Trump’s Inauguration Remarks Stir Controversy

During his inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump delivered two speeches that showcased contrasting tones. In his formal inaugural address, he emphasized national unity and the dawn of a “golden age of America.”

However, in a subsequent unscripted speech at Emancipation Hall, President Trump adopted a more confrontational stance, directly criticizing political adversaries. He labeled former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “guilty as hell” regarding her actions related to the January 6 Capitol events. Additionally, he referred to former Representative Liz Cheney as a “disaster,” highlighting her opposition to his policies.

These remarks have intensified political discourse, with critics expressing concern over the potential for such rhetoric to deepen national divisions. Supporters, on the other hand, view his statements as a reaffirmation of his commitment to addressing issues he perceives within the political establishment.

Elon Musk’s Hand Gesture at Trump’s Inauguration Sparks Nationwide Outrage

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, Elon Musk’s hand gesture sparked nationwide outrage and debate. While addressing supporters at the Capital One Arena, Musk placed his hand over his heart and extended his right arm upward, a motion some interpreted as a fascist salute. Critics condemned the gesture, drawing parallels to historical totalitarian symbols. Supporters, however, argued that Musk was expressing gratitude, emphasizing his words, “Thank you for making this possible!”

The incident has intensified discussions about the influence of tech leaders in politics, especially given Musk’s significant support for Trump’s campaign. As debates continue, the nation remains divided over the implications of Musk’s actions during the inauguration.

Barron Trump At His Father Inauguration

Barron’s Commanding Presence

At 18 years old and standing at an impressive 6 feet 7 inches, Barron towered over attendees at the Capitol Rotunda. Dressed in a tailored dark suit adorned with an American flag pin, he positioned himself prominently behind the presidential podium. Observers noted his poised demeanor and striking appearance, leading to online speculation about his potential future in politics. Social media platforms buzzed with comments, with some users referring to him as a “future president.”

A New Look

Barron also debuted a fresh hairstyle during the inauguration. His shorter, slicked-back hair, reminiscent of his father’s signature style, caught the attention of many. This change in appearance was highlighted by various media outlets, noting his evolution from the young boy seen during the 2017 inauguration to a confident young adult.

Family Support

The inauguration was a family affair, with all five of President Trump’s children in attendance. Barron’s presence, alongside his siblings, underscored the family’s united front during this significant event. Despite being in the public eye, Barron has largely maintained a private life, making his prominent role at the inauguration all the more noteworthy.

Online Reactions

The internet was abuzz with discussions about Barron’s appearance and demeanor. Many praised his maturity and speculated about his future endeavors. His commanding presence at the event led to a flurry of memes and discussions, highlighting the public’s fascination with the youngest Trump.

In summary, Barron Trump’s unexpected prominence during his father’s inauguration not only showcased his personal growth but also sparked widespread conversation about his potential future, leaving the internet both surprised and intrigued.

Kamala Harris’s Reaction During Trump’s Inauguration

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, Vice President Kamala Harris’s reactions became a focal point of public attention. Notably, as President Trump addressed the nation, Harris and former President Joe Biden were observed refraining from applause during specific segments of the speech. This was particularly evident when Trump referenced a recent shooting incident at a rally in Pennsylvania, where he emphasized his resilience and commitment to “make America great again.” While many attendees responded with standing ovations, both Harris and Biden remained seated and did not clap, a moment captured and widely shared across media platforms.

Additionally, upon their introduction at the Capitol Rotunda, Harris and Biden faced audible boos from the audience. Despite the public disapproval, both maintained their composure, choosing not to visibly react to the crowd’s response.

In terms of attire, Vice President Harris opted for a tailored black, double-breasted coat, complemented by black trousers, a striped scarf, and leather gloves. Her choice of a classic string of pearls paid homage to her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, reflecting her signature style of neutral-toned tailored outfits by American designers.

These moments involving Vice President Harris during the inauguration have sparked discussions and analyses, highlighting the nuanced dynamics present during the ceremonial transition of power.

Trump didn’t place his hand on the bible while he was being sworn in at his second inauguration ceremony

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, a notable deviation from tradition occurred that has sparked widespread discussion among Christian communities. As Trump took the oath of office, he raised his right hand but did not place his left hand on the Bibles held by First Lady Melania Trump. This departure from customary practice has led to varied reactions and interpretations.

The Inauguration Oath Without the Bible

Traditionally, U.S. presidents have placed their left hand on a Bible while taking the oath of office, symbolizing a solemn commitment to uphold the nation’s values. In this instance, Melania Trump held two Bibles: one gifted to President Trump by his mother and the historic Lincoln Bible. However, President Trump chose to take the oath without placing his hand on either Bible, a move that, while not unconstitutional, is unprecedented in modern inaugurations

Constitutional Perspective

It’s important to note that the U.S. Constitution does not mandate the use of a Bible for the presidential oath. Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 specifies the wording of the oath but does not prescribe any religious texts or symbols. This allows for flexibility in how the oath is administered, accommodating personal beliefs and interpretations.

Reactions from Christian Communities

The decision to omit the traditional Bible placement has elicited a range of responses from Christian groups:

  • Traditionalists: Some view the gesture as a departure from a revered practice that underscores the nation’s historical reliance on biblical principles during significant governmental proceedings.
  • Progressives: Others interpret the move as a recognition of the diverse religious landscape of the country, suggesting that the act reflects an inclusive approach to governance that respects various faiths and beliefs.

Historical Context

While the use of a Bible is customary, there have been exceptions. For instance, John Quincy Adams took the oath on a book of law, emphasizing his commitment to the Constitution. Similarly, Theodore Roosevelt did not use a Bible during his swearing-in ceremony. These instances highlight that while tradition holds significant symbolic value, deviations have occurred based on personal convictions or circumstances.

Conclusion

President Trump’s choice to take the oath without placing his hand on a Bible has ignited discussions about the role of religious symbols in state ceremonies. This event serves as a reminder of the evolving nature of traditions and the diverse interpretations they can inspire within a multifaceted society.

What Biden Did Right Before Trump’s Oath of Office Has Everyone Talking

In the final moments of his presidency, just before Donald Trump took the oath of office on January 20, 2025, Joe Biden issued a series of preemptive pardons that have become a focal point of public discourse. Among those pardoned were his close family members, including his brother James B. Biden and sister Valerie Biden Owens, as well as their spouses. Biden cited relentless partisan attacks targeting his loved ones as the impetus for these pardons, emphasizing that they had committed no wrongdoing but deserved protection from potential politically motivated prosecutions.

Additionally, Biden extended preemptive pardons to several notable figures, such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and General Mark Milley, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Members of the January 6 congressional committee, including former Representatives Liz Cheney, Adam Schiff, and Adam Kinzinger, were also pardoned. Biden underscored that these pardons were not admissions of guilt but measures to safeguard public servants from potential retribution by the incoming administration.

These unprecedented actions have sparked widespread debate. Supporters argue that Biden’s pardons were necessary to protect individuals who served the nation diligently, ensuring they are not subjected to politically charged legal actions. Critics, however, contend that such sweeping pardons set a concerning precedent, potentially undermining the justice system’s integrity. The timing, immediately preceding President Trump’s inauguration, has further intensified discussions about the motivations and implications of these pardons.

As the nation transitions to new leadership, Biden’s final executive actions continue to be a topic of significant conversation, reflecting the deep political divisions and the complexities inherent in the peaceful transfer of power.

Joe Biden’s Reaction During Trump’s Inauguration Speech

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, former President Joe Biden exhibited a notable reaction that captured public attention. As a speaker addressed the peaceful transition of power, Biden was observed making the sign of the cross, a gesture interpreted by some as a “cheeky” response to the proceedings.

This subtle act stood out amidst the formalities of the inauguration, especially considering the historically contentious relationship between Biden and Trump. Observers and media outlets quickly highlighted the moment, sparking discussions about its intended meaning and the underlying sentiments it may have conveyed. The gesture added a layer of intrigue to the day’s events, reflecting the complex dynamics of American political traditions and the personal interactions of its leading figures.

Nancy Pelosi Chooses to Skip Donald Trump’s Inauguration, Citing No Specific Reason

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made headlines by choosing not to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025. This decision was confirmed by her spokesperson, who did not provide a specific reason for her absence.

Pelosi, 84, has a history of attending presidential inaugurations, including Trump’s first in 2017. Her decision to skip this event is notable, especially considering her past participation in such ceremonies.

The relationship between Pelosi and Trump has been notably strained over the years. A particularly memorable incident occurred in 2020 when Pelosi tore up a copy of Trump’s State of the Union address immediately after he delivered it. This act was seen as a direct response to the contentious interactions between the two leaders.

Pelosi’s absence from the inauguration aligns with decisions made by other prominent figures. Former First Lady Michelle Obama also chose not to attend, with sources indicating her strong disapproval of Trump as a contributing factor.

In addition to Pelosi and Obama, several Democratic lawmakers opted to boycott the inauguration. This collective decision underscores the deep political divisions and the contentious nature of the current political climate.

Pelosi’s choice to skip the inauguration is seen by many as a significant political statement, reflecting the ongoing tensions and divisions within the U.S. political landscape.

Elon Musk: This was no ordinary victory. This was a fork in the road of human civilization.

During the inauguration of President Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, delivered a speech at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., which has since become a focal point of public discourse.

Musk’s Address and Controversial Gesture

In his address, Musk celebrated President Trump’s victory, emphasizing its significance for the future of civilization. He stated, “It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured,” and expressed commitment by adding, “I’m going to work my a– off for you guys.”

However, during his speech, Musk made a gesture—raising his arm—that some interpreted as a fascist salute. This action was noted by various media outlets, including CNN, and has sparked controversy and debate regarding its intent and implications.

Reactions and Implications

The gesture has led to widespread discussion across social media platforms and news outlets. Critics have expressed concern over the appropriateness of such a gesture, especially in a politically charged environment. Supporters argue that the gesture may have been misinterpreted and emphasize Musk’s longstanding contributions to technology and space exploration.

Conclusion

Elon Musk’s speech at President Trump’s inauguration, particularly the controversial gesture, has added a complex layer to the public’s perception of his political stance and actions. As the discourse continues, it underscores the heightened sensitivity to public figures’ actions in today’s sociopolitical climate.

Trump Vows to Rename the Gulf of Mexico

In a move stirring both domestic and international discourse, President Donald Trump has announced plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” This proposal, unveiled during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on January 7, 2025, is part of a series of initiatives aimed at emphasizing American sovereignty and influence.

The Announcement

President Trump articulated his intention by stating, “We’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, which has a beautiful ring. It’s appropriate.”

He further justified the change by highlighting the United States’ significant activities in the region, asserting that the new name reflects the nation’s predominant role.

Legislative Support

Following the President’s declaration, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia expressed her support by announcing plans to introduce legislation to effectuate the name change. She emphasized the importance of aligning the gulf’s name with American interests, stating, “It’s our gulf. The rightful name is the Gulf of America.”

Historical Context

The Gulf of Mexico has borne its name for over four centuries, originating from a Native American city named “Mexico.” This body of water is a critical economic zone, supporting industries such as fishing, energy production, and international commerce. It borders five U.S. states—Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida—as well as Mexico and Cuba.

International Considerations

Renaming an international body of water is a complex endeavor that extends beyond unilateral decisions. The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), comprising both the United States and Mexico as members, oversees the naming of seas, oceans, and navigable waters to ensure uniformity in global charts and documents. While the U.S. can adopt the new name in its federal communications and official maps, other nations are not obligated to recognize or implement this change.

Reactions and Implications

The proposal has elicited a spectrum of reactions. During President Trump’s inauguration speech, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was observed reacting with amusement to the announcement.

Critics argue that such a move could strain diplomatic relations, particularly with neighboring countries sharing the gulf. Conversely, supporters view it as a reaffirmation of American preeminence and a step toward reasserting national identity.

Conclusion

President Trump’s initiative to rename the Gulf of Mexico underscores his administration’s focus on nationalistic policies and symbolic gestures aimed at reinforcing American dominance. While the practical implications of this proposed change remain uncertain, the discussion it has sparked highlights the intricate balance between national interests and international diplomacy.

Donald Trump Promises ‘A Lot of Action’

In a historic moment that gripped the nation, Donald Trump delivered his second inauguration speech, setting a bold tone for his return to the presidency. While much of his address focused on unity and rebuilding the nation, it was his unexpected remarks about the January 6 Capitol storming that stole the spotlight.

Trump vowed to take decisive action regarding the prisoners detained in connection with the Capitol riot. “There’s been a lot of suffering and injustice surrounding this issue,” he stated. “I promise you, there will be a lot of action to correct this.”

This announcement was met with loud applause and cheers from his supporters, who have long advocated for the release of what they call “political prisoners.” Trump did not elaborate on specific plans but hinted that pardons or policy changes could be forthcoming.

A Deliberate Shift in Tone

Interestingly, Trump also admitted to deliberately toning down his main address. “I chose to avoid controversial topics today because this is a time for healing and unity,” he explained. This statement marked a departure from the fiery rhetoric that characterized many of his past speeches.

Political analysts are divided on the impact of his remarks. While some view his promise as a direct appeal to his base, others believe it could reignite national debates about the events of January 6 and their consequences.

Reactions Across the Political Spectrum

Unsurprisingly, Trump’s comments sparked mixed reactions. Supporters lauded his commitment to addressing what they see as judicial overreach, while critics accused him of reigniting a divisive chapter in American history.

“This is exactly what we needed to hear,” said a supporter outside the Capitol, waving a “Trump 2024” flag. “It’s about time someone took a stand for those who have been wrongfully imprisoned.”

Opponents, however, were less enthusiastic. “Trump’s comments only serve to inflame tensions,” one political analyst argued. “He’s walking a fine line between appealing to his base and alienating the rest of the country.”

What Comes Next?

While Trump refrained from giving specifics, his promise of “a lot of action” has left the nation eagerly anticipating what his next steps will be. Whether through executive orders, pardons, or legislative action, it’s clear that the former president intends to make this issue a key focus of his administration.

Stay tuned for updates on how Trump’s bold promises will unfold and the impact they will have on the nation’s political landscape.

This Is What Trump Revealed About Melania

Following his inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump delivered a second speech to supporters at the Capitol. During this address, he expressed gratitude to First Lady Melania Trump for her support throughout the day’s events. In a candid moment, President Trump remarked, “I shouldn’t say this… I’m going to get hell when I say this, but her feet are absolutely aching. You know, those heels.”

This lighthearted comment provided a glimpse into the personal challenges faced by the First Lady during the inauguration ceremonies. Melania Trump attended the event in a deep navy ensemble designed by Adam Lippes, complemented by a matching wide-brimmed hat by Eric Javits.

The stylish yet towering heels she wore likely contributed to her discomfort.

The President’s acknowledgment of his wife’s aching feet added a humanizing touch to the formal proceedings, resonating with many who understand the demands of such significant public events.

Maine Boy, 3, Found Dead in the Snow by Dad After He Was Reported Missing — Details

A loved one of a bereaved family who recently lost their little boy has started a GoFundMe page to assist the family with medical and funeral costs.

After a 3-year-old boy was reported missing in Corinna, Maine on January 12, 2025, the Maine Department of Public Safety officials confirmed that he passed away. According to state officials, the boy’s father found him outside in the snow near the residence where he was reported missing.

State officials suspect the toddler died from exposure to the harsh winter elements, though the official cause of death will be determined following an autopsy conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.

The incident unfolded early in the morning when the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 8:30 a.m. from a concerned woman reporting that her young nephew had gone missing from a home on Exeter Road.

Shortly after, the boy’s father made the heartbreaking discovery. “Regretfully, the male child succumbed to injuries which appear to be consistent with exposure to the elements,” reads a message from state officials.

Authorities have also confirmed that this was an isolated incident and assured the public that there is no ongoing safety concern.

In a statement addressing the loss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services expressed their deep sorrow, stating, “The loss of a child is devastating and tragic. Our condolences are with the family and those impacted.”

Due to confidentiality laws and the sensitive nature of the case, officials declined to provide further comment. News Center Maine reports that the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation with support from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office and Maine DHHS.

Joe Biden Announces Decision on Pardoning Cheney, Fauci

President Joe Biden issued historic preemptive pardons for former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci, House Jan. 6 committee members, and others on Monday, granting them broad immunity just hours before President-elect Trump’s White House return.

Biden stunned many when he issued the blanket pardons before Trump’s swearing-in at the U.S. Capitol on Monday.

“Our nation relies on dedicated, selfless public servants every day. They are the lifeblood of our democracy. Yet alarmingly, public servants have been subjected to ongoing threats and intimidation for faithfully discharging their duties,” Biden wrote.

“In certain cases, some have even been threatened with criminal prosecutions, including General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, and the members and staff of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. These public servants have served our nation with honor and distinction and do not deserve to be the targets of unjustified and politically motivated prosecutions,” he added.

“General Milley served our nation for more than 40 years, serving in multiple command and leadership posts and deploying to some of the most dangerous parts of the world to protect and defend democracy. As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he guided our Armed Forces through complex global security threats and strengthened our existing alliances while forging new ones,” Biden said.

“For more than half a century. Dr. Fauci served our country. He saved countless lives by managing the government’s response to pressing health crises, including HIV/AIDS, as well as the Ebola and Zika viruses. During his tenure as my Chief Medical Advisor, he helped the country tackle a once-in-a-century pandemic. The United States is safer and healthier because of him,” Biden added.

“On January 6, 2021, American democracy was tested when a mob of insurrectionists attacked the Capitol in an attempt to overturn a fair and free election by force and violence. In light of the significance of that day. Congress established the bipartisan Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol to investigate and report upon the facts, circumstances, and causes of the insurrection. The Select Committee fulfilled this mission with integrity and a commitment to discovering the truth. Rather than accept accountability, those who perpetrated the January 6th attack have taken every opportunity to undermine and intimidate those who participated in the Select Committee in an attempt to rewrite history, erase the stain of January 6th for partisan gain, and seek revenge, including by threatening criminal prosecutions,” he continued.

Biden concluded, “I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But these are exceptional circumstances, and I cannot in good conscience do nothing. Baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families. Even when individuals have done nothing wrong—and in fact have done the right thing—and will ultimately be exonerated, the mere fact of being investigated or prosecuted can irreparably damage reputations and finances.”

After more than 50 years in politics and with low approval ratings, President Biden is leaving Washington and his official public life behind.

Biden has spent the last few weeks drafting executive orders that will be difficult for President Donald Trump to revoke after withdrawing from the political limelight after resigning as the Democratic presidential nominee for 2024.

Biden is departing Washington with one of his lowest approval scores, even though polls improved soon after his withdrawal.

According to RealClearPolitics, a CNN poll this week revealed that his approval was 37% and his disapproval was 63%, with an average net negative rating of 18 percentage points.

Melania Trump says Obama administration withheld information

All eyes turn to the White House today, with Donald Trump returning to be sworn in at his second inauguration alongside his wife, former First Lady, Melania Trump.

Trump may cause controversy wherever he walks and talks, but the people of the US have once again by popular vote deemed him the individual best suited to take their country forward.

In case any of you have forgotten or didn’t know – basically if you moved to Earth from an alien planet yesterday – Trump served as US president between 2017 and 2021, and his exit from the Oval Office was typically dramatic.

We need not get into the nitty-gritty of what made the transition between the Trump and Joe Biden administrations as distasteful as it was, but it can be assumed that onlookers will hope for a smooth swearing in ahead of his second term as White House chief.

And they’re not alone. If reports are anything to go by, Melania Trump is also hoping that she and Donald’s move to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will be seamless and without issue.

It’s been widely reported that Melania won’t be living full-time at the White House this time around. Donald, obviously, is expected to make the place his permanent residence for the next four years, but his wife, it’s speculated, will split her time between a number of abodes.

With the couple’s son, Barron, now having started studying in New York, it’s claimed that Melania will want to spend a portion of her time there, the better to offer him support. Not only that, but one gets the feeling that resuming her duties as first lady hasn’t been an idea Melania has been overly enthused by. Sure, she’ll don the mantle and stand by her husband’s side, but personally (author speaking here) I don’t think she would have been utterly heartbroken had her husband lost last year’s election.

Anyway, I digress. The fact of the matter is that Donald and Melania will today be sworn in for their second term, and we know that their opinions on the respective tasks they will carry out over the next four years differ from those they held prior to the era of the first Trump administration.

Trump has hardly been quiet regarding his thoughts about being president again, while Melania’s 2024 memoir, appropriately titled Melania, gave her the chance to vent a lot of feelings that had gone under the radar.

In an interview to discuss her book, Melania was asked if there would be a difference relating to she and Donald’s moving in to the White House this time around, compared to when they did so following the Obama administration.

“The difference is I know where I will be going, I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process,” Melania explained.

“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information, the information was upheld (withheld) for us from previous administration.

“But this time I have everything, I have the plans. I could move in, I already packed – I already selected the furniture that needs to go in.

“So it’s a very different transition this time, second time around.”

Are you looking forward to Donald and Melania Trump’s second term as President and First Lady of the United States? Let us know in the comments.

J.D. Vance Speech During His Inauguration

On January 20, 2025, J.D. Vance was sworn in as the 50th Vice President of the United States during a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol.

In his inaugural address, Vice President Vance emphasized a commitment to revitalizing American manufacturing and reducing the nation’s dependence on foreign supply chains. He stated, “We will bring back jobs to American soil and ensure that our industries thrive once again.” This declaration aligns with the administration’s broader economic strategy to bolster domestic production and create employment opportunities for American workers.

Vice President Vance also addressed the importance of unity and bipartisanship, urging lawmakers to collaborate for the nation’s benefit. He remarked, “It’s time to put aside our differences and work together to solve the challenges facing our country.” This call for cooperation was met with applause from attendees across the political spectrum.

The inauguration ceremony, held indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to inclement weather, was attended by dignitaries, former presidents, and members of Congress. The event marked a significant moment in American history, as Vice President Vance, a former U.S. Senator from Ohio and author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” assumed the nation’s second-highest office.

As the new administration begins its term, Vice President Vance’s statements signal a focus on economic revitalization and political unity, setting the tone for the policies and initiatives to come.

Melania During Trump’s Inauguration

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, First Lady Melania Trump garnered significant attention for her fashion choices and a particular moment that became widely discussed.

Striking Fashion Statement

Melania Trump attended the inauguration wearing a custom navy double-breasted coat and skirt ensemble by American designer Adam Lippes, paired with a matching wide-brimmed boater hat by Eric Javits. The hat’s design, featuring a flat top and wide brim, notably cast a shadow over her face, adding an air of mystery to her appearance.

The Hat Incident

A moment that captured widespread attention occurred inside the Capitol Rotunda. As President Trump leaned in to kiss Melania on the cheek, her wide-brimmed hat obstructed the gesture, resulting in an awkward exchange. Observers noted that the hat’s brim made it challenging for the President to make contact, leading to a brief, unintended comedic moment.

Public and Media Reaction

The incident quickly became a topic of discussion across various media platforms. Some commentators humorously speculated about the choice of hat, suggesting it might have been a deliberate move to avoid public displays of affection. Fashion analysts also weighed in, noting that while the ensemble was elegant, the practicality of the hat during such interactions was questionable.

Conclusion

Melania Trump’s appearance at the inauguration not only showcased her distinctive fashion sense but also provided a lighthearted moment that resonated with the public. The combination of her sartorial choices and the unscripted interaction with President Trump highlighted the human side of political ceremonies, reminding audiences of the spontaneous moments that can occur even during formal events.

President Trump’s Inauguration Unveils Bold Initiatives

In his inauguration speech on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump made several significant announcements that have left the nation in awe. Declaring it “liberation day,” he proclaimed, “The golden age of America begins right now” and introduced a “revolution of common sense.”

Key Announcements:

  • National Energy Emergency: Addressing the inflation crisis, President Trump attributed it to “massive overspending and escalating energy prices.” To combat this, he declared a national energy emergency, emphasizing the need to “drill, baby, drill” to boost domestic energy production.
  • Immigration Crackdown: President Trump pledged to declare a national emergency at the southern border, aiming to halt illegal entry and deport undocumented migrants with criminal records. He also plans to designate foreign criminal gangs as terrorist organizations.
  • Policy Reversals: The President vowed to overturn several policies from the previous administration, including revoking the electric-vehicle mandate and ending the CBP One border app. He also announced the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement.
  • Space Exploration: In a visionary statement, President Trump declared his intention to send astronauts to Mars, marking a bold step in American space exploration.

These announcements signal a transformative agenda for President Trump’s second term, focusing on energy independence, strict immigration enforcement, policy reversals, and ambitious space exploration goals. The nation watches closely as these plans unfold, anticipating the profound impact they will have on the country’s future.

President Donald Trump declared, “There are only two genders”

During his inaugural address on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump declared, “There are only two genders: male and female.” This statement aligns with his administration’s commitment to implementing restrictive gender policies, as reported by El País.

President Trump’s remarks reflect a broader agenda to reverse policies from the previous administration, particularly those related to gender identity and expression. This approach has sparked significant debate among policymakers, advocacy groups, and the public.

Advocates for LGBTQ+ rights have expressed concern that such policies could lead to increased discrimination and marginalization of transgender and non-binary individuals. Conversely, supporters argue that these measures uphold traditional values and provide clarity in policy implementation.

As the administration moves forward, the implications of these policies will likely be the subject of legal challenges and public discourse, highlighting the ongoing national conversation about gender identity and civil rights.

Clinton’s And Obama draw boos from Trump supporters

During President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, attended the ceremony at the U.S. Capitol. As they were shown arriving, some attendees in the arena expressed their disapproval through boos.

Despite the audible disapproval, Hillary Clinton maintained her composure throughout the event. She was seen engaging courteously with other attendees, including greeting First Lady Melania Trump during the inaugural luncheon.

Time At the luncheon, President Trump acknowledged the Clintons’ presence, stating, “I have a lot of respect for those two people,” and led a standing ovation in their honor.

This display of civility underscores Hillary Clinton’s commitment to the peaceful transfer of power and the traditions of American democracy, even in the face of personal and political challenges.

If you’re looking for a dessert that’s as simple to prepare as it is delicious, this slow cooker honey and cinnamon recipe is the talk of the town. Using just a handful of ingredients and a trusty slow cooker, you can create a warm, comforting treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

The Magic of Honey and Cinnamon

Honey and cinnamon are a dream team in the culinary world. Together, they create a rich, aromatic sweetness that elevates any dish. When combined in a slow cooker, their flavors intensify, resulting in a dessert that’s both indulgent and wholesome.

What You’ll Need

  • 3-4 ripe apples (or pears, for a twist)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

How to Make It

  1. Prepare the Fruit:
Peel and core the apples, then slice them into wedges. Place them in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix the Flavors:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, melted butter, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
Pour the honey and cinnamon mixture over the apples, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle nuts on top if you’re using them.
  4. Cook Low and Slow:
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. The fruit should be tender and infused with the sweet, spicy flavors.
  5. Serve Warm:
Spoon the honey-cinnamon apples into bowls and serve with a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or even a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Why Everyone Loves This Dessert

  • Minimal Effort: This recipe requires just a few minutes of prep time before the slow cooker does all the work.
  • Versatile: It’s great on its own, but you can also use it as a topping for pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, or even yogurt.

These 13 Sisters From The Same Convent All Passed Away At The Same Time

Thirteen sisters from the Felician congregation in Livonia, Michigan, died from COVID-19 between April and June 2020.

Most were aged 69 to 99. The virus spread rapidly after being unknowingly brought in by two aides.

Experts later criticized the lack of proper precautions, especially given the nuns’ vulnerability.

The tragic loss, which also impacted the convent’s daily operations, was the worst religious community tragedy since the 1918 influenza pandemic. Survivors urged the importance of masks and unity during the crisis.

Woman spends 11 minutes in heaven and hell, returns with warning

A woman claims she temporarily died and had a horrifying experience with the underworld, a place she describes as “hell.”

Acting as a messenger, the woman shared her “unbearable” journey in the afterlife, reminding people who “don’t change their ways” of the hellish environment they’ll spend an eternity.

In 2019, Charlotte Holmes was having a routine check-up with her cardiologist when her doctor delivered some shocking news.

During the appointment, her blood pressure spiked to 234/134, a reading well above the normal 120/80 that indicates a person is experiencing a hypertensive crisis.

After being told she was “not going home,” Charlotte, of Wichita, Kansas, was admitted into the hospital “to get that blood pressure down.”

“It’s got to come down,” her heart doctor warned. “Either you’re having another stroke, or you’re about to have a heart attack.”

The elderly woman was placed in a room and hooked up to an IV to hopefully relax the blood vessels and reduce the amount of work required by her heart.

Danny, her husband of almost 50 years, was by her side, watching as doctors tended to his wife.

“Immediately they called this code, and everybody started rushing in and they just started working on her,” Danny recalls. “My feeling was…I’m wondering if I’m even going to be able to bring her home.”

And then Danny explains that his wife started talking about “the flowers.”

“Well, I looked around and I knew there was no flowers in that room. That’s when I knew she was not in this world when that was going on.”

Then Charlotte’s heart stopped and according to both her and her husband, she was clinically dead for the next 11 minutes.

“I was above my body. I could see Danny standing in the corner,” Charlotte explains of her “out of body experience.” “[Danny] had backed up. I could see them, all the nurses around. And then I opened my eyes. I looked around at the beauty. I could see the trees, I could see the grass. And everything was swaying with the music. I can’t convey to you what heaven looked like, [because] it’s so above what we could even imagine, a million times.”

Sharing that she was guided into “heaven by angels,” the woman continues, “There is no fear. It’s like pure joy. When the angels take over, there is no fear. When you are going home, it’s pure joy.”

And then she claims she was reunited with deceased family members: “I saw my mom. I saw my dad. I saw my sister. I saw family members standing behind.”

Charlotte then recalls she was blinded by what she saw next.

“Standing behind my mom and dad was a light so bright. I couldn’t look upon it. So bright. But I knew it was [God]. I saw a toddler. And I can remember thinking, ‘Who is this?’” She was told that it was her child that she miscarried many decades ago when she was about six months pregnant.

“I can remember them holding the baby up and saying, ‘Charlotte, it’s a boy.’ Then he was gone. So when I saw this toddler, I said, ‘God, how is that possible?’ He says, ‘They continue to grow in heaven. But there’s no time. It’s eternity.’ So, 48 years, and here my child, our child, is a toddler.”

Unfortunately, her journey did not end there.

Her guide, who she refers to as “God,” showed her one more thing.

“God took me to the edge of hell, and I looked down and the smell – rotten flesh. That’s what it smelled like, and screams,” she says of the horrifying sight. “After seeing the beauty of heaven, the contrast of seeing hell is almost unbearable.”

Charlotte claims she was given the vision to deliver a warning of the horrors of hell to those who “do not change their ways.”

“This is where they shall reside,” she heard before she was instructed to return to her body “and share.”

After 11 minutes, Charlotte woke and describing the experience of returning to her body, she said, I felt myself being drawn into my body. I felt the pain, where I hadn’t felt pain. I felt the sorrow.”

Her husband, settled when he noticed her blinking her eyes, adds, “I knew then I was going to get to bring [her] home.”

Charlotte recovered and shared her story until November 28, 2023, when she died at 72.

She leaves behind her husband of 52 years, her daughter Chrystal Holmes Meek, two grandkids and one great grandchild.

In a heartwarming tribute to his wife, Danny writes on Facebook, “It is so hard for me to give this beautiful little lady up after 52 years of an amazing life…When she died in 2019 and God gave her a glimpse of heaven, her life changed until he called her home…Her journey has ended.”

As Charlotte earlier said, “I can look you square in the eye and tell you for sure, heaven is real.”

Meaning behind the ‘WC’ sign outside bathrooms

Have you ever noticed the letters WC posted outside a public bathroom and wondered what it means?

If so, you’re not alone as people around the world are trying to unravel the mystery of the WC, a space that identifies a room containing a toilet and a sink.

And while we’ll offer you an explanation of the WC, we can’t promise the term will make anymore sense than restroom, bathroom or loo…

In 2020, a couple named Shelby and Dylan shared a TikTok video that revealed a major difference in how some Americans and Canadians do their business.

“What in the world is a washroom?” asks Dylan as he walks by sign that says “washroom.”

“And what are they washing in there? Oh, it’s a restroom. The only thing I wash in there is my hands,” he tells his wife. Off-camera, Shelby can be heard asking: “Do you rest in a restroom?”

@shelbanddyl

I didn’t know he had Canadian roots 🤣 We got to ride a horse trolley and loved it! We can’t wait to come back and do a lot more! ❤️#shelbanddyl #husbandreacts #canada #couples #relationships

“That’s a good point. They both don’t make much sense,” Dylan adds.

Online users jumped into the comments section, offering their opinions on the term they prefer to use for the sacred room. “It’s called a bathroom, restroom, washroom and toilet,” offers one user.

A second follower said when they were visiting Disneyland, they “asked for the washroom” and they “sent me to the laundromat!”

A third adds, “Wait ‘til he finds out about water closets.”

Water closet

According to Mirriam Webster’s Dictionary, “water closet” is a noun that describes “a compartment or room with a toilet” or “a toilet bowl and its accessories.”

Back in the day, when someone would use the bathroom, it was to take a bath. And when a person used a restroom, it was apparently to rest or get ready for the day by using the sink and mirror.

Lastly, if you needed to go potty, you would use the toilet in the water closet. Depending on where you live in the world, the room that holds the porcelain throne goes by various names including the loo, restroom, bathroom, washroom, lavatory or WC.

In modern days, you’ll often see signage indicating WC in public spaces like airports, restaurants, or hotels. It’s just another way of saying “restroom” or “bathroom” but is often associated with a more formal or universal sign in places catering to international travelers.

History of the WC

Before the 19th century in America, indoor toilets were a luxury, reserved primarily for the wealthy. Most people used outhouses or other outdoor facilities for their sanitary needs. While homes often had “bathrooms” for bathing, these rooms typically didn’t include toilets. The widespread installation of indoor plumbing began in the late 19th century, with the advent of the water closet by 1890. These rooms housed the toilet separately from bathing spaces.

It wasn’t until the early 20th century that the modern bathroom, combining both bathing facilities and toilets into one integrated space, became common.

While combining toilets and bathtubs in the same room was a practical solution for saving space and simplifying plumbing, this arrangement did reduce privacy, especially in shared spaces.

Since, the term “water closet” evolved to refer to a small, enclosed room within a larger bathroom, dedicated solely to the toilet. These water closets often include a small sink for handwashing, making them self-contained and convenient.

Attempting to demystify the water closet, online users shared their opinions on Reddit in a post called, “Why is a public WC called bathroom if there is [no] bath?”

Responding to the message, a Redditor writes, “Americans might similarly ask: ‘Why is it called a WC (water closet) if it isn’t even a closet?” the comment continues to explain that a “bathroom” or “restroom” is the “preferred US euphemism for ‘room with toilet,’ whereas other places use ‘WC,’ ‘lavatory,’ ‘loo’ etc.”

“In Russian it’s ‘a room without windows’ even if there actually is a window,” shares a third while another adds, “In Esperanto, it’s necesejo, or ‘necessary place’”

Meanwhile, other Redditors discussed washroom versus bathroom and restroom.

“Canada famously uses Washroom,” says one netizen while another clarifies, “I’m from the midwest, and washroom is fairly common here. Bathroom or restroom are probably used the most though.”

“Best one, I think. You should be washing in there,” adds another. “…not resting.”

Sometimes, the cringiest dates turn into the funniest stories! We’ve all experienced it — wading through the complicated world of love, only to find ourselves with a tale that’s more “oops” than “aww.” Dating disasters are something we can all relate to, from blind date blunders to inventive loyalty tests. Why shed tears over spilled wine at dinner when you could just laugh it off instead?

Check out these nine funny jokes that capture the ups and downs of dating experiences. No matter your relationship status, these punchlines are sure to make your heart race — this time, from laughter!

I was scrolling through a dating app and ended up matching with someone who didn’t have a profile pic. Feeling like I needed something different, I took a leap and went to meet her.I didn’t think I’d be blown away, just figured I’d meet someone a bit unpolished, but when I got there, I was totally taken aback. She was absolutely gorgeous: 5’2″, with baby blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and just the right curves in all the right places.

I had never gone out with a Christian girl before, but I found it pretty interesting. As we cruised to dinner, I sparked up a cigarette and casually asked if she wanted one too.“Oh, heavens no,” she said, “What would I even tell my Sunday school kids?”

That makes sense, I figured. Some folks light up, while others pass on it.So, at the restaurant, I went for the steak, she chose the lobster, and I asked for the second priciest bottle of wine on the menu. When the wine showed up, she passed on a glass.

‘Disgusting!’: Biden Slammed By Both Sides For Last-Minute Decision

The hosts of Fox & Friends Weekend voiced their apprehension regarding President Joe Biden’s recent decision to commute the sentence of a judge linked to the infamous “kids for cash” scandal. Michael T. Conahan, a former judge from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, was one of the 1,500 individuals whose sentences were commuted by Biden this week. In addition, the president issued 39 pardons to non-violent offenders.

Conahan has attracted significant attention due to his pivotal involvement in the “kids for cash” scheme, where he accepted kickbacks from private prisons in return for sentencing juveniles to detention facilities. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D) condemned President Biden’s decision concerning Conahan, asserting at a recent event that Biden was “absolutely wrong” in this instance. The White House indicated that Conahan qualified for sentence commutation based on his home confinement status during the COVID pandemic. Convicted in 2011 and originally sentenced to over 17 years in prison, Conahan is now a free man.

On Fox News Saturday morning, columnist Salena Zito discussed Conahan’s actions with Will Cain, characterizing the situation as a “profound scandal” in Pennsylvania. Zito emphasized the tragic repercussions of Conahan’s misconduct, including the heartbreaking suicide of a young man who had been sentenced to a juvenile detention center as part of his scheme.

Zito remarked, “This had a devastating impact on families.” Sandy Fonzo, the mother of a young man who tragically took his own life, expressed in a statement regarding President Biden’s actions, “Conahan’s actions destroyed families, including mine, and my son’s death serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the repercussions of his abuse of power.”

In a cozy beauty parlor, three women find themselves deep in conversation, bonding over their shared experiences as wives. They chat about life, relationships, and, most notably, their husbands. The dialogue starts lighthearted but soon shifts into stories of suspicion and mistrust, setting the stage for a humorous and unexpected twist.

The first woman sighs and begins sharing her frustration. “Last night, my husband told me he was going to his office,” she confesses. “But when I called, they said he wasn’t there!” Her disappointment is evident, and the other two women listen with sympathetic nods. Her story is one that resonates—a tale of a husband whose words and actions don’t quite align, leaving her feeling doubtful about his whereabouts and honesty.

The second woman quickly chimes in, shaking her head. “That sounds all too familiar,” she says. “My husband told me he was heading over to his brother’s house, but when I called to check, guess what? He wasn’t there either!” This shared experience deepens the bond between the first two women, highlighting the challenges they face in trusting their partners. Their stories carry a relatable undercurrent of frustration that many married individuals might recognize: the uneasy feeling of not knowing whether to trust someone you deeply care about.

Then, the third woman, who has been quietly listening, surprises the group. With a confident smile, she declares, “I always know exactly where my husband is.” Her calm demeanor and bold statement leave the other two women stunned. They exchange incredulous looks, clearly skeptical. “That’s impossible!” they exclaim. “He must have you completely fooled!”

Court Rules US Can Deport Illegals Despite Objections

A local executive order from 2019 that attempted to contradict President Trump’s immigration policies was overturned by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. By preventing deportations at King County International Airport, also known as Boeing Field, the court ruled that King County, Washington, had breached its agreement.

The court ruled that the order was unlawful because it targeted federal procedures and was unjust to ICE. The local county attempted to halt Trump’s operations in 2019 when he used Boeing Fields to deport individuals who were in the country illegally.

The order forced ICE to begin using a Yakima, Washington, airport for the deportation aircraft. The drive from ICE’s Northwest detention facility was significantly longer.

Because of the increased distance between the airport and the ICE detention facilities, the relocation resulted in higher operating costs. According to the ruling, it also raised security concerns.

News Anchor Covering LA Fires Sparks Outrage After Viewers Spot Small Detail

ABC’s World News Tonight anchor David Muir is catching heat online for a fashion detail that some TV viewers couldn’t help but notice during his live coverage of the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles.

Muir, a Syracuse native, reported from California on the scene of the deadly fires that have forced thousands of residents to flee their homes. The flames, fueled by powerful winds, have already claimed at least five lives, according to the Associated Press. Landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, and the iconic Hollywood Bowl are reportedly at risk as the fires continue to spread.

However, it wasn’t just the fires that had people talking. During a live broadcast on Wednesday, viewers spotted an unusual detail: two wooden clothespins appeared to be holding the back of Muir’s yellow, flame-retardant jacket in place.

The unexpected sight didn’t sit well with some social media users, including Los Angeles resident and reality TV personality Jack Osbourne, son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.

“Nice jacket, bro. Glad you look nice and svelte with those clothesline pegs while our city burns to the ground,” Osbourne captioned on X (formerly Twitter).

Others online criticized Muir, accusing him of prioritizing his appearance over the gravity of the situation he was covering. Some labeled the moment “pathetic” and “narcissistic,” questioning why a journalist would be concerned about how his coat fit while reporting on a tragedy.

But according to the New York Post, there’s a more practical explanation for the clothespins. The publication reported that using pins or clamps is a common trick in TV broadcasting to adjust clothing when there’s no time for tailoring.

A source familiar with the situation told Mediate that the pins were used to combat high winds during the live broadcast — and it wasn’t Muir’s request.

“This was 30 seconds before air. A producer came in to fix the coat in the wind,” the insider said. “This had nothing to do with David Muir asking for anything.”

The Los Angeles wildfires have been fueled by wind gusts nearing 100 mph, according to the Los Angeles Times. These dangerous conditions have caused the fires to spread rapidly through communities like Pacific Palisades, with over 130,000 residents under evacuation orders. As of Thursday, the fires had scorched approximately 42 square miles of land.

Muir later appeared on World News Tonight without the clothespins in follow-up segments, where the wind had calmed down.

Known for his polished and professional reporting style, Muir has been the anchor of ABC’s World News Tonight since 2014, taking over for Diane Sawyer. Under his leadership, the program has been the most-watched evening newscast for seven consecutive years.

Despite the online backlash, Muir’s career has been marked by his dedication to journalism. The Syracuse native often credits his Upstate New York roots for shaping his perspective.

“I’m no different from the intern in Syracuse who became the rookie reporter in Syracuse,” Muir told syracuse.com in 2016. “The sensibilities of having grown up in Upstate New York — the hopes, fears, and concerns of the people there — are reflected all over the country. That still drives me to this day.”

As wildfires continue to wreak havoc in California, Muir remains focused on delivering the news — clothespins or not.

Carer fulfills dying woman’s last wish with song

joshua maria

We all get old and die eventually.

I’m not especially scared of dying, I think it’s something beautiful and natural. On the other hand, I’m terrified of getting old and not being able to look after myself.

To be completely dependent on someone else, not be able to go to the bathroom on your own or remember your childrens’ names. That’s no kind of life.

Maria was living out her final days in a care facility. And she knew that she didn’t have long left to live.

Maria had been a singing and piano teacher her whole life and missed being surrounded by music.

But she was in luck, because one of her old students worked at her care home in Austinburg, Ohio.

Joshua Woodard had been taught by her from when he was 9 years old, so they knew each other well.

Maria’s greatest wish was to hear the song ”How great thou art” before she died.

Of course, Joshua was eager to fulfill Maria’s final wish.

With the song lyrics on his phone, he sang a heartfelt rendition of Maria’s favorite song.

Even sweeter, it turns out that Joshua had known Mary since he was just 9-years-old.

“Hospice workers are angels but this hospice aide is special,” said Marti Adkins Redmond.

“Mary taught voice and piano in her day and this aide Joshua Woodard was one of her students as a kid. Special people hospice workers are!

Maria’s sister-in-law managed to capture the emotional moment on film:

Sadly Maria is no longer with us, which makes this whole clip even more moving.

Make sure you share this beautiful clip with all your friends on Facebook to honour all the staff working tirelessly to take care of our elderly loved ones.

Kamala Harris Faces Backlash Over Alleged Trump Snub at Jimmy Carter’s Funeral

The recent Jimmy Carter’s funeral became a controversial talking point after Vice President Kamala Harris shared a social media post that appeared to exclude former President Donald Trump. The solemn event brought together five current and former U.S. presidents—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Trump—to honor the late President Carter.

However, the backlash swiftly grew when the photo Harris posted showed every living president except Trump, sparking heated responses across news outlets and social platforms.

Some political observers suggest the omission might have been unintentional, while others argue it could be a deliberate snub. Critics point to the longstanding political tensions between the Biden administration and Trump’s camp as a possible reason behind the photo’s conspicuous cropping.

Many supporters of Trump voiced their disapproval, accusing Harris of disrespecting the office of the presidency and politicizing a moment meant to remember President Carter’s legacy.

Harris’s team quickly responded, explaining that multiple photos were taken throughout the day, and the particular picture shared was never intended to spark controversy.

Despite this defense, the incident has continued to generate robust debate, with some calling for clearer transparency in all official White House communications. According to CNN, this case highlights how even solemn gatherings can become entangled in partisan disputes when shared across social media.

As conversations continue online, many hope the attention can shift back to Jimmy Carter’s extraordinary life and legacy, rather than a single snapshot. Whether the omission was accidental or deliberate remains a matter of intense debate. For now, the incident serves as a reminder of how rapidly political controversies can unfold in the public eye, especially when they involve America’s most prominent leaders.

Photo Trump Uses To Promote New Product Sparks Outrage

Former President Donald Trump has unveiled his latest business venture: a high-end fragrance line branded “Fight, Fight, Fight,” which he announced on his Truth Social platform. In a surprising twist, the promotional image features Trump seated beside First Lady Jill Biden, accompanied by the tagline, “A fragrance your enemies can’t resist!”

trump2

The line features a $199 cologne for men and a $199 perfume for women. Customers can also take advantage of a bundle deal, with a 50% discount on the second fragrance when purchased together. The fragrances can be purchased exclusively on the official website, GetTrumpFragrances.com.

The attention-grabbing promotional photo was taken during a global event on December 7, when Trump and Jill Biden were seen at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The occasion marked five years since the historic cathedral endured a devastating fire that destroyed its iconic spire. The image captures Trump and Biden deep in conversation, separated by an empty chair reserved for French First Lady Brigitte Macron.

trump3

The White House has not commented on the use of the photo for Trump’s fragrance campaign.

The “Fight, Fight, Fight” fragrance line is the latest addition to Trump’s portfolio of branded merchandise, which has included luxury watches and collectible silver coins in recent months. Trump emphasized the appeal of the new fragrances in a statement on his social media platform, calling them “perfect Christmas gifts for the family.”

trump4

“I call them Fight, Fight, Fight because they represent us WINNING,” he wrote, leaning into his signature rhetoric.

While the website doesn’t provide specific descriptions of the scents, it promises that each fragrance embodies “the essence of success and determination,” highlighting themes of strength and victory.

Interestingly, proceeds from the fragrances will not be directed toward Trump’s political endeavors. The official site clarifies that the product is unaffiliated with any campaign or political activity.

The fragrances, designed by CIC Ventures, are part of the same portfolio that includes Trump-branded sneakers featuring gold high tops adorned with American flag designs. Like his sneakers, the fragrances are marketed as nonrefundable and are not directly created, manufactured, or distributed by Trump or the Trump Organization.

trump5

As expected, the announcement has sparked significant buzz, with supporters praising Trump’s entrepreneurial efforts and critics questioning the marketing strategy. But love him or hate him, Trump’s ability to command attention and tie his brand to bold symbolism remains as sharp as ever.

Will “Fight, Fight, Fight” become the next must-have luxury item, or is it destined to become another polarizing chapter in Trump’s storied business history? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

A year later, Cates was auditioning for a role in “The Big Chill” when she met Kevin Kline. While she didn’t get the part, she did find a partner in Kline.

Their relationship didn’t turn into something serious until two years later when they met again at the New York Public Theater. Kline reportedly asked Cates’ former assistant to get him a date with her.

Even then, however, their compatibility seemed questionable. She was a true New Yorker – bold, daring, and fun. She was a high-school dropout who chose to model and act and the daughter of a Broadway producer.

Meanwhile, Kline was a Tony Award-winning actor from Juilliard with a liking for more serious things in life – like Shakespeare. “She’s too happy to be with me,” Kline once admitted.

He wondered what they’d ever talk about since Cates was so enthusiastic while he was a lot more serious. Ultimately, they did find things to talk about.

Kline and Cates got married in 1989 and have been together since. For the first few years of their marriage, she continued to act, including on the hit comedy fantasy film “Drop Dead Fred.” After having kids, however, things changed.

Kline is 16 years Cates’ senior, but that didn’t stop them from having a healthy, happy relationship. In fact, they found a lot to talk about and had much in common.

In 1991, Cates gave birth to their first child, Owen Joseph. Their daughter Greta Simone was born three years later, in 1994.

Following the birth of their children, Cates decided to take a break from acting to focus on her young family. She had an agreement with Kline that they’d never be out working at the same time so that one parent would always be home with their children.

Ultimately, Cates chose to stay with their children. She only made an exception in 2001, when her “Fast Times” co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh asked her to appear in “The Anniversary Party.”

Even then, Cates brought along the entire family. Owen and Greta appeared alongside Cates and Kline in the film, co-written and co-directed by Leigh.

Despite decades together, Cates and Kline didn’t have the most conventional start to their partnership. In fact, the actress admitted to her husband that before they met, she thought he was gay.

Speaking about it, Kline said, “Before I met Phoebe, she’d seen me in ‘Sophie’s Choice.’ And when we first started dating, she said, ‘You know, I’d sort of assumed you were gay.’”

When he asked her why, she said it was because he was a theatre actor and that he always seemed so clean. “And you really used your hands a lot on that movie,” she added.

Now that they’ve been married for over thirty years, Cates has no regrets about choosing the simple life over Hollywood. While she admits not everyone will be okay with her decision, she loves it.

Cates also noted how she never hired any help at home, aside from a housekeeper who comes in to clean their house every so often. Other than that, Cates takes kitchen duties seriously and cooks dinner for her family every night.

The apples don’t fall far from the tree – that’s what the Kline family has proven with their talented children. Owen is an actor-director, while Greta is a musician.

Owen has worked on several films through the years, including “Squid and the Whale” and “Funny Pages.” Meanwhile, Greta has worked on “The Squid and the Whale” and “The Surface.”

Other than the films she’s worked on, Greta, who goes by the stage name Frankie Combos is also responsible for songs on the soundtracks for “Hilda” and “Animals.”

After quietly leaving Hollywood, Cates kept a low profile throughout the years. Her family remains based in Manhattan, where Kline works.

To keep herself busy and for her passion to keep flowing, Cates started the store “Blue Tree” in 2005, which is a general store filled with all the things she considered to be part of her style.

Beginning in Carnegie Hill, the store is followed by people from all over the world for its eclectic women’s clothing collections and jewelry. The store also carries gift items in the form of homeware, music, fragrance, and delicacies. Now, people from all over the world can shop through their online store.

To adapt to modern times, Cates has used Instagram to connect with her clients. She makes fun and interactive reels to market her products, which have been well-received by her audience.

In one rare Instagram reel, Cates modeled a couple of outfits herself. From wearing a casual outfit featuring a striped shirt, an oversized cardigan, and a pair of black trousers, she playfully jumps into an entirely new outfit featuring clothes from the latest Blue Tree collection.

The reel is meant to show their newly renovated store space. In the first clip, Cates stood inside a bare store space that was under renovation, while the second clip showed her in her newly opened Blue Tree boutique.

On some occasions, she asks her daughter Greta to model for the brand. In one recent photo, Greta sported a bright blue colored cardigan, which many internet users raved about.

Whenever given the opportunity, Phoebe Cates still occasionally goes back to her Hollywood roots by attending red-carpet premieres. She also enjoys watching the NBA with her husband and has done this through the years, supporting the New York Knicks.

As for how they’ve managed to keep their marriage strong through the decades, Kline said their secret has always been to prioritize it. They choose not to separate for long periods of time and take care of it as best as they can.

Kamala Harris Shares Photo Of Carter Funeral, Sparks Outrage After People Notice Small Detail

A tribute photo shared by Vice President Kamala Harris honoring the late President Jimmy Carter has drawn significant attention online — not for what it included, but for what it left out.

The image, posted to Harris’ official social media accounts over the weekend, shows her standing alongside President Joe Biden and former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. The group is seen solemnly placing their hands over their hearts during the funeral service at Washington National Cathedral.

But noticeably missing from the post? Former President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, who also attended the funeral and were seated next to the Obamas during the service. The cropped photo quickly sparked conversation across social media, with many speculating whether the omission was intentional.

“President Jimmy Carter loved our country. He lived his faith, served the people, and left the world better than he found it,” Harris wrote. “President Carter’s many contributions will echo for generations to come.”

While Harris made no mention of Trump in her post, users on Instagram were quick to spot his absence.

“Best photo crop of the decade,” one commenter wrote, referencing the edit.

“I immediately laughed when I saw this image. I love a good cropped photo,” another user chimed in.

Adding to the controversy, the Carter Center — the charitable organization founded by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter in 1982 — also shared a series of funeral photos on X (formerly Twitter) that did not feature the Trumps, despite both attending the service.

The omission has sparked debate over whether it was a simple oversight or a deliberate decision, especially given the contentious political rivalry between Trump and Harris. The two faced off in the 2024 election, with Harris running as Biden’s vice president against Trump in his third presidential bid.

The funeral service, held last Thursday, was attended by all five living former U.S. presidents — Biden, Trump, Clinton, Bush, and Obama — as well as several former vice presidents. Notable attendees included Mike Pence and incoming Vice President JD Vance.

First lady Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff were also present, along with several former first ladies. However, one absence that raised eyebrows was Michelle Obama, whose office did not provide an explanation for why she did not attend.

While the focus of the day was meant to honor the legacy of Jimmy Carter, the controversy surrounding Harris’ post has shifted the conversation online — proving that even in moments of unity, politics can’t stay out of the spotlight.

Do You Remember this legendary Dance from the 1950s? It brings strong memories

“The Stroll” may be a familiar name to anyone who lived during the late 1950s. American Bandstand was the birthplace of this iconic dance number, which shot to fame. The beauty of it was in its accessibility; anyone could participate.

The dance called for the males and girls to form an aisle separated by a line. Each pair would take turns walking down the line, with the leading lad and girl meeting in the center. Everyone was enthralled by the ensuing synchronized routine.

If you want to see this famous dance in action, here’s a clip from an Idaho dance program that aired in February 1958. A lot of people’s happiness and excitement for “The Stroll” are shown in this video. Feel the joy and excitement as the happy couple walks down the aisle.

The original “Stroll” from the 1950s has a certain allure, even though dances and times have changed. It is a dance worth remembering because of its simplicity and the purity of that age. Even if there are modern group line dance renditions of “The Stroll,” nothing beats the timeless allure of the original. Watch below:

Seeing a Wire Tied Around a Car Door Handle: What It Could Mean

Have you ever walked up to your car and noticed a piece of string tied around the door handle? If you have, you’re not alone. In recent times, this peculiar phenomenon has caught the attention of many, leaving people wondering about its significance.

It all started with a TikToker named Shannon, who was simply going about her day, shopping at a local store. As she returned to her car in the parking lot, she noticed something unusual. There, on the driver’s side door of another vehicle, was a piece of string – not the kind you’d expect, but more like the ribbon you’d find on a birthday gift. What’s more, she saw it again on another car door, not just once, but twice.

Naturally, Shannon’s discovery left her intrigued and a bit alarmed. She took to TikTok to share her experience, which quickly gained attention. Viewers were divided in their interpretations of this bizarre occurrence. Some were quick to assume the worst, suggesting that the string on a driver’s side door handle was a sign of a potential kidnapping attempt. Others were more skeptical, believing it might just be a strange coincidence. This incident left people perplexed and concerned about their own safety.

Enter Reese, another TikToker, who took it upon himself to explain the possible motive behind using string or wire on car door handles. According to Reese, the reason perpetrators might use wire is that it can create a distraction that lasts longer. Even if you have wire cutters, it would still take a minute to remove it. This extra time could provide the kidnapper with the opportunity they need. While this explanation might sound plausible, it’s essential to remember that these are just speculations.

Will she be at the inauguration? Michelle Obama makes a decision after skipping Jimmy Carter’s funeral

Michelle Obama will not attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, following her absence from President Jimmy Carter’s funeral earlier this week. The former First Lady has kept a low public profile since the death of her mother in May.

Sources suggest her decision is deliberate, as she is known for being selective about her public appearances. In contrast, her husband, former President Barack Obama, will be present at the inauguration. Despite their tense past with Trump, Obama’s attendance highlights his commitment to fulfilling ceremonial duties.

Trouble in heaven? Barack and Michelle Obama spark speculation they are ‘heading for divorce’

Rumors of a divorce between Barack and Michelle Obama have surfaced, fueled by Michelle’s absence from recent events, including Donald Trump’s inauguration and Jimmy Carter’s funeral, citing a “scheduling conflict.”

The announcement of Michelle skipping Trump’s inauguration has sparked speculation about the couple’s relationship, with social media users on X sharing theories. Some believe the absences signal marital issues, while others argue they are political statements rather than personal matters.

The Obamas, married since 1992, have been a prominent power couple since their meeting in 1989. While speculation continues, there is no confirmation of any marital problems.

Fans remain divided, with some dismissing the rumors as baseless and others suggesting a potential shift in their dynamic.

GOP-Led J6 Investigation To Be Its Own Committee This Congress

Georgia GOP Rep. Barry Loudermilk left with assurances that his probe into the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol will be formally established as a new committee after he posed with House Speaker Mike Johnson for a photo to commemorate the beginning of the next Congress.

The action makes the Republican Party’s attempt to change the story of January 6 a recurring theme in its investigational agenda. Now that the GOP will control both chambers of Capitol Hill and the White House, it is part of a larger effort by Republicans to carry out a number of GOP-led investigations from the previous Congress.

Loudermilk told CNN that while the specifics of the new committee are still being worked out, one possibility is to design it so that Johnson has more authority over the selection of panel members and the course of the committee’s work.

The Republican attempts to shield President-elect Donald Trump from responsibility for the January 6 violence remain prominent, as evidenced by the creation of a new committee to highlight Loudermilk’s work, which included a report suggesting the FBI prosecute GOP former Rep. Liz Cheney. Read more below

Tragic Update After 11-Year-Old Girl Goes Missing On Her Way to School

In a tragic turn of events, Audrii Cunningham, the missing 11-year-old girl from Texas, was discovered lifeless on Tuesday afternoon. Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons, in a somber Tuesday press conference, confirmed that Audrii’s body was found in the Trinity River near the US Highway 59 bridge in Livingston.

Sheriff Lyons, visibly affected by the grim discovery, pledged to relentlessly process the evidence gathered to ensure justice for Audrii. Polk County District Attorney Shelly Sitton revealed that arrest warrants are being prepared for Don Steven McDougal, 42, in connection with Audrii’s disappearance, with the potential for capital murder charges.

McDougal’s arrest on Friday, on unrelated charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, raised suspicions as investigators sought his cooperation in Audrii’s disappearance. Lt. Craig Cummings, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety in Southeast Texas, emphasized that McDougal, who was likely the last person to see Audrii, had been given several opportunities to cooperate.

During a Monday press conference, Sheriff Lyons expressed concern about public speculation, urging people not to hastily draw conclusions. The 11-year-old should have boarded her school bus on the morning of Feb. 15 but never made it, prompting a series of investigations that led to this tragic discovery.

McDougal, residing in a camper behind Audrii’s residence, was known to occasionally take her to the bus stop or even to school when she missed the bus, as revealed by Audrii’s mother, Cassie Matthews.

Efforts are underway to piece together McDougal’s movements on the critical morning of Feb. 15, with Lyons revealing that McDougal has agreed to show investigators certain locations after his arrest.

The gravity of the situation prompted a statewide Amber Alert on Feb. 16, intensifying the search for Audrii. Lyons later acknowledged the likelihood that a backpack found in a wooded area near the Livingston Dam belonged to the young girl, adding another layer to the ongoing investigation.

McDougal’s extensive criminal history, spanning back to the early 2000s, includes charges ranging from child enticement to assault of a family member and evading arrest. As investigators delve into his past, they appeal to the public to submit any video footage of FM 3126 in Polk County between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 15, hoping to glean crucial insights into the unfolding tragedy.

The community mourns the loss of Audrii Cunningham, and as authorities delve deeper into the investigation, they seek support from the public to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.

WATCH: Pam Bondi Confronts Adam Schiff During Hearing, Highlights His Prior Censure

What started as a routine confirmation hearing quickly turned into a fiery exchange when Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi clashed with Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), highlighting his prior censure by Congress. The former Florida Attorney General faced pointed questions from Schiff about her stance on hypothetical cases and her approach to presidential pardons, leading to a tense back-and-forth.

Schiff pressed Bondi early on, asking, “Will it be your advice to the President: ‘No, Mr. President. I need to review them on a case-by-case basis. Do not issue blanket pardons.’ Will that be your advice?” Bondi responded firmly, “Senator, I have not reviewed any of those files. If confirmed, I will evaluate the files for the pardons as well as the ongoing investigations.”

The exchange escalated as Schiff questioned whether Bondi could handle the workload. “And will you be able to review hundreds of cases on day one?” he asked. Bondi countered, “I will review every file I’m tasked with. I’m not going to mislead this body, nor you.” The tension peaked when Bondi brought up Schiff’s prior censure by Congress, stating, “You were censured by Congress, Senator, for comments like this that are so reckless!”

WATCH:

What began as a standard confirmation hearing quickly escalated into a heated exchange as Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi clashed with Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), highlighting his prior congressional censure. Schiff’s questions, focused on hypothetical cases and the handling of presidential pardons, became increasingly tense as the hearing progressed.

Schiff pressed Bondi on whether she would advise the President against issuing blanket pardons. “Will it be your advice to the President: ‘No, Mr. President. I need to review them case-by-case’?” he asked. Bondi responded, “Senator, I have not reviewed any of those files. If confirmed, I will thoroughly evaluate the files related to pardons and ongoing investigations.”

The tension grew as Schiff questioned Bondi’s ability to manage the workload. “And will you be able to review hundreds of cases on day one?” he challenged. Bondi firmly replied, “I will review every file I’m tasked with. I’m not going to mislead this body—or you.” The exchange took a sharp turn when Bondi referenced Schiff’s censure, stating, “You were censured by Congress for comments like this—so reckless!” The pointed remark visibly struck a nerve.

The confrontation intensified when Schiff shifted focus to allegations involving former Rep. Liz Cheney. Cheney faces claims of witness tampering related to her work on the January 6 Committee. A GOP-led subcommittee alleged she secretly communicated with witness Cassidy Hutchinson using encrypted apps, bypassing her attorney. The panel has recommended an FBI investigation, though Cheney denies the accusations, labeling them politically motivated and aimed at protecting Donald Trump. The FBI has not confirmed if it will pursue the case.

Schiff pressed Bondi further, asking, “Are you aware of any factual basis to investigate Liz Cheney?” Bondi countered, “Senator, no one has asked me to investigate Liz Cheney. That is a hypothetical.” She then shifted the focus to California’s crime rate, adding, “The crime rate in California is through the roof. Robberies are 87% higher than the national average. That’s where I want to focus if confirmed as Attorney General.”

Bondi’s assertive responses and refusal to be cornered by Schiff’s line of questioning earned praise from Republican senators in attendance. The hearing highlighted Bondi’s combative approach and her willingness to challenge Democratic critics directly—qualities her supporters argue are crucial for the role of Attorney General.

Trump Planning To Sign More Than 100 Executive Orders On Day One

According to Republican lawmakers briefed on his agenda, President-elect Donald Trump, true to his word on the campaign trail, plans to sign dozens of executive orders shortly after his inauguration.

During a Thursday appearance on “Fox and Friends,” Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) shared that Trump outlined his plans for executive orders to tackle important issues such as border security and energy policy

The president was very clear, he just wants results,” Mullin said when asked about the ongoing budget negotiations on Capital Hill. “He also talked about his executive orders. He says, you know, he has almost 100 executive orders that will go a long way to securing the border again.

“And also put the energy sector back in play, and actually a ‘drill baby drill’ process where we become energy independent again. And all that can be done through executive orders. But as he said, it’s not permanent,” Mullin continued, noting that the GOP-led Congress would have to codify many of the president’s orders into law so they couldn’t be easily overturned by a future administration.

He threw that out — 100 — there could be like 100 EOs, yeah. I believe him,” Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) told The Hill, echoing Mullin’s claims.

The Associated Press  also claimed that Trump is readying more than 100 executive orders beginning day one, and had informed GOP senators during the meeting. “There will be a substantial number,” Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., noted according to the outlet.

The incoming president indicated that many of the planned executive orders would focus on addressing illegal immigration, Cramer noted. Stephen Miller, a senior advisor to Trump with significant influence over immigration policy, also participated in the two-hour meeting. He outlined several immigration-related executive orders set to take effect immediately upon the administration taking office.

Trump also ripped President Joe Biden for issuing a flurry of his own orders on his way out the door.

“Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these ‘Orders’ will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!” Trump declared in a post on Truth Social last week.

Trump is widely expected to reinstate Title 42 policies, which enable the federal government to take emergency measures, including actions to “prevent the introduction of communicable diseases.” Although the policy has existed for decades, the Trump administration extensively utilized it during the COVID-19 pandemic as a means to curb illegal immigration. Under this policy, border agents were authorized to turn away prospective asylum seekers to limit the spread of infectious diseases.

On the border front, President-elect Trump plans to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy, which required asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claims were processed. In contrast, the Biden administration has adopted a “catch and release” approach, allowing individuals who enter the country illegally to be released and often transported to destinations of their choice within the U.S. interior.

Since Joe Biden took office in 2021, 77 percent of asylum seekers have been permitted to remain in the United States.

Trump is reportedly planning several executive orders aimed at rapidly boosting U.S. energy production. The president-elect has consistently pledged to reinstate the Keystone XL oil pipeline project between the United States and Canada, which was canceled under President Biden’s administration, though the project has been defunct now for the past three years and will likely face litigation from left-wing environmental organizations again.
