far reform should go without sacrificing the safety net that protects vulnerable populations.

C. Ideological Battles and the Role of Partisan Politics

The contrasting interpretations of fiscal responsibility highlight a deep ideological divide. On one side, conservatives argue for a leaner, more efficient government where every dollar is scrutinized. On the other, many Democrats stress that cutting waste should not come at the expense of programs that deliver essential services. The same language—“cutting waste”—is used to support radically different policy proposals, illustrating how ideas can be repackaged and repurposed depending on the political agenda.

IV. The Broader Implications for Federal Spending Reforms

A. The Economic Rationale Behind Efficiency

At its core, the call to eliminate wasteful spending is driven by sound economic principles. Reducing unnecessary expenditures can free up resources for investments in areas that yield real, measurable benefits—be it in healthcare, education, or infrastructure. From an economic standpoint, operating within one’s means is not only a matter of prudence but also of ensuring long‑term prosperity.

By cutting waste, the government can reduce its deficit, lower the cost of borrowing, and potentially invest in programs that stimulate economic growth. This argument, which was central to Obama’s 2011 speech, remains relevant today, even as the political context has shifted.

B. The Politics of Accountability and Transparency

The modern debate over fiscal responsibility is as much about political accountability as it is about economics. Voters are increasingly demanding that government agencies operate transparently and that every dollar spent is justified. The idea that public institutions should be run like well‑managed households has a timeless appeal—one that resonates with a significant portion of the electorate.

Yet, as political rhetoric has evolved, so too has the challenge of implementing reforms in a highly polarized environment. The irony is stark: while past calls for efficiency were largely seen as common‑sense measures, today they are often dismissed by Democrats as attempts to dismantle crucial public services. This partisan divide complicates efforts to build a consensus on reform and underscores the need for new approaches that bridge ideological gaps.

C. The Role of Technology and Data in Modern Governance

One of the significant differences between 2011 and today is the role of technology. In the years since Obama’s speech, advances in data analytics, digital auditing, and information technology have revolutionized how governments can track spending and identify inefficiencies. Proponents of modern reforms—such as Elon Musk—emphasize that technology enables a far more granular and effective approach to eliminating waste.

This infusion of technology promises to make government spending more transparent and accountable. However, it also raises new challenges, including concerns about data privacy and the potential for misinterpretation of data. As policymakers embrace these tools, they must balance the benefits of increased efficiency with the need to protect individual rights and ensure that reform measures are implemented equitably.

V. The Cultural and Political Legacy of Fiscal Reform Rhetoric

A. Resurfacing Historical Footage as a Political Tool

In recent months, conservative voices have been sharing the 2011 video of President Obama’s call for cutting wasteful spending. For these commentators, the video serves as a powerful reminder that the principle of fiscal responsibility has long been part of the American political lexicon. They argue that if Democrats had fully embraced such reforms in the past, the need for today’s radical proposals might have been diminished.

This repackaging of historical rhetoric illustrates how political narratives can be repurposed over time. What was once a bipartisan call for efficiency is now presented as a vindication of modern conservative proposals—despite the fact that the economic rationale remains consistent. The historical footage not only evokes nostalgia for a time when fiscal reform was less divisive but also challenges current political leaders to reexamine their priorities.

B. The Evolution of Political Messaging

Political messaging has evolved dramatically over the past decade. In 2011, President Obama’s measured tone and subtle humor helped to frame a complex economic issue in relatable terms. Today’s political climate, characterized by sharp, often polarizing rhetoric, has transformed the way such messages are received. While modern proposals to cut waste echo Obama’s sentiments, they are often delivered with a more aggressive tone that reflects the heightened partisan environment.

This evolution in messaging highlights the difficulty of maintaining consistency in policy discourse. Ideas that once garnered widespread support are now contested fiercely along party lines, and the challenge for leaders is to reconcile these competing narratives in a way that advances the public interest without alienating significant segments of the electorate.

VI. Policy Proposals for a More Efficient Federal Spending System

A. Building on Past Reforms

The economic rationale for cutting waste is timeless. The challenge today is to design reforms that eliminate unnecessary expenditures without harming essential services. Policymakers could build on the bipartisan foundations of earlier efforts by implementing measures such as:

    • Streamlined Budgeting Processes: Implementing digital tools for real‑time budget tracking and spending analysis can help identify inefficiencies quickly.
    • Independent Oversight: Establishing independent review boards that regularly audit federal programs can ensure accountability and transparency.
    • Data‑Driven Decision‑Making: Leveraging advanced analytics to determine which programs are truly effective versus those that are redundant or wasteful.
  • Targeted Cuts: Rather than broad cuts that impact all services, reforms could focus on eliminating specific areas of waste while preserving critical social safety nets.

B. The Promise of Technology in Reform

As mentioned, technology plays an increasingly vital role in modern governance. By harnessing digital tools and data analytics, federal agencies can transform how they manage budgets and track expenditures. Initiatives like the work of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) exemplify how innovation can lead to significant savings and improved outcomes.

The integration of technology in government spending reforms could lead to a future where every dollar is monitored in real time, and inefficiencies are identified before they balloon into systemic problems. This approach not only improves fiscal discipline but also restores public trust in government operations by demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability.

C. Challenges and Trade-offs

No reform proposal is without challenges. While aggressive cuts and enhanced oversight can lead to substantial savings, they also run the risk of unintended consequences. For instance, overly stringent measures might impair the government’s ability to respond to emergencies or provide essential services. Policymakers must therefore strike a delicate balance—ensuring fiscal discipline while preserving the capacity to meet the nation’s needs.

The debate over what constitutes “waste” is inherently complex. Some expenditures, while seemingly superfluous, might serve important functions that are not immediately apparent. The challenge for reformers is to differentiate between genuine waste and investments that yield long‑term benefits. This requires careful analysis, robust debate, and a willingness to adapt policies as new data emerges.

VII. Bridging the Past and Present: A Call for Bipartisan Reform

A. Learning from History

The resurfaced 2011 video of President Obama’s call to eliminate wasteful spending is a powerful reminder that the quest for fiscal responsibility is not new. It offers a historical benchmark for today’s debates, showing that while the political context may shift, the fundamental principles of accountability and efficiency remain constant. By revisiting this footage, policymakers and citizens alike are reminded that fiscal reform has long been a part of the American political tradition.

B. Moving Beyond Partisan Rhetoric

One of the greatest challenges in today’s environment is overcoming deep partisan divisions. The same ideas—such as the need to cut waste—can be interpreted in radically different ways depending on one’s political perspective. To achieve meaningful reform, leaders must look beyond partisan rhetoric and focus on the shared goal of ensuring that every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely.

Bipartisan cooperation is essential for creating a sustainable fiscal policy framework. Drawing on the lessons of the past, lawmakers should work together to craft reforms that are both bold and balanced—reforms that address waste without undermining the services that Americans depend on. Only by fostering an atmosphere of trust and collaboration can the nation move forward with effective, long‑term fiscal reforms.

VIII. The Road Ahead: Prospects for Federal Spending Reform

A. A Vision for a More Efficient Government

As debates over government spending continue to intensify, the vision of a more efficient, transparent, and accountable federal system remains a compelling goal. Whether inspired by the bipartisan efforts of the early 2010s or by today’s calls from figures like Trump and Musk, the ultimate objective is to build a government that operates within its means—much like a well‑managed household.

By embracing modern technology, data‑driven decision‑making, and robust oversight, future reforms can not only eliminate waste but also reallocate resources to critical areas such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The economic benefits of such reforms are clear: reduced deficits, lower borrowing costs, and a more competitive, resilient economy.

B. The Imperative of Bipartisanship

Looking back at the early 2010s, one of the most promising aspects of the fiscal reform debate was its bipartisan nature. Although today’s political climate is far more polarized, there remains an opportunity for leaders on both sides of the aisle to rediscover common ground. The principles of fiscal responsibility and government accountability benefit everyone, regardless of party affiliation.

Moving forward, the success of federal spending reforms will depend on the ability of lawmakers to transcend partisan lines and to focus on policies that deliver tangible benefits to the American people. This means fostering dialogue, sharing best practices, and crafting legislation that is rooted in evidence and guided by a shared commitment to the public good.

C. Challenges in Implementation

Implementing sweeping reforms in a polarized environment is never easy. Even as the case for cutting waste is clear, the reality of translating that vision into effective policy is complex. Policymakers must contend with entrenched bureaucracies, the inertia of established spending patterns, and the political risks associated with cutting programs that many citizens hold dear.

Overcoming these challenges will require not only bold ideas but also meticulous planning and execution. It will be essential to pilot new approaches, gather data on their effectiveness, and remain open to adjusting strategies as circumstances change. The road to a more efficient government is a marathon, not a sprint—and it demands perseverance, innovation, and the willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks.

IX. Reflections on the Enduring Call for Efficiency

A. A Timeless Message

The resurgence of President Obama’s 2011 message is a testament to the enduring relevance of fiscal responsibility. In an era marked by rapid technological change, political polarization, and unprecedented economic challenges, the call to eliminate waste remains as urgent as ever. The idea that government should operate efficiently is not a new one—but it is one that must be continually reexamined in light of modern realities.

B. Cultural and Political Resonance

For many Americans, the notion of cutting waste in government spending strikes a deep chord. It resonates with a fundamental belief in accountability and the prudent use of public funds. The debate over federal efficiency is as much cultural as it is economic, reflecting broader questions about the role of government, the responsibilities of public officials, and the values that underpin our society.

The historical context provided by Obama’s speech offers a unique perspective on today’s challenges. It reminds us that while political rhetoric may evolve, the basic principles of fiscal discipline remain constant. This continuity provides a valuable foundation for building reforms that are both innovative and grounded in a tradition of responsible governance.

C. A Call to Action for the Future

Ultimately, the discussion over government spending and fiscal responsibility is not merely an academic exercise—it has real, tangible implications for the everyday lives of millions of Americans. As debates continue over how best to manage the national budget, the imperative to cut waste is a call to action for all of us. It is a reminder that every dollar saved is a dollar that can be reinvested in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and other critical services.

Policymakers, business leaders, and citizens alike must embrace this challenge with a spirit of collaboration and a commitment to transparency. By working together to develop and implement effective reforms, we can create a government that is not only more efficient but also more responsive to the needs of its people—a government that lives up to the promise of accountability and fiscal responsibility.

X. Conclusion: Bridging Past Lessons and Future Visions

The resurfaced 2011 video of President Barack Obama’s call for eliminating wasteful government spending serves as a potent reminder that the pursuit of fiscal efficiency is a timeless challenge. In that era, as in today’s contentious political climate, the message was clear: every dollar counts, and government must be held accountable for how it spends taxpayer money.

Fast forward to today, where the voices of President Trump, Elon Musk, and congressional Republicans echo similar sentiments against a backdrop of deep partisan divides, the irony is unmistakable. Ideas once embraced across the political spectrum are now being repurposed to serve entirely different agendas, highlighting how interpretation and context can transform policy debates.

This analysis has explored the economic rationale behind cutting waste, the evolution of political messaging from 2011 to the present, and the broader implications for federal spending reforms. The challenge remains: how do we build a government that is both efficient and equitable? The answer lies in embracing modern technology and data‑driven oversight while rediscovering the bipartisan spirit of accountability that once united disparate factions in the pursuit of fiscal reform.

As we look to the future, the lessons of 2011 should serve not as a relic of the past, but as a guiding light for innovative, responsible governance. By bridging the gap between historical wisdom and modern challenges, policymakers have the opportunity to craft reforms that truly serve the public good—a future where every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely and transparently.

The call to cut waste is as urgent today as it was over a decade ago. It demands that we hold our leaders accountable, embrace innovation without sacrificing proven practices, and work together across partisan lines to create a government that lives up to the ideals of efficiency, transparency, and service.

Student president breaks silence to reveal truth about shock Barron Trump claim… and it confirms what we suspected

The recent resignation of the former president of New York University’s College Republicans chapter has sparked a lot of discussion. The president, Kaya Walker, stepped down following some comments she made about Barron Trump, the youngest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Last year, Barron chose NYU’s Stern School of Business, which is celebrated as one of the premier business schools in America. Due to his father’s high-profile status, Barron’s presence at the school has inevitably drawn attention, though specific details about his life on campus have remained relatively private. Naturally, he is under the watchful eye of Secret Service agents, but beyond that, not much is known about how he’s adapting to this new stage in his life.

Kaya Walker, as president of NYU College Republicans, captured a fair bit of attention herself after commenting on Barron in an interview with Vanity Fair. Her remarks were perceived by some as critical, which led to her having to resign from her position.

Kaya had described Barron Trump as “sort of like an oddity on campus,” adding, “He goes to class, he goes home.” These statements were met with substantial online backlash, especially from the College Republicans of America (CRA), who felt her remarks didn’t align with their ‘values and principles.’

As media interest in the story grew, Kaya stepped down from her role as president on February 16. After a few days, she spoke to the New York Post to address the situation.

“I’ve been working really hard to support the conservative movement,” Kaya explained. “Being a Republican at NYU is challenging, but I’ve given everything to build our chapter. Membership has grown significantly, and we’ve had a fantastic time this past year.”

Barron has stayed largely out of the limelight over the years, only stepping into it recently as he supported his father during the recent presidential victory celebrations. The 18-year-old has been of great interest to people around the world, primarily because of his striking height and newfound public persona as he transitions into adulthood.

Rumors about Barron’s campus life indicate that he has adjusted well socially. A source from People Magazine conveyed that Barron has been “popular with the ladies” since starting at Stern, stating, “He’s studying business in some form. He’s definitely a ladies’ man and quite popular. With his height and good looks, many, even those with differing political views, find him quite appealing.”

Despite the controversies surrounding Kaya Walker and her comments, the focus remains on the implications for student dynamics and the broader discourse within the conservative movement on campus.

Tragic: Fox News Contributor Dies Following Hidden Battle With Cancer

Dr. Kelly Powers, a Fox News contributor known for her appearances on Red Eye and Fox Business, fought valiantly against a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer but succumbed to the illness on Sunday. She was 45 years old, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

In 2020, Powers, a surgeon, received a diagnosis of glioblastoma, a devastating and frequently fatal form of brain cancer.

Powers passed away in New Jersey, according to an online obituary from Holmdel Funeral Home. The funeral home has scheduled a visitation for Thursday. In recent years, Powers resided in Colts Neck with her family, the New York Daily News reported.

“She was a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends anywhere she went,” the obituary reads. “Kelly had a love for people and she was dedicated to helping others. … Kelly was an accomplished doctor and surgeon who held several spotlights on TV and in magazines. Most important to her was her family.”

“She was a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends anywhere she went. Kelly had a love for people and she was dedicated to helping others,” the obituary read.

Born on May 13, 1979, in Yonkers, Dr. Kelly Powers pursued her education at Baruch College in New York City before attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She went on to earn a master’s degree in science from the University of San Francisco and completed residency programs at Georgetown University and Boston University, the Daily News added.

Dr. Kelly Powers became a prominent medical expert, frequently appearing on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, NBC, and CBS to share her insights.

In 2020, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. Although she initially appeared to win her battle after successfully undergoing surgery to remove a tumor, the cancer returned earlier this year, according to her friend and Fox media colleague Cheryl Casone.

Powers is survived by her husband, Steven Doll, and their young son, Bennett.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Tower Hill Church in Red Bank, N.J., the Daily News noted.

After years of helping patients, Powers became a patient herself while hosting a Fox News segment about heart health when she began to experience shortness of breath and chest pains, the New York Post reported.

“It’s crazy. I went into heart failure while doing a report on Fox Business — live — on heart health and talking about the subtle signs that women often miss. You can’t make this up,” she told Preferred Health Magazine in an interview after her first diagnosis.

She fought through her illness, only to later learn she had aggressive brain cancer known as glioblastoma, The Post noted.

Despite undergoing three surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, Dr. Kelly Powers managed to overcome the cancer while also experiencing the joy of becoming pregnant and giving birth to her son, Bennett, according to a GoFundMe page.

She humorously referred to herself as “the luckiest unlucky girl” for prevailing over her illness and often joked that her treatment left her and baby Bennett sharing the same haircut during his infancy, the page noted.

“When her cancer returned in 2024, friends raised nearly $100,000 to help pay for an experimental treatment that insurance wouldn’t cover,” The Post said.

Ashley Biden’s Nonprofit Referred To IRS Over $250,000 Donation From Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

Former President Joe Biden has another child in a jam with the IRS, according to a bombshell report on Friday.

Daughter Ashley Biden’s nonprofit organization has been referred to the IRS by a federal watchdog for failing to disclose a $250,000 donation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Daily Mail reported exclusively.

Her organization, the Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), received the donation while her dad was still president in 2023.

The group describes itself as a “trauma-informed wellness center,” but the National Legal and Policy Center said that her group was in “clear violation” of the reporting rules.

“Ms. Biden failed to report the receipt of a grant of $250,000 made in 2023 by the Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In addition, there are other reporting violations by Ms. Biden, including failing to identify all of the Board of Directors of her nonprofit,” the complaint read.

“This large contribution raised eyebrows because of the political implications of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempt to ingratiate themselves with President Biden and his family.6 But more importantly, the $250,000 cash grant made in 2023 was not reported on Ashley Biden’s group’s 2023 Form 990, which only reported receiving a total of $170,296 that year. A full audit of Ashley Biden’s group is warranted to determine where the $250,000 cash grant was deposited and its disposition,” it added.

“NLPC notes that Ms. Biden reports that she works 40 hours a week on average for the group but got paid only $11,250 during the reporting period from July 18, 2023, to December 31, 2023, which is 22 weeks. Thus, her compensation was approximately $511 per week. Since she allegedly works 40 hours a week, her gross pay was approximately $12.75 per hour. While Ms. Biden’s pay is low for her educational and work experience in her field, NLPC believes that her reported 40-hour workweek may be exaggerated since during the latter half of 2023, she was engaged in politically related and other activities, including foreign travel with her mother,” the complaint noted further.

“The IRS must conduct a full investigation and audit of Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), including deposing Ashley Biden, to find out what happened to the $250,000 given to Ms. Biden’s group from the Archewell Foundation and to assess appropriate civil and criminal penalties because Ms. Biden submitted and signed the Form 990 under penalty of perjury,” it said.

Ashley Biden has been in the news before within the past couple of years, most notably in regards to a diary that was stolen from her.

In April 2024, a Florida woman was sentenced to one month in prison for stealing and selling the diary of the president’s daughter to a conservative group.

As reported by Fox News, Aimee Harris was sentenced in a Manhattan federal courtroom, where the judge also sentenced her to three months of home confinement.

“I do not believe I am above the law,” Harris told the judge following a prosecutor’s request that she be sentenced to prison time after failing to appear for a number of sentencing dates after claiming she was busy caring for her two kids, ages 8 and 6.

“I’m a survivor of long-term domestic abuse and sexual trauma,” Harris said.

Harris pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in August 2022, admitting that she received $20,000 of the $40,000 Project Veritas paid for personal items belonging to the president’s daughter, Ashley Biden.

Project Veritas is known for conducting secret recordings that have caused embarrassment for news organizations, labor unions, and Democratic politicians.

During the court proceedings, a tearful Harris expressed remorse and offered an apology for publishing Ashley Biden’s personal writings without her consent. Harris admitted to taking the journal from a home in Delray Beach, Florida, where Biden had temporarily stored her belongings in 2020.

Along with the diary, Harris took a digital storage card, books, clothing, luggage, and “everything she could get her hands on,” hoping she “could make as much money as she could,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Sobelman told the court.

“She wanted to damage Ms. Biden’s father,” he said.

U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain, a Clinton appointee, scolded Harris, calling her actions “despicable and serious” and accusing her of exploiting the president’s daughter for profit in a bid to affect the 2020 presidential election.

Biden Admin Turned Over Trump, Pence Cellphones To FBI As Part Of ‘Gotcha’ Probe

The Biden White House handed over government cellphones belonging to then-former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence to the FBI in May 2022 as part of a probe into the aftermath of the 2020 election, linking Trump to the investigation without sufficient justification.

According to Fox News Digital, which first reported the finding, the FBI did not require a warrant to seize the phones from the Biden White House. However, after obtaining the devices, agents began drafting a search warrant to access their data, sources familiar with the investigation told the outlet.

“The Biden White House played right along with the FBI’s ‘gotcha’ scheme against Trump,” a source familiar with the investigation told the outlet. “Biden’s Office of White House Counsel, under the leadership of Dana Remus and Jonathan Su, gave its blessing and accommodation for the FBI to physically obtain Trump and Pence’s phones in early May 2022. Weeks later, the FBI began drafting a search warrant to extract the phones’ data.”

The phones were seized and entered into evidence as part of the FBI’s initial investigation into the 2020 election, which eventually was taken over by special counsel Jack Smith. Internally known as “Arctic Frost,” the case was opened on April 13, 2022, by former FBI agent Timothy Thibault, who was known for his anti-Trump stance.

According to whistleblowers, Thibault violated protocol by playing a pivotal role in launching and advancing the bureau’s investigation related to the 2020 election, thereby linking Trump to the probe without sufficient basis, Fox reported. He overstepped his authority by initiating the investigation and involving Trump—actions reserved exclusively for special agents authorized to open criminal investigations.

Thibault pledged to make the investigation “prioritized over all others in the Branch” and commented at the time that “it frankly took too long for us to open this (investigation),” according to documents reviewed by Fox News.

By late April 2022, the FBI had started scheduling over a dozen interviews for the investigation, coordinating with 13 field offices nationwide, Fox News learned.

The details come from legally protected whistleblower disclosures submitted to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Senate Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis), which Fox News reviewed. Grassley and Johnson submitted the whistleblower disclosures and records to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel late Thursday, the outlet reported.

“The new records we are making public point to an aggressive investigation run by anti-Trump agents and prosecutors intent on using every resource available to pursue Trump and his supporters,” Grassley and Johnson wrote.

The first record tied to the Trump and Pence phones was dated April 25, 2022. It said: “DOJ and FBI were informed that government-issued cellphones that purportedly previously belonged to former Vice President Mike Pence and former President Donald J. Trump were in the possession of individuals at the White House. DOJ is currently conducting analysis regarding the FBI taking possession of and processing the phones.”

Records indicate that on May 4, 2022, FBI agents seized the two phones belonging to Trump and Pence, entered them into evidence, and held off processing until search warrants were secured. On the same day, agents also interviewed Deputy White House Counsel Jonathan Su.

Subsequently, on May 9, 2022, a follow-up letter requesting additional information about the phones was sent from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., to White House Counsel Dana Remus, Fox noted, adding that it wasn’t clear if then-President Biden was aware of the situation or had ordered the phones turned over.

Agents also aimed to interview former Trump administration officials, including staff from the offices of the President and Vice President, the Department of Justice, and then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe—who now serves as the CIA director in the second Trump administration.

“Sunshine is the best disinfectant,” Grassley and Johnson wrote to Bondi and Patel Thursday, according to Fox. “The American people deserve to know the complete extent of the corruption within the DOJ and FBI that led to the investigation into President Trump.”

Pelosi Furious After Schumer Allowed Senate To Pass Spending Bill

Former Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has joined the chorus of Democrats criticizing Senate Minority Leader and New York Sen. Charles Schumer for allowing the government to be funded by a Republican crafted continuing resolution.

Pelosi, a California Democrat, did not mention her Senate counterpart by name, but she shredded the legislation and those who supported it in a post on X.

Trump’s First Jobs Report Is Great News For Administration

A new jobs report is fantastic news for President Donald Trump as it shows manufacturing jobs are coming back and native-born workers are benefitting the most.

“Today’s jobs report shows American manufacturing is on the rebound thanks to President Donald J. Trump and his administration,” the White House said in a press release.

“The country gained 10,000 manufacturing jobs in President Trump’s first full month in office — a swift turnaround after losing an average of 9,000 manufacturing jobs per month, or 111,000 total, in the final year of the Biden Administration,” the press release added.

“The rebound in manufacturing jobs was led by the automobile sector, which gained 8,900 new jobs in February — after losing 27,300 auto jobs in Biden’s final year — showing that firms are reshoring production and positively responding to President Trump’s trade policies,” it said.

“The manufacturing turnaround has been confirmed by S&P Global’s own U.S. manufacturing survey, which surged last month to its highest level since June 2022, and the Manufacturing ISM Report On Business, which returned to expansion territory after 26 consecutive months of contraction,” the release noted further.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt touted the new jobs report as a victory for the Trump administration.

“In one month under President Trump, the American economy is soaring back to greatness after the economic calamity left by Joe Biden. The manufacturing industry is already rebounding as there were 9,000 new auto jobs created — the most auto jobs added in 15 months! Under President Trump, the private sector is leading the way — 93% of the job gains in February were in the private sector. This is great news for American workers and families. The Trump Administration will continue to work hard to implement pro-growth policies and push Congress to enact the Trump Economic Agenda,” she said.

The report showed that the automobile manufacturing industry added 8,900 jobs in February after it lost around 27,000 jobs the previous year under former President Joe Biden.

A whopping 93 percent of the new jobs came from the private sector, not the federal government, as regulatory burdens on businesses have already been relaxed through a series of executive orders and actions directed by President Trump since taking office Jan. 20.

For native-born American workers, the news was particularly promising, as numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that 284,000 native-born workers got new jobs last month, while 87,000 foreign-born workers lost jobs.

It also showed that 367,000 native-born workers joined the workforce while 66,000 foreign-born workers left it.

Juxtapose those numbers with January’s numbers, the last of the Biden administration: The United States added fewer jobs than anticipated in January as the Federal Reserve waits to see labor market and inflation data before deciding on whether or not to adjust interest rates, Fox Business reported.

Also, the unemployment rate was at 4 percent, which was lower than what was anticipated by economists — another good sign for Trump.

“The number of jobs added in the prior two months were both revised, with job creation in November revised up by 49,000 from a gain of 212,000 to 261,000, while December was revised up by 51,000 from a gain of 256,000 to 307,000. Taken together, 100,000 more jobs were created in those two months than previously reported,” the report said.

The private sector was expected to add 141,000 jobs but only added 111,000, according to government data, though these numbers could be revised upward over the next few weeks.

There was also some good news regarding wages, which grew half a percent from the previous month and 4.1 percent from the same time a year prior.

The retail industry added 34,300 jobs in January, while general merchandise retailers added 31,200 jobs and furniture retailers added 5,300.

Electronics and appliance retailers saw a decrease in jobs of 7,000.

“Social assistance added 22,300 jobs, led by individual and family services (+20,100) with gains also occurring in community food and housing, emergency and other relief services (+4,400). The sector grew by an average of 20,000 jobs a month last year,” the report said.

“The mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction industry lost 7,700 jobs in January, with losses concentrated in mining support activities. The sector experienced little net change in 2024,” it said.

Little Boy Cries And Begs Mom Not to Take Him to Daycare until She Storms into Facility

When three-year-old Johnny began throwing tantrums and begging his mother, Marla, not to take him to daycare, she brushed it off at first as a phase. But when his protests turned desperate, Marla decided to uncover the truth—and what she discovered was both shocking and heartbreaking.

One morning, Johnny threw himself to the floor, crying, “No, Mommy, no!” Marla glanced at her watch, exasperated. She’d already been late to work several times that week. Johnny had always loved daycare, but over the past week, he’d become inconsolable whenever it was time to go.

“Stop it!” Marla snapped in frustration, her voice sharper than she intended. Instantly, guilt washed over her as she saw the fear in Johnny’s tear-streaked face. Something wasn’t right.

She knelt down and pulled Johnny into her lap, rocking him gently until his sobs softened. “I’m sorry, sweetheart,” she said, stroking his hair. “Mommy didn’t mean to yell. Can you tell me why you don’t want to go to daycare anymore?”

Johnny clung to her tightly, whispering, “I don’t like it.”

“Why, honey?” Marla asked gently. “Are the other kids being mean?”

Johnny shook his head but stayed silent. After a moment, he looked up and asked, “No lunch, Mommy? No lunch?”

Marla frowned, confused. “What’s wrong with lunch?”

Johnny didn’t answer, but his anxious expression left Marla uneasy. Determined to figure out what was troubling her son, she promised him, “I’ll pick you up early today, okay? Before lunch.”

Johnny seemed relieved, nodding as he walked into daycare. But the pleading look he gave her before disappearing through the door stayed with Marla all morning. Something was wrong, and she needed to find out what.

Marla left work early that day, her boss—another mom—understanding her need to deal with a personal issue. Instead of picking Johnny up before lunch as promised, Marla decided to drop in unannounced during lunchtime to see for herself what was happening.

The daycare’s dining room had large glass windows, allowing her to observe unnoticed. As she approached, Marla spotted Johnny sitting at a table with the other children. A woman she didn’t recognize was seated beside him, holding a spoon.

Marla’s heart sank as she watched the woman scoop up mashed potatoes and push the spoon toward Johnny’s closed lips. “Eat!” the woman barked. Johnny shook his head, tears rolling down his cheeks.

“You’re not leaving this table until you clean your plate,” the woman snapped. Johnny opened his mouth to protest, and the woman seized the moment to shove the spoon in. He gagged and choked, his small body trembling with distress.

Marla had seen enough. She stormed into the dining room, her voice cutting through the air like a blade. “Get away from my son!”

The woman froze, her face pale. “Parents aren’t allowed in the dining room,” she stammered.

“They should be,” Marla said, her anger barely contained. “Forcing food into a child’s mouth is abusive. My son is a healthy, active boy, and if he says he’s full, you respect that. You don’t shove food into his mouth and traumatize him.”

Marla’s voice grew steadier as she continued, “This isn’t just outdated. It’s harmful. Forcing a child to clean their plate can lead to obesity, eating disorders, and a lifetime of unhealthy relationships with food. These kids aren’t objects for you to control. They’re little people who deserve respect.”

The woman flushed crimson, rising from her chair. “I didn’t mean—”

Marla cut her off. “If this happens again, I’ll make sure you’re held accountable. My son will not be treated this way.”

Turning to Johnny, Marla gently wiped his face and kissed his forehead. “Come on, sweetheart. Let’s go. Mommy promised you a treat.”

That afternoon, Marla sat down with Johnny to reassure him that he was safe. Over the next few weeks, she made it a point to drop in unannounced at different times, including lunch. The daycare staff, now on alert, ensured Johnny—and the other children—were treated with care and respect.

Soon, Johnny’s cheerful demeanor returned, and the morning tantrums stopped. Marla was relieved to see her little boy happy and excited about daycare again.

Lessons from this story:

  1. Children’s boundaries matter. Forcing children to comply against their will can cause emotional harm and erode their trust in authority figures.
  2. Parents should trust their instincts. If something feels off, it’s worth investigating, even if it means disrupting routines.
  3. Respect fosters confidence. Teaching children that their feelings and boundaries are valid helps them grow into secure, self-assured individuals.

Share this story—it’s a reminder of the importance of standing up for what’s right and ensuring children feel safe and valued.
