Actor Tom Hanks Gets Huge Backlash After Mocking Trump Voters On ‘SNL’

0

Far-left actor Tom Hanks has angered a huge swath of the country following his portrayal of a “typical white male Trump voter” as “racist” during the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live” last week.

The “Forrest Gump” star reprised his role as Doug, a clueless individual wearing a Make America Great Again hat and an American Eagle shirt.

During one segment of the “Black Jeopardy” skit, Hanks appeared very reluctant to shake the hand of Kenan Thompson’s character, Darnell Hayes, who is Black.

The backlash on social media was immediate.

“This show wonders why their ratings are in the gutter,” former Robert F. Kennedy Jr. aide Link Lauren wrote on X. “Trump won the popular vote. This tired trope that MAGA is racist is disgusting. SNL is an unfunny show for snobbish liberal elites.”

Another X user wrote, “SNL’s desperate attempt to smear Trump supporters as racist is tired and pathetic. Maybe if they focused on being funny instead of pushing an agenda, they wouldn’t be tanking in ratings.”

Another user said, “I used to have so much respect for @tomhanks as an actor. Now, I can’t bear to watch any of his movies- even from the 80s. I just cannot accept how he can disrespect half the country. Tom, you should have stayed neutral and just entertained because you established yourself as an entertainer.”

“Tom Hanks just came out on the SNL 50th anniversary special in a MAGA hat, doing a skit, where he acted like he didn’t want to shake a black man’s hand,” one wrote on X. “This is why SNL is in the toilet.”

“It was a great skit until Tom Hanks showed up,” said one critic, while another claimed it’s “also why his career is tanking.”

“No one in the audience laughs as Tom Hanks appears on SNL as a racist Trump supporter that refuses to shake hands with a black man,” added another.

“It was rather disgusting,” one wrote. “What a tool. What a disgrace @nbcsnl to decide to exclude an audience of millions who grew up watching your programming.”

No doubt the skit was risky given Trump’s enduring popularity and approval throughout the country.

Trump has recorded at least 50 percent approval ratings in three recent surveys, Newsweek reported, adding that the “surveys suggest that most Americans approve of the job the president is doing, despite other polls indicating that Trump’s favorability ratings have declined since his first few days back in office.”

A SurveyUSA poll of 2,000 adults found that a majority (51 percent) approve of Trump’s job as president, while 45 percent disapprove, giving him a net approval score of +6 points.

When analyzed by region, the results reveal that Trump enjoys stronger approval in rural areas (59 percent) compared to suburban (48 percent) and urban areas (51 percent).

A separate Morning Consult poll, also released on Tuesday, showed that 50 percent of voters approve of Trump’s job as president, while 47 percent disapprove, Newsweek’s report continued.

Eli Yokley, U.S. politics analyst for Morning Consult, and Cameron Easley, head of U.S. political analysis, noted in their analysis that Trump’s approval rating has “stabilized” after three consecutive weeks of decline.

Additionally, a recent survey from a Republican polling firm indicated that Trump maintains a strong approval rating.

The Napolitan News survey, conducted by Scott Rasmussen and RMG Research, showed Trump’s approval at 55 percent, with a disapproval rating of 43 percent, giving him a net approval score of +12 points, Newsweek added.

13 Stories That Prove the Road of Kindness Isn’t Always Full of Flowers

0

Kindness brings warmth and appreciation, but reality doesn’t happen as that expectation. Sometimes, the stories exist the unexpected challenges of trying to do the right thing. However, kindness always appears because it makes the world a little better.

Story 1:

A guy snatched the purse of a very pregnant woman and took off running. Without thinking, I sprinted after him for 2 blocks and caught up. I returned the purse to the woman.

But instead of thanking me, she started screaming and shouting at me and said, ”Are you stupid or are you blind? He also pulled off my diamond necklace! Why didn’t you bring that too?”

I was already out of breath, but her reaction left me completely stunned. I just stared at her, speechless. Without another word, she slung her purse over her shoulder, turned away, and walked off without looking back.

For a long time, I regretted helping her. But now, I take comfort in knowing that at least I stopped a thief that day. Maybe, just maybe, he thought twice before stealing again.

Story 2:

When I was in college, we had to do a software development assignment. This was for an electronics engineering degree, and most people weren’t that interested in writing software. I loved doing that stuff, though, and was good at it.

So, I ended up doing the assignments for six different students in class. I changed them all slightly so it didn’t look like they were just copies.

I ended up with the worst mark on my own assignment. The other six students who handed in my assignment all got better marks than me. The professor said that he marked me down because it was obvious that I’d copied someone else’s assignment. © saugoof / Reddit

Story 4:

This middle-aged lady asked me for directions while I waited for the bus, and as I pulled out Google Maps, the bus we both needed to get on drove by, stopped for a sec, and then sped off without us. It was a weekend, so the next bus wasn’t for an hour and a half… I ended up walking twenty minutes to the subway in the cold. © ponponponzu / Reddit

I typically don’t do the whole Black Friday thing because of the crowds. But one year, I was feeling particularly bad for all the retail workers who had to work it.

So, my brother and I had this idea that we would make little goodie bags with candy in them, go out to an area of town we knew would have a huge turnout (a shopping center with a Walmart, Target, and several clothing chains), and hand the bags out to the employees working.

Turns out, it’s very much against store policies for them to take things like that from customers. © badw0lfbae / Reddit

Story 8:

When I was in high school, I passed a house with a little puppy out front. After a few minutes, I felt something run into the back of my legs, and it was the puppy. So, I picked it up and brought it back to the house. I said, “Excuse me, your dog was following me down the road. Here he is,” and handed him back to her.

She looked at me and said, “Do you make a habit of walking onto people’s property without permission?”—because I had walked up her driveway to give her the dog back. © Pied_piper_of_Canada / Reddit

A lady with a cane and I were crossing a busy intersection during a rainstorm. I offered to cover her with part of my umbrella so she wouldn’t get soaked. Instead, she grabbed the umbrella and walked away with it—cane in one hand and umbrella in the other. © Unknown author / Reddit

Story 11:

There is a homeless woman who stays in my neighborhood often. I saw her sitting on a bench on a freezing cold day sometime after Christmas. (As a teacher, this is a time I often get 20 Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards.) I never go to Dunkin’, and I had a $25 gift card.

I pulled over my car in the snow and walked over to her, wanting to give her the gift card because it was freezing, and Dunkin’ was up the block. I figured as a customer, she could get a hot drink and stay warm inside for a while.

I briefly introduced myself and asked for her name. Then I handed her the card with a smile and said, “I have an extra one of these. Dunkin’ is up the road—you should go warm up; it’s a cold day.” She looked at me… took the card… threw it on the floor… and stomped it in the snow… © Unknown author / Reddit

I dated a woman who had a 19-year-old daughter. The daughter was living with a guy who was awful to her. I confronted him to protect her. Well, he broke up with her over it.

Then the mother broke up with me. She said I had no right to interfere. I don’t think I was wrong, and no one is going to change my mind. © SH378 / Reddit

‘Wow’: Users React to Picture Hanging Outside the Oval Office – Photo

0

Eagle-eyed netizens recently noticed an unexpected detail in President Donald Trump’s latest Oval Office redecoration, sparking debate across social media. A framed newspaper cover featuring his Georgia mugshot has drawn mixed reactions, with some finding humor in the display while others criticize it as inappropriate.

During a gathering at the White House, cameras captured the framed image hanging in an office adjacent to the Oval Office, an area often used for meetings and guest entrances. The newspaper cover, from the New York Post, prominently features Trump’s mugshot from his 2023 booking in Georgia. The image immediately went viral, leading to speculation about its purpose. Some believe Trump sees it as a symbol of resilience, using it as motivation as he embarks on his second term.

Social media users were quick to react, with supporters praising the move as bold and humorous. Comments ranged from admiration—”Oh yeah, love it. This should be on a stamp!”—to amusement, with others calling it “epic” and praising Trump’s ability to embrace his legal controversies with a sense of humor. However, not everyone was impressed. Critics questioned why the mugshot was given a place of prominence, with one person writing, “Omg. We live in a time in which we are proud of the things we should be ashamed of.” Others dismissed it as typical behavior, with one remarking, “I would expect nothing less from him.”

Dan Scavino, Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Chief of Staff, shared a video on Valentine’s Day showcasing the redecoration of the Oval Office, including the mugshot. His caption read, “WELCOME TO THE BEAUTIFUL OVAL OFFICE,” highlighting Trump’s changes to the room since taking office again.

The mugshot was originally taken on August 24, 2023, at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of Trump’s legal battles. Instead of shying away from it, he defiantly posted the image on his website the next day, using it as a rallying point for his supporters. The legal troubles led to a 34-count felony indictment, partially related to allegations of hush-money payments from his first campaign. However, in early January 2025, Trump was sentenced to no punishment in the case, allowing him to return to the White House without jail time or fines.

Since reclaiming the presidency, Trump has wasted no time in making his mark on the Oval Office. One of his first changes was reinstating his famous Diet Coke button—a small but well-known feature that allows him to summon his favorite drink with the press of a button. He also added new decorative elements, including a bust of Winston Churchill, an Andrew Jackson vase, and a collection of challenge coins representing different states and agencies. Portraits of his family and even one of himself now have a place in the room, further personalizing his workspace.

A TikTok video posted on January 21, 2025, highlighting these changes quickly gained traction, with netizens reacting to the revamped décor. Some users expressed admiration for the updated space, commenting on how “beautiful” and “fun” the new design looked.

Trump’s FBI Pick Kash Patel Gets Big News After Key Vote

0

Kash Patel’s nomination to lead the FBI took a significant step forward on Tuesday as the Republican-controlled Senate voted to begin formal debate on his confirmation. The vote, which passed along party lines at 48–45, paves the way for Patel to be confirmed later this week. GOP senators expressed confidence that President Donald Trump’s pick has the necessary support and will officially take the helm of the agency following a final vote on Thursday.

The decision to proceed with Patel’s nomination triggers 30 hours of Senate debate before his expected confirmation. Republican lawmakers have hailed the 44-year-old nominee from Long Island, highlighting his extensive experience as a prosecutor and national security aide during Trump’s first term. They argue that Patel is committed to refocusing the FBI on its core law enforcement duties and reversing what they describe as the agency’s politicization in recent years.

During his confirmation hearing, Patel outlined ambitious goals for his tenure, vowing to dramatically reduce major crime rates, including cutting “100,000 rapes, 100,000 drug overdoses from Chinese fentanyl and Mexican heroin, and 17,000 homicides” by half. If confirmed, Patel will serve a 10-year term as one of the country’s most powerful law enforcement officials. He has emphasized his support for rank-and-file FBI agents, referring to them as “courageous, apolitical warriors of justice.”

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) underscored the rigorous vetting process Patel has undergone, stating that the nominee has provided over a thousand pages of records, sat through an FBI background investigation, and worked closely with ethics officials to address any potential conflicts of interest. Grassley defended Patel against Democratic criticism, noting that he endured over five hours of questioning in his hearing and submitted 147 pages of written responses to the committee.

“Mr. Patel was instrumental in exposing Crossfire Hurricane,” Grassley said, referring to the FBI’s 2016 investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. “He showed that the Democratic National Committee funded false allegations against President Trump, that the DOJ and FBI hid information from the FISA court to wiretap a presidential campaign, and that an FBI lawyer lied in the process.”

Despite unanimous Republican support, Patel has faced fierce opposition from Senate Democrats. Every Democrat on the Judiciary Committee voted against him, citing concerns over his past actions and questioning his honesty during the confirmation process. They delayed the committee vote by a week, alleging that Patel misled senators about his involvement in the firing of senior FBI officials and his role in producing a controversial song recorded by federal inmates convicted for crimes related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, led the charge against Patel, accusing him of distorting his record. Other Democrats have echoed similar concerns, arguing that Patel played a significant role in Trump’s efforts to overhaul the FBI and questioning his independence from political influence.

However, Patel sought to distance himself from some of Trump’s more controversial positions during his testimony. He made clear that he does not support granting clemency to all January 6 rioters, particularly those who engaged in violence against law enforcement. “I do not agree with the commutation of any sentence of any individual who committed violence against law enforcement,” he stated.

Patel’s career trajectory has been unconventional for an FBI director nominee. He started as a public defender in Florida before transitioning to work as a federal prosecutor during the Obama administration. He later became an aide to former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and served in a national security role during Trump’s first term.

Trump formally announced Patel’s nomination in November, framing it as a critical step in his administration’s broader effort to restore law and order. “Kash will work under our great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to bring back Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity to the FBI,” Trump stated. The former president has positioned Patel as a key figure in his law enforcement agenda, emphasizing plans to combat crime, dismantle migrant criminal gangs, and crack down on human and drug trafficking along the southern border.

With Patel’s confirmation now seemingly inevitable, Republicans view his appointment as a necessary move to overhaul the FBI and end what they call its political weaponization. Democrats, however, remain deeply skeptical, warning that Patel’s close ties to Trump could compromise the agency’s independence.

As the Senate gears up for a final vote, Patel’s confirmation marks another major victory for Trump’s second-term agenda, cementing a key ally in one of the nation’s most powerful law enforcement positions.

BE CAREFUL, if you get these bruises on your body, it means you have…

0

you ever noticed that you bruise easily? You know what we mean. Those black and blue marks that look unsightly, and even after time turns them yellow, they aren’t any prettier. Not only do they look scary, but in some instances they can also be painful. And sometimes they’re a cause for concern because they may mean that you have an underlying medical problem, and it could be serious.

In today’s blog, we’re going to share some of the reasons why bruising occurs and offer some tips to address the issue, hopefully allowing you to prevent future bruising or, figure out why your body is sending you this signal that something might be amiss.

BLOG: Which Deficiencies Can Cause Leg Cramps?

Oh, and here’s a hint about one possible cause: let’s just say you can add bruises as one more potential thing that may result from a lack of  specific vitamins. More to follow on that.

Definition of Bruising

Ecchymosis. That’s the medical term for bruising. It sounds as icky (that’s a non-medical term) as your bruises may look.

A bruise is what happens when small blood vessels burst underneath your skin’s surface, causing the blood to spill out from the capillaries and form a puddle just underneath the skin (as opposed to when you cut yourself and the blood pours out).  There are lots of reasons as to why bruises happen, but some of the medical conditions associated with bruising may not necessarily cause the actual bruise but may make you more vulnerable to bruising.

Bruising also generally occurs when there’s been some acute trauma that’s happened to your skin. You accidentally bumped into your coffee table or walked into a wall or banged your arm against your night table, maybe even while you were sleeping. Or perhaps you’ve had your blood taken and it’s left a bruise, likely because your veins weren’t popping that day.

Whether you remember what happened or not, you’ll remember what a bruise looks like. Generally, a dark mark, like red or black or blue. Over the next several days, you’ll see the colors change, kind of like the trees changing in the fall, but not as pretty. Going to purple or red, then green or yellow means the blood is being reabsorbed by your body and that the bruise is healing, until eventually there’s no tell-tale sign left.

Read more about the changing colors and the timeline of bruises here.

More About Bruises

Usually, the bruises show up on your arms or legs and they are not generally a cause for concern. However, if your bruises show up on your stomach, buttocks, genitals, ears or the back of your hands, or they occur more frequently, or don’t improve and start to change colors within a few days, or if they last longer than two weeks or so, talk to your doctor.

BLOG: Does Vitamin D Deficiency Cause Bruising?

We’ve blogged before about the some of the problems you might encounter if you’re low in some vitamins, such as vitamin D for instance. If you’re not getting enough vitamin D or some of the B vitamins, you may be making yourself more susceptible to bruising.

Here are two more vitamin insufficiencies that could lead to frequent bruises:

Vitamin C Deficiency

When you’re not getting enough vitamin C in your diet, from the foods you eat (e.g., citrus fruit, tomatoes, broccoli, etc.) to the dietary supplements you take, you may be low on this vitamin—especially if you’re a smoker.

Collagen is a protein that keeps your blood vessels healthy; vitamin C helps your body produce collagen. Without enough vitamin C, you may not have enough collagen. Without the right amount of collagen, the more fragile your blood vessels may become—all of which means you’re more likely to bruise easily or more frequently.

Vitamin K Deficiency

Vitamin K may not be the vitamin that’s most top-of-mind. But if you’re vitamin K- deficient, your blood might be slower to clot, leading to too many bruises. Vitamin K also strengthens capillary walls and stronger capillary walls means they’re less likely to break and leave you with bruises.

BLOG: Exploring Symptoms of Vitamin K2 Deficiency

Other Dietary Supplements

Other over-the-counter dietary supplements, in addition to vitamins C, K, D, and some of the Bs, can lead to frequent bruising. Some botanical supplements, including ginkgo, ginseng, ginger and garlic, can act as natural blood thinners. That can be beneficial, but it may also make it more difficult for your blood to clot leading to easier bruising after an acute trauma to your skin (and potential other problems).

Even omega-3 fatty acids, saw palmetto or vitamin E can contribute to bruising, due to their potential effects on blood platelets, says this article.

BLOG: How to Tell if Your Fish Oil Capsules are Rancid

This is where testing for your vitamin and nutrient levels can play an important role. Testing allows you to know your numbers. Once you know them, you can make dietary changes to increase your vitamin intake or make decreases in the amounts you’re taking if you’re higher than optimal range. There are also blood tests for clotting conditions. Talk to your doctor.

Other Possible Causes of Bruising

Medications—If you’re on prescription blood thinners or regularly take aspirin or ibuprofen, your body might have trouble with blood clotting. In addition, steroids can make your skin more fragile and some antibiotics or antidepressants may also be the reason you’re more easily bruising. Aging—you’ve heard of being thin-skinned? In this case, we’re not talking about having your feelings easily hurt. The fact is that as you age, your skin gets thinner as you lose the fatty layer underneath. Aging also causes your blood vessels to weaken. The sun—years of basking in the sun may lead to weakening the walls of your blood vessels which, in turn, makes your skin more susceptible to frequent bruising. Medical conditions—diabetes, blood diseases (e.g., hemophilia) and blood cancers (e.g., leukemia, lymphoma) and iron deficiency anemia may make you more prone to blood vessel damage, blood clotting problems, or inefficient blood circulation. Excessive bruising may also be a sign that you have a serious medical problem like one of these conditions. Contact sports injuries—muscle contusions are the second leading cause of sports injuries (strains, being the first), according to this post. These bruises, which occur in children too, can be caused by a direct blow to the body causing surface skin damage, and possibly to deeper tissue. The term bruise and contusion are pretty much the same thing.

Treatment Options for Frequent or Excessive Bruising

If you’re bruised and it bothers you, try the suggested remedy for inflammation—RICE—not the food. In this case, RICE stands for rest, ice, compression and elevation. Then after a few days, try applying a heating pad to the injured area. The Cleveland Clinic also suggests taking an over-the-counter pain medication, such as acetaminophen (but remember that aspirin or ibuprofen might actually be part of the problem).

If your bruises are a result of falls (especially in the night), make sure your home lighting is sufficient (and turn on the lights if you’re heading to the bathroom and you’re just waking up), avoid floor clutter including those pretty throw rugs that are easy to slip on, and keep your multitude of electrical cords in a tidy fashion (wall plugs, perhaps?).

If you think your bruises are a result of your dietary supplement routine, don’t just be suspicious, find out if you can test to see if your vitamin levels are too low. Learn more about whether your botanical supplements are causing a blood-thinning effect that’s not the right thing for you. Hopefully you have a doctor who is attuned to the potential benefits and issues with dietary supplements.

Especially if you have thin skin, keep an eye on those bruises to be sure that the skin is not breaking as open skin is an invitation for infection to set in. Ask your doctor what protective ointments or creams will be most effective and whether you should bandage the area up.

Most bruises are likely to heal on their own. But if yours are not going away or are happening more than you’d like, asking your doctor to help your figure out what is causing the bruising makes perfect sense. For instance, if you’re bruising because of your diabetes, it’s another reminder to test your glucose levels and manage those levels as best as possible.

If, in fact, your bruises are related to serious medical conditions, you’ll want to know that so you and your doctor can figure out the next steps.

Elon Musk’s dad says Elon “hasn’t been a good father” to his kids

0

Elon Musk’s father has gone on record to concede that his son hasn’t been a good dad to his many children.

In the wake of a right-wing influencer’s claims last week that she had given birth to Elon’s 13th child – this following on from the controversy surrounding the fact that his 4-year-old son accompanied him to the Oval Office – much has been said of the Tesla and Space X founder’s parenting capabilities.

Influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed that Musk was the father to a baby born five months ago, adding that she had wanted to keep their love affair a secret but was forced to reveal her connection to Musk in order to stay ahead of the mainstream media.

Her post on Elon’s own platform, X, read: “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.

“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

Clair has told TMZ that the newly-appointed DOGE boss is dodging her attempts at contact since her decision to come forward with the scoop.

Earlier this month Elon appeared before the press accompanied by his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii (also known as Lil X), in the Oval Office.

And as the business mogul (and world’s richest man) fielded questions on topics including which Gaza the US had shipped $50 million worth of condoms to, his young son was to be seen duly picking his nose and whispering to Donald Trump.

Needless to say, there were many on social media who questioned Musk’s decision to parade the young boy before the eyes of the world. The 4-year-old’s mother, Grimes, seemed to agree, openly criticizing Musk on the platform he owns.

“He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh,” she posted on X.

Last week it was Musk’s father, Errol Musk, who weighed in on his son’s parenting abilities, stating that he doesn’t believe Elon has spent enough time with his kids.

“No, he hasn’t been a good father,” Musk’s father told the Wide Awake podcast. “If Elon hears this, he’s going to shoot me or something.”

Meanwhile, Musk’s estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson that the previously mentioned St. Clair’s claim – that she’d given birth to Musk’s 13th child – marked the second time she’d learned of having another sibling through social media.

Excluding the baby St. Clair claims to have created with Musk, the Tesla founder has 12 children with three other women.

Trump Border Czar Vows Jail Time for FBI Leakers Over ICE Raid Secrets

0

Border czar Tom Homan has issued a stark warning to anyone leaking sensitive information about upcoming ICE operations, claiming that those responsible—if found—will face jail time, lose their jobs and pensions, and be subject to criminal prosecution.

In a fiery statement on Fox News, Homan pointed to leaks implicating FBI involvement as particularly egregious, suggesting that internal sources have compromised crucial intelligence on major ICE raids.

During an appearance on Fox News, Homan accused the FBI of leaking details about a large-scale raid slated for California later this month. “We think it’s coming from inside,”

he said, referring to the confidential information regarding ICE operations in Colorado that recently appeared in media reports. The leaked information, Homan explained, has already jeopardized the safety of ICE agents on the ground by potentially alerting criminals about impending raids.

Fox News Dominates Ratings as ‘The Five’ Leads All Cable News

0

Fox News finished 2024 with the highest audience share in nearly a decade and marked nine years in a row as the most-watched network in cable news.

The hit show “The Five” smashed records as the number one cable news program in viewers and became the “first non-primetime program to ever deliver four million viewers in the fourth quarter,” according to a press release from Fox News.

It was also a huge year for two hosts of “The Five,” Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld. The late-night hit ‘Gutfeld!’ was the most watched in the 25-54 age demographic and “Jesse Watters Primetime” topped the 18-49 year old demographic.

During its highest-rated fourth quarter ever (4,026,000 P2+; 429,000 A25-54), The Five made history by becoming the first non-primetime show to reach over four million viewers and by topping cable news in viewership for three straight years.

With an average of 3.4 million viewers and 331,000 in the 25–54 demographic, FNC’s late afternoon ensemble program (weekdays, 5 PM/ET) attracted the greatest audience of any cable news program in 2024. With The Ingraham Angle topping the 7 PM/ET timeslot with 2.5 million viewers and 278,000 in the 25-54 demographic, FNC’s primetime lineup dominated the cable news competition.

With 3.1 million primetime viewers and 352,000 in the 25–54 demographic, Jesse Watters Primetime was the most popular cable news program at 8 PM/ET.

Hannity, which airs weekdays at 9 PM/ET, attracted the third-largest viewership with 2.8 million viewers and 341,000 in the 25–54 demographic.

Averaging 2.5 million viewers and 355,000 in the 25-54 demo, FNC’s late-night hit Gutfeld! (weekdays, 10 PM/ET) had its finest year since its debut, surpassing both cable and broadcast competition and earning the program’s highest-ever rating.

Gutfeld! dominated all cable news during the 25-54 demo. In terms of viewers and the 25–54 demographic, Gutfeld! continued to upend the late-night scene, surpassing broadcast shows like ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said, “Throughout coverage of a tumultuous political cycle, wars in the Middle East, and major breaking news events, millions of viewers across the political spectrum continued to tune into FOX News Channel for our unrivaled reporting and analysis. I am extremely proud of our entire team for proving once again why we are the nation’s most-watched network, as we outpaced the competition in covering the stories that mattered most to everyday Americans.”

“During the 2024 election cycle, more viewers turned to FNC than any other cable news network for historic political news, including the lead-up to and following election night, headline-grabbing interviews, presidential debate simulcasts, the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, the assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race. According to Nielsen Media Research, FNC was the most watched cable news network in every swing state, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin,” Fox News said in a press release.

“Since the election, FOX News captured 72% of the cable news audience in primetime as MSNBC and CNN ushered in historic declines. In primetime, MSNBC has seen 65% of its A25-54 audience flee the channel, with the network delivering only 51,000 in A25-54 and 576,000 viewers (-57%). CNN has lost over half of its audience in primetime in the A25-54 demo, averaging 70,000 (-56%) in A25-54 and 378,000 viewers (-49%). FNC has notched 374 of the top cable news telecasts since the day after the election, with MSNBC and CNN failing to garner over two million viewers since November 6th,” the press release added.

More Independents than any other group get their news from the network, according to a YouGov study conducted during the election campaign.

Vance Warns ‘Rogue’ Federal Judges Taking Power From Executive Branch

0

Vice President JD Vance sent another warning to “rogue” federal judges who he feels are abusing their authority to improperly impede President Donald Trump as head of the Executive Branch.

So far, the courts have blocked Trump’s efforts to end birthright citizenship, freeze federal grants, and overhaul federal agencies like USAID and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Over the weekend, the administration faced another setback when a federal judge temporarily restricted Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency from accessing the Treasury Department’s extensive federal payment system, which holds sensitive information about millions of Americans, ABC News reported.

Musk accused the judge of corruption and called for his immediate impeachment.

Vance has also spoken out against several of the judges who he believes are improperly encroaching on Executive Branch authority.

“If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal. Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power,” Vance said over the weekend, per ABC.

On Sunday, Trump was asked about Vance’s comments and his court setbacks.

“When a president can’t look for fraud and waste and abuse, we don’t have a country anymore,” Trump told reporters. “So, we’re very disappointed, but with the judges that would make such a ruling. But we have a long way to go.”

“No judge should, frankly, be allowed to make that kind of a decision,” the president added. “It’s a disgrace.”

Republicans are largely united in their support of the president. Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton criticized the judge who blocked DOGE’s access to Treasury data, calling him an “outlaw.” Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, mostly defended Musk’s actions on CNN Sunday, asserting that he was “carrying out the will” of the president who appointed him.

To that end, House Republicans are planning to introduce articles of impeachment against at least two federal judges who have blocked Trump’s efforts, Axios reported.

The measures are part of an escalating public clash between Republicans and the federal judiciary as Trump pushes back against obstacles to his “government efficiency” agenda. Trump intensified the situation this week during an Oval Office news briefing with DOGE head Musk, stating, “Maybe we have to look at the judges because I think that’s a very serious violation.”

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) is working on articles of impeachment against U.S. District Court Judge John J. McConnell Jr., the chief judge of the District of Rhode Island and an Obama appointee, who ordered the administration to lift its federal spending freeze, Clyde’s office confirmed to Axios.

In a post on X this week, Clyde called McConnell a “partisan activist weaponizing our judicial system to stop President Trump’s funding freeze on woke and wasteful government spending.”

Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) has said he plans to introduce articles of impeachment against U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer of the Southern District of New York, another Obama appointee, who blocked DOGE from accessing Treasury records, on similar grounds.

Clyde and Crane would need majorities in the House to impeach the two judges and two-thirds majorities in the Senate to convict them.

With only 53 Senate Republicans, securing the necessary votes would be a challenge, Axios noted.

Judicial impeachments are rare and typically occur for issues such as corruption, perjury, or serious misconduct. The last successful impeachment of a federal court judge was in 2010, related to false financial disclosures, the outlet noted further.

Michael Gerhardt, a constitutional law expert at the University of North Carolina, told ABC News Trump’s rhetoric is largely “bravado” as “judges are entitled to review the constitutionality of presidential actions.”

Judge Rejects Push to Disclose Trump Report Before FBI Vote

0

Before a vote on Trump’s nominee to lead the FBI, there was a last-minute attempt to get the US Justice Department to release part of the report on criminal investigations into the president. However, the judge turned down the request.

US District Judge Timothy Kelly in Washington, DC, said no to the request to act right away by referring to a ruling from a federal judge in Florida.

The Justice Department has to follow this order and keep secret for now the second volume of former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s report. This volume is about the investigation into how Trump handled classified information.

Patel’s confirmation to become the next director of the FBI moved forward in the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate on Thursday with a 51-47 vote to break the filibuster.

Republicans said they were happy that President Trump’s choice “has the votes” and will be confirmed by the full Senate later on Thursday.

Along party lines, the Senate voted 48–45 to begin debating the nominee. This means that there will be 30 hours of debate before Patel is given final approval on Thursday, according to people familiar with the process who spoke to the New York Post.

GOP senators have praised Patel, 44, from Long Island for his experience as a prosecutor and as a national security aide in the first Trump administration. They have also praised his strong desire to get the FBI back to its core law enforcement duties and stop “weaponizing” politics at the agency.

In his confirmation hearing, Patel pledged to “cut in half” the number of offenses committed across broad categories of crimes, including the “100,000 rapes … 100,000 drug overdoses from Chinese fentanyl and Mexican heroin, and … 17,000 homicides.”

If confirmed as one of the nation’s top law enforcement officers, the nominee, who has praised rank-and-file FBI agents as “courageous, apolitical warriors of justice,” will serve a 10-year term.

“Mr. Patel has undergone a rigorous vetting. He produced more than a thousand pages of records and disclosed over a thousand interviews. He underwent an FBI background investigation, produced a financial disclosure, and worked with ethics officials to identify and resolve potential conflicts of interest,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a hearing last week.

“At his hearing, he answered questions for more than five hours and provided 147 pages of responses to written questions. We’ve examined every detail of his life, and he’s been subjected to relentless attacks on his character the whole time,” Grassley added.

“Mr. Patel was instrumental in exposing Crossfire Hurricane,” Grassley said last week. “He showed that the Democratic National Committee funded false allegations against President Trump, that the DOJ and FBI hid information from the FISA court to wiretap a presidential campaign, and that an FBI lawyer lied in the process.”

Every single Democrat on the Judiciary panel was against Patel. They pushed back the initial approval vote by a week, saying the nominee lied in his confirmation hearing, and when it came time for the committee vote, they all voted against him.

Patel started his career as a public defender in Florida. He then worked as a federal prosecutor in the Obama Justice Department, an aide to Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who was the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and as a national security official in the first Trump administration.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the top Democrat on the Judiciary panel, and others have said that Patel lied to the committee about how he helped get senior FBI officials fired after Trump took office and how he produced a song sung by federal prisoners convicted of crimes during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Patel said he did not agree with Trump completely, especially regarding the mass pardoning of Jan. 6 rioters, which includes those who attacked Capitol Police while blocking Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory in January 2021.

“I do not agree with the commutation of any sentence of any individual who committed violence against law enforcement,” he told Judiciary panel members in his confirmation hearing earlier this month.

‘I Will Never Forgive’: Geraldo Rivera Reveals Who Got Him Fired From ‘The Five’

0

Geraldo Rivera is no longer part of Fox News after spending two decades at the network, and he recently went on “The View” to complain about some of his former on-air colleagues.

At one point during the interview, Rivera said he had a “very toxic” relationship with a former fellow co-host of “The Five,” but he didn’t name any names. Unlike Tucker Carlson, who was unceremoniously taken off the air in late April, Rivera got a nice on-air send-off that included cake and fellow Fox personalities donning fake mustaches.

Though he didn’t identify anyone, Rivera’s departure came after sparring on-air for months with Greg Gutfeld, with the two often getting into shouting matches on the air.

The 79-year-old said while he never did fit in ideologically at Fox News, he said the network offered to move him to another show after it became apparent he could no longer do The Five. But he declined, saying he would not accept being demoted from the most popular cable news show on TV.

“If you fired me from the No. 1 show, then I’m going to quit. And that’s basically what happened,” Rivera said.

In what was obviously a reference to former co-host Jesse Watters, Joy Behar asked Rivera if the ‘toxic’ person was “Smeshy Shwaters.”

Rivera laughed that off, but he did not leave any doubt that the person he had problems with was male.

“I thought it was very unfair that I was not judged objectively in our disputes, but rather he was always favored,” he said.

When he was asked if the person was Judge Jeanine Pirro, Rivera said that he actually discovered her and adored her. “Check the internet,” he said.

At another point on the show, Rivera said he could “never forgive” Carlson for his exposes on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, in which he surmised that there were federal agent provocateurs in the crowd that day.

In an appearance last week with commentator and comedian Russell Brand on Brand’s podcast on Friday, Carlson said he interviewed Steven Sund, who was chief of the Capitol Police on the day of the riot, but that he was fired before the interview aired. He told Brand that Sund confirmed what Carlson has said for more than a year — that federal agents were rife throughout the Jan. 6 mob that rioted at the Capitol.

Carlson also praised former President Donald Trump’s stance on Ukraine, noting that he seems to be the only major political figure in Washington right now that is against the war and wants to stop it.

That was apparently too much for Rivera.

“Due respect to Tucker Carlson, but he’s as full of s**t about Ukraine as he was about January 6th,” he tweeted. “His smiley face doesn’t change fact Russia invaded sovereign Ukraine; 1000’s are dead, including women & children, the world order is assailed and Putin is a punk.”

Several Twitter users took Rivera to task over his remarks.

“Geraldo you are wrong about both…. Ukraine and Jan 6th,” wrote one, adding an insult: “P.S. A mustache is dirtier than a dog’s a**.”

“Look at the man in the mirror Geraldo. America has zero business being involved in this war period. Both countries are corrupt and both leaders are corrupt but heck so is Joe Biden. This crap is going to get Americans and our children laying dead in the streets!” said another.

“I’d rather have Putin as my neighbor than you Geraldo,” noted another user.

Still another user said, followed by three laughing emojis: “Are you still around and butt-hurt that Tucker Carlson is wildly more successful than you ever thought of being?”

Trump Says Musk Will Not Take Part In Space-Related Government Decisions

0

President Donald Trump said he would not let billionaire Elon Musk be involved in space-related government decisions and wanted to avoid any possible conflicts of interest.

“So anything to do with possibly even space, we won’t let Elon partake in that,” Trump told reporters, adding, “I’m just hearing about it” when asked about some Department of Government Efficiency staffers possibly having a conflict of interest if they work for Musk’s SpaceX and are looking to the FAA.

The White House has said in the past that Musk would not have any conflicts of interest between his different business interests and his work through his DOGE to save the federal government money.

Trump’s team said on Monday that Musk worked for the White House and was a senior adviser to the president. They said that Musk did not work for DOGE. The White House also said Musk did not have the power to make decisions.

Since Trump started his second term as president last month, DOGE has spread through federal agencies. He also put Musk in charge of finding wasteful spending as part of a major overhaul of the government that has led to the loss of thousands of jobs in cost-saving efforts.

“Elon is, to me, a patriot. So you know, you could call him an employee, you could call him a consultant,” Trump said about Musk on Tuesday.

“You could call him whatever you want, but he’s a patriot,” Trump added.

Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk and his team have been given access to vital financial information for a slew of additional federal agencies following a court win on Tuesday, as a member of the DOGE squad also prepares to receive data on Internal Revenue Service operations.

“The I.R.S. is preparing to give Gavin Kliger, a young software engineer working with [DOGE], access to sensitive taxpayer information as a senior adviser to the I.R.S.’s acting commissioner. The I.R.S. is still working out the terms of his assignment,” The New York Times reported.

Critics have expressed concerns that such actions would grant Musk and his operation unprecedented oversight. Lily Batchelder, a Treasury Department official during the Biden administration, noted on X that she could not recall political appointees ever having access to the IRS database, the outlet continued.

A major worry is the potential for using this access to target political opponents or leak private citizens’ data. Batchelder warned that such a move could violate federal laws prohibiting executive branch interference in taxpayer audits. Meanwhile, Democratic Senators Ron Wyden of Oregon and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts have demanded further details on the extent of access granted, The Times added.

While Democrats and their allies in the legacy media continue to claim — so far without any evidence — that Musk and his DOGE team will be “accessing sensitive taxpayer information” and could leak it, The Times report did note that actually happened recently — to Musk. His 2014-2018 tax returns, along with those of other billionaires the left doesn’t like, were leaked by an IRS official to the outlet ProPublica in 2021.

President Donald Trump, who appointed Musk to his role, remains fully committed to the billionaire Tesla and SpaceX founder’s mission.

“Waste, fraud and abuse have been deeply entrenched in our broken system for far too long,” Harrison Fields, a White House spokesman, said in a statement. “It takes direct access to the system to identify and fix it.”

Meanwhile, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan on Tuesday rejected a request from 14 Democratic state attorneys general to immediately impose broad restrictions on Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Led by New Mexico, the coalition of states argues that Musk’s extensive role at DOGE is unconstitutional because he was not confirmed by the Senate. They had sought to block DOGE from accessing seven federal agencies, The Hill reported.

Chutkan denied their request at this stage of the case, stating they had not demonstrated the necessary proof of irreparable harm.

“Plaintiffs legitimately call into question what appears to be the unchecked authority of an unelected individual and an entity that was not created by Congress and over which it has no oversight,” Chutkan wrote in her ruling.

“In these circumstances, it must be indisputable that this court acts within the bounds of its authority,” she continued. “Accordingly, it cannot issue a TRO [temporary restraining order], especially one as wide-ranging as Plaintiffs request, without clear evidence of imminent, irreparable harm to these Plaintiffs. The current record does not meet that standard.”

In a footnote, the judge suggested that the Justice Department may have exaggerated in court filings regarding the extent of DOGE’s influence over personnel issues. “Defense counsel is reminded of their duty to make truthful representations to the court,” Chutkan wrote.

Since Trump’s inauguration, Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has moved swiftly to place employees within federal agencies, aiming to slash trillions in government spending—a push that has already sparked legal challenges.

The rapid overhaul has placed Chutkan, an Obama appointee, at the center of yet another legal battle involving the president. Chutkan previously presided over the now-dismissed Jan. 6 criminal case against the former president.

CNN Host Wrecked By Republican: ‘That’s Why Your Ratings Are In The Tank’

0

A Republican congressman clashed live on-air with a CNN host during a discussion on Tuesday about an effort led by President Donald Trump to cut government waste.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) argued with CNN host Pamela Brown after she essentially accused Trump and his surrogate, Department of Government Efficiency boss Elon Musk, of making reckless moves to dramatically curb federal spending amid a ballooning $36 trillion national debt.

Brown repeatedly pressed Burchett on the Trump administration’s efforts to cut government waste, specifically questioning whether the approach was “clumsy rather than methodical.” Brown further argued that the administration was making “high-stakes mistakes” in its execution.

“Humans will make mistakes, ma‘am. But currently, these are bloated programs. You have no-show employees that are angry that they‘re having to go back to work, that they‘ve moved and they‘re not even in the distance of where their original jobs were,” Burchett said as Brown acknowledged that “no one” was disagreeing with getting rid of waste.

“Well, then, why are you all not exposing it?” Burchett asked, leading Brown to claim that her network was following where the money was going “at length.”

“All y‘all do is run down Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and you continuously do this. And that‘s why your ratings are in the tank, ma‘am,” Burchett said.

The two continued their fiery back-and-forth, with Burchett asserting that Brown was attacking the messenger rather than addressing the message.

“There are fair questions to be asking, congressman, about these unelected people going in and having access to private information from Americans. How can you not be asking those questions? Those are very fair questions,” Brown said.

“How many people at the IRS are elected? How many of those are elected, ma‘am? You‘re proving my point. You‘ve got all these people, and this is a very porous agency. We know that,” Burchett pushed back.

In a column for the Washington Examiner, Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.)  chastised Democrats and their media allies now complaining about the Trump-Musk cost-cutting initiative, reminding them that their party was all in favor of streamlining government spending until the current president undertook the effort.

“The United States is $36 trillion in debt, and Washington, D.C., continues to hemorrhage taxpayer dollars. Instead of efficiency, people have gotten an ever-growing bureaucracy that wastes taxpayer dollars and is unaccountable to the public,” he began.

“This is exactly why President Donald Trump’s initiative to implement the Department of Government Efficiency represents a bold step toward draining the bureaucratic swamp, forcing federal agencies to streamline, modernize, and justify their spending,” Webster continued. “But the biggest irony of the backlash against DOGE is who is leading the resistance.”

He noted that DOGE is actually a derivative of the United States Digital Service, which was created by Obama in 2014.

“For years, Democrats praised it. They had no problem when Obama and Joe Biden’s USDS embedded Silicon Valley insiders deep in our federal agencies, including giving engineers access to Medicare’s mainframe, which processes billions of dollars in payments every year,” Webster wrote.

The USDS expanded into a bloated bureaucracy with little oversight, yet its access to sensitive government systems was never questioned because its agenda aligned with the Democratic Party, he explained. Now, with Trump rebranding USDS as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and appointing one of the most visionary innovators of our time, Elon Musk, to overhaul Washington’s inefficiencies, the same individuals who once championed USDS are now rallying in protest outside the Treasury Department, he added.

“The same people who let USDS tinker with Medicare’s billion-dollar payment system now want to block Trump from cutting waste,” said Webster.

Trump Orders Justice Dept. To Fire All ‘Biden-Era’ U.S. Attorneys

0

President Donald Trump continued his purge of officials he suspects could work against him and his agenda on Tuesday, issuing instructions to Attorney General Pam Bondi to fire all remaining U.S. attorneys who worked under former President Joe Biden.

“Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining ‘Biden Era’ U.S. Attorneys,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“We must ‘clean house’ IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System – THAT BEGINS TODAY!” he added.

Bondi, meanwhile, has already been hard at work implementing the president’s agenda. Earlier this week, for instance, Bondi is directing the department to re-examine several death row commutations issued by Biden on his way out of the White House last month.

In a letter to staff, she said that Biden’s decision to grant the commutations “undermine[d] our justice system and subvert[ed] the rule of law.”

“The commutations also robbed the victims’ families of the justice promised — and fought hard to achieve — by the Department of Justice,” Bondi wrote. “The Department of Justice is directed to immediately commence the following actions to achieve justice for the victims’ families of the 37 commuted murderers.”

“Explore opportunities to provide a public forum for the victims’ families to express how the commutations affected them personally,” Bondi said, calling it an “important step” toward building trust and holding people accountable.

Bondi said she would tell U.S. attorneys’ offices to use state law instead of federal law to go after people whose death sentences had been reduced. She said this would only happen “where appropriate and legally permissible” and “after consultation with the families of the victims and other interested parties.”

“The Capital Case Section shall assist the United States Attorney’s Offices in implementing this directive,” Bondi’s letter stated.

“Third, the Federal Bureau of Prisons is directed to ensure that the conditions of confinement for each of the 37 commuted murderers are consistent with the security risks those inmates present because of their egregious crimes, criminal histories, and all other relevant considerations,” she added.

Biden took 37 people off of federal death row and changed their sentences to life in prison without the chance of release.

The White House said at the time that the move would stop then-President-elect Donald Trump’s government from “carrying out the execution sentences that would not be handed down under current policy and practice.”

“The President’s criminal justice record has transformed individual lives and positively impacted communities, especially historically marginalized communities,” the White House statement said at the time. “In the coming weeks, the President will take additional steps to provide meaningful second chances and continue to review additional pardons and commutations.”

Biden only left three mass killers on death row: Dylann Roof, who killed nine people at a church in Charleston, South Carolina; Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who set off the bombs at the Boston Marathon; and Robert Bowers, who shot up the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018.

Bondi made headlines last week after the DOJ filed a lawsuit against New York state, Gov. Kathy Hochul, and Attorney General Letitia James, accusing them of violating federal law by shielding illegal immigrants.

“This is a new DOJ,” Bondi announced at a news conference. “New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today.”

“If you don’t comply with federal law, we will hold you accountable,” Bondi said. “We did it to Illinois, strike one. Strike two is New York. And if you are a state not complying with federal law, you’re next. Get ready.”

Last week, the Justice Department asked a federal judge to strike down sanctuary laws in Chicago and Illinois.

Chuck Schumer Has Temper Tantrum on Senate Floor Over Trump

0

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is doubling down on trying to blame President Donald Trump for the Delta plane crash that happened in Toronto, Canada.

In an overly dramatic speech Wednesday on the U.S. Senate floor, Schumer claimed that Trump’s layoffs at the FAA are making the skies less safe.

No air traffic controllers have been let go by Secretary [Sean] Duffy or the Trump administration.

“The FAA — the more Donald Trump and DOGE indiscriminately hack away at public agencies, the greater harm to Americans’ well-being and even their safety. The FAA is a good example. Just weeks after the deadliest plane crash in a long time, and just as we see more incidents around the country, President Trump has fired hundreds of FAA workers, including air safety personnel. Firing people whose very job it is to keep air travel safe is nothing short of reckless,” Schumer whined.

“Now the White House accused us of linking the crash of the Minneapolis flight directly with FAA cuts in staffing. Nothing could be further from the truth. I simply said that when there are fewer FAA personnel, the skies are less safe. Does Donald Trump deny that there are fewer FAA staffers? Does Donald Trump deny that when he fires FAA workers, including workers who focus on safety, it makes travel less safe?” he continued.

“Of course, Donald Trump is obfuscating once again. He doesn’t want the truth to come out. But he should correct course immediately and halt these firings, because the safety of the skies is at risk. Now of course we know that President Trump ignores the truth. But we need to speak the truth when people’s safety is at stake. Here are the facts. Something went terribly wrong on the flight that took off from Minneapolis. That’s clear,” Schumer said.

“An investigation is underway, and as I said yesterday, I await their results. Similarly, something went terribly wrong a few weeks ago on the flight from Kansas to Washington D.C. that claimed 67 people’s lives. And here are more facts. Donald Trump and Elon Musk have fired hundreds of FAA staffers, including safety specialists, the very people who keep our skies safe. All so Republicans can help their billionaire buddies with another tax break,” he said.

Schumer decried, “Why? Why at a time when incidents in the air and on the runways and in our airports seem to be increasing, why would we cut the very people meant to prevent them? Simple. Donald Trump and DOGE are doing it like they’re doing so much else, so they can help their billionaire buddies with another tax break.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed Schumer for attempting to blame Trump for the Delta airliner that crash-landed upside-down in Toronto.

Speaking on Fox’s “America Reports” on Tuesday, Leavitt criticized Schumer for alleging that Trump’s recent cuts to the Federal Aviation Administration’s workforce played a role in the accident.

“It’s incredibly irresponsible for Chuck Schumer to say such a thing when the investigation is still underway,” Leavitt said.

A Delta Air Lines flight departing from Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport on Monday crash-landed upon arrival at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Video footage captured the aircraft touching down before flipping onto its top side amid a burst of flames.

In the aftermath, footage showed the plane resting upside-down as passengers hurriedly evacuated through the cabin doors. All 80 passengers survived, though 18 sustained injuries, including three in critical condition, Fox News reported.

The crash ignited political debate on X, with Schumer blaming Trump. In a series of posts, he stated, “I’m thankful that everyone in the flight incident in Toronto that took off from Minneapolis is safe, but we keep seeing these incidents day after day. Meanwhile, Trump’s doing massive layoffs at the FAA – including safety specialists – and making our skies less and less safe.”

“Democrats are fighting to protect the flying public,” he added.

In a subsequent post, Schumer wrote, “To those asking whether it matters that the plane’s destination was in Canada: The flight took off from Minneapolis. The FAA was still responsible for inspecting the aviation equipment, and Trump just let go of FAA safety specialists.”

Leavitt challenged the senator and picked apart his claims. She highlighted that Canadian air traffic controllers were in charge of directing the plane during the crash.

Speaking to “America Reports” co-anchor John Roberts, she said, “And as you rightfully pointed out, John, this crash unfortunately took place in Canadian airspace with Canadian air traffic controllers overseeing it.”

She then challenged the claim regarding Trump firing officials from the FAA.

“And the facts about the FAA are that no air traffic controllers have been let go by Secretary [Sean] Duffy or this new administration. In fact, Secretary Duffy has put great emphasis on hiring the best and the brightest air traffic controllers who want to be part of the FAA,” she argued.

“And President Trump signed a very strong executive order to ensure that the FAA and all federal government agencies are focused on merit and skill-based hiring,” she continued. “We want the best and the brightest, the most competent individuals in positions especially of public safety at the FAA, the Department of Transportation, and all departments across this federal government, so we can best serve the American people.”

She concluded her statements by noting that former President Joe Biden and his Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, “sat on their hands when it came to aviation safety for four years.”

WH Slams Schumer For Suggesting Trump Responsible For Delta Plane Crash in Toronto

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., for attempting to blame President Donald Trump for the Delta airliner that crash-landed upside-down in Toronto.

Also Tuesday, Leavitt pushed back on media and Democrat complaints about Trump’s efforts to dramatically cut federal spending through recommendations made to him by Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk and his team.

Leavitt referenced past video clips of Democratic Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden all championing dramatic spending cuts, though only one of them — Clinton, along with a GOP-controlled Congress — managed to cut spending enough to balance the federal budget for a couple of years.

“To all of the Democrats who are planning to protest this week, here’s an explanation on DOGE, from your party’s own beloved leaders!” Leavitt posted on the X platform along with a video clip of Obama and Biden citing the need for cuts.

Mark Levin Signs Massive New Deal For ‘Multiple Years’

0

Top-rated conservative talker and pundit Mark Levin won’t be leaving the airwaves anytime soon, thanks to a major new deal he just inked with Cumulus Media.

According to reports, the deal will keep Levin with the company and on the air for “multiple years,” and also include a new addition to his already busy schedule.

Levin, 66, has been part of Cumulus Media and Westwood One since 2007. The new deal includes his development and hosting of an all-new show for the network, marking his first-ever original content podcast series, the Washington Examiner reported.

“This has been my radio home for 23 years, and I am more excited than ever, especially during these tumultuous and historic times, to continue my relationship with my first-rate broadcast partners for many years to come,” Levin said.

Collin Jones, president of Westwood One and executive vice president of Cumulus Media, added: “Mark is a powerful and influential voice with an incredible ability to establish strong relationships with his listeners while driving tremendous results for his advertising partners. Mark has been dubbed ‘The Great One’ for his ability to concisely break down the day’s most significant topics, and we are thrilled to grow our partnership with him for years to come.”

The Examiner noted further: “Levin has been a must-listen for years. A legal scholar who was also a Reagan-era Justice Department chief of staff, he produces analyses of key issues from the court troubles facing former President Donald Trump to the Biden scandals in a very clear-cut and understandable fashion. He is also a leading critic of the liberal media, long exposing the efforts to hide President Joe Biden’s mental failings before the media finally admitted them after last Thursday’s presidential debate.”

The Mark Levin Show airs weekly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on almost 400 radio affiliates, covering all 10 top metro markets and 21 of the top 25. The Mark Levin Audio Rewind, a daily companion podcast, is available Monday through Friday on most major podcast platforms.

Additionally, a weekend podcast called The Best of Mark Levin provides a roundup of the week’s top stories. On Saturdays, he hosts the hit show “Life, Liberty, and Levin” on Fox.

“I understand my obligation is to serve the millions of patriotic Americans in the audience. I am blessed to do what I do, and I am committed every day to providing detailed analyses of current events along with historic context, commentary, and my in-depth perspectives to deliver the very best broadcasting I am able to share with our many listeners,” said Levin, who is also a member of the Radio Hall of Fame.

Levin moved to the Saturday Night prime time 8 PM slot in December, which provided him with greater visibility and doubled his existing schedule footprint, which currently sits at Sunday 8 PM.

Fox’s executive vice president of primetime programming Meade Cooper reportedly led the charge to make the change.

He told the press in a statement, “Since joining the network in 2017, Mark has provided our audience with thought-provoking analysis on America’s core values and their impact on current events.”

Levin responded to the news with humility saying: “It’s an honor to join the other outstanding hosts on Saturday in bringing the most intelligent, informative, and entertaining programming to the nation. Thank you to our loyal audience and Fox News.”

“Fox News said ‘Life, Liberty & Levin’ is the highest-rated primetime program in cable news on Sundays, averaging 1.4 million viewers and 104,000 in the 25-54 demographic, the audience most coveted by advertisers,” Variety reported at the time. “Levin served in the Reagan administration, and worked as an associate director of presidential personnel, deputy solicitor of the U.S. Department of Interior, and deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Education, among other positions.”

It’s done! He didn’t hesitate for long and made another decision!

In a recent move to combat anti-Semitism, former U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order that has significant implications for foreign students and individuals involved in pro-Palestinian protests.

This order authorizes the deportation of international students who participate in demonstrations perceived as anti-Israel, aligning with the administration’s broader strategy to address campus activities deemed supportive of organizations like Hamas.

The executive order, signed in late January 2025, directs federal agencies to identify and potentially revoke the visas of non-citizen students involved in such protests.

The administration justifies this action by referencing immigration laws that permit deportation of non-citizens who “endorse or espouse” terrorist organizations, with Hamas being designated as such by the U.S. since 1997.

Kamala Harris’ Ex Criticizes Her Campaign: ‘Not One of Them Got it Right’

While some surrogates for Vice President Kamala Harris blame her historic loss to now-President-elect Donald Trump on President Joe Biden’s late exit from the race, a bevy of former campaign staffers say that thinking is “detached from reality.”

Former San Francisco Democrat Mayor Willie Brown, who dated Harris in the 1990s, says her campaign lost the election because they “read the tea leaves wrong.”“Not one of them got it right, not one.

They did not go back and say, how is it we did not succeed with Hillary is it possible to elect a woman to the presidency in the United States if that answer from all of the processessay questionable, then you know what you need to do,” Brown whined.

Fetterman Defends Meeting With Trump During Appearance On ‘The View’

0

Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania recently appeared on ABC’s “The View” to discuss his meeting with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Fetterman described the encounter as “cordial” and “positive,” noting that they conversed for over an hour on topics such as support for Dreamers and food insecurity.

He emphasized the importance of engaging with the president to find bipartisan solutions.

The co-hosts of “The View” expressed skepticism about the optics of a Democratic senator visiting Trump’s Florida residence.

Ana Navarro likened the visits to “trekking down to Mecca to see the prophet,” expressing discomfort with the perceived deference shown to Trump.

A Woman’s Path to Strength: Overcoming Betrayal When Her Husband and Mother Betrayed Her Trust

A Love That Became a Living Nightmare

At the tender age of 17, she thought she had found the love of her life. Their bond was wonderful, filled with dreams of a future built on trust, love, and shared aspirations. By 19, the two took the leap and moved in together, settling into her grandparents’ home—a place that would soon become the foundation of their growing family.

Life appeared idyllic. They created countless memories within those walls, celebrated milestones, and weathered life’s challenges together. Years flew by, children were born, and she felt she had finally achieved the family she had always longed for.

By 40, she was pregnant once more, radiating joy and excitement for the newest member of their family. But in an instant, her world was shattered.

The Day Her Life Fell Apart

For illustrative purpose only.

Seven months into her pregnancy, she returned home early from an appointment. She walked through the familiar rooms, her heart brimming with happiness, until she reached the bedroom door.

There, she discovered her mother and her husband in bed together.

The sh0ck was paralyzing. Her heart pounded, her mind reeled in disbelief, yet her voice remained steady as she confronted them. She demanded answers, desperate to understand how the two people she trusted most could betray her so deeply.

What happened after that was even more crushing.

Her husband confessed that their af:fa:ir had been ongoing since he was 18 years old—nearly the entire duration of their marriage. She felt as if her entire life had been built on a lie.

But the revelations didn’t stop there.

Her husband admitted that her younger siblings might actually be his biological children.

The Bold Decision: A Gathering of Truth

For illustrative purpose only.

Many would have crumbled under the weight of such betrayal. But not her.

In an extraordinary act of courage, she made a decision to confront her entire family. She organized a family gathering, presenting it as a celebration. Everyone attended, oblivious to the storm that was about to break.

She stood before her family and exposed the a-ffa-ir, revealing the truth her husband and mother had concealed for decades. The room fell into an outpouring of shock, anger, and heartbreak.

The family was fractured. Some members rallied around her, while others struggled to come to terms with the betrayal. Yet she stood firm, knowing she had done what was necessary—no more secrets, no more lies.

A Father’s Unwavering Support and a New Beginning

For illustrative purpose only.

Devastated by the revelation, her father grappled with the ultimate betrayal from his wife. Despite his pain, he chose to stand by his daughter. In a profound act of love and solidarity, he made a decision to sell the family home and give her the proceeds to help her start anew.

This gesture was a symbol of unwavering support, a reminder that she was not alone in her fight.

Without any hesitation, she filed for divorce. The legal battle was grueling, but justice prevailed. Her ex-husband lost half of his business in the settlement, a fitting consequence for years of deceit and betrayal.

Discovering Strength in the Midst of Chaos

For illustrative purpose only.

Rebuilding her life was not easy. The emotional wounds ran deep, but she didn’t let her past define her. She concentrated on her children, her career, and her own well-being.

Her resilience inspired thousands as she shared her story online.

Reddit users from around the globe flooded her post with messages of support, admiration, and encouragement.

“Your strength is incredible. I can’t imagine the pain, but you handled it with such grace.”

“Betrayal from family cuts the deepest. You didn’t just survive; you thrived. You’re an inspiration.”

Her story resonated with countless individuals who had faced betrayal, proving that while trust can be broken, self-worth and courage remain unshakable.

Where She Is Now

Today, she lives a life filled with independence, peace, and self-love. Her story serves as a testament to the fact that even the deepest wounds can heal, leaving behind scars that tell stories of survival, not defeat.

Her children are thriving, surrounded by the unconditional love of a mother who didn’t let betrayal break her. She has found joy in new hobbies, built a supportive circle of friends, and discovered that true happiness comes from within.

When asked if she regrets her past, this woman simply says:

“No. My past shaped me, but it doesn’t define me. I’m stronger because of it.”

For illustrative purpose only.

Final Thoughts

Life can be unpredictable because sometimes, the people we trust the most hurt us in unimaginable ways. However, in the aftermath of betrayal, there is always a choice: to be broken or to be reborn.

Her story is a beacon of hope for anyone who is facing heartbreak, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we have the power to create light.

You are not just your pain. You are your courage, your resilience, and your ability to rise.

Opinion: Grimes is a hypocrite, and she needs to quit her act

These days, Elon Musk is making headlines every single day. Whether it is for something he does with DOGE, a speech he makes, when he attempts to buy other major companies, or even just because of his proximity to President Donald Trump.

Musk, the richest man in the world, seems to also have the ear of the most powerful man in the world: the American President. In an unprecedented move, Donald Trump has allowed Elon Musk not just to form DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) but has decided to give them more power as of last week.

The decision has left a sour taste in many mouths, including mine. Musk is a figure who has historically been embroiled in a lot of controversy. And some of his recent antics are a major cause for concern.

At an event to celebrate Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony, Elon Musk gave a speech that made headlines globally. And it was not the content of the speech itself that had people talking but a gesture that Musk did which raised eyebrows from the entire world.

Musk, had his right hand over his heart and then raised the same arm in the air, in what resembled a Nazi salute. Since then, Musk has firmly claimed that this was not his intention. He posted to his platform, X, and wrote, “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”

His trans daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, went on the record last year to tell the world that her father was an absentee dad who was cruel to her for being queer and feminine when she was a child.

Musk had said that he had been tricked into authorizing gender-affirming care for her when she was 16 years old. To him, he said, she was figuratively ‘dead,’ a horrible thing to say about your child to your public audience of millions.

Now 21 years old, Vivian is not backing down without a fight and, in an interview, said that Musk was lying as while he had been hesitant, he fully understood what trans-related medical procedures he was signing off for her as her parent. “I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged. Which I’m not going to do, because if you’re going to lie about me, like, blatantly to an audience of millions, I’m not just gonna let that slide,” she said.

And to me, if your own child is calling you out for lying… well, that does little for your character.

Being a proud pro-natalist, someone who likes to catastrophize about a ‘population collapse,’ and talks endlessly of wanting to increase birth rates, Musk himself has 12 children with three different women and a variety of different surrogates. And possibly a 13th child, according to Ashely St. Claire’s recent claims.

Three of his children are with his ex-girlfriend, Canadian singer Claire Elise Boucher, who goes by the stage name Grimes. While Grimes welcomed their first child by giving birth herself, the other two were welcomed via surrogate.

When Musk began to date Grimes, a lot of eyebrows were raised, and not just because of their age gap. Grimes was considered as a feminist icon in the music industry. She was known for championing other female and queer artists.

So when Grimes who was known for being vocal about her progressive politics was seen dating Elon Musk, people were shocked to say the least. She had the term “anti-imperialist” in her Twitter bio, which she famously removed after she appeared publicly at the Met Gale on Elon Musk’s arm. An artist who was loud and proud about being against capitalism was suddenly dating the world’s richest man. In 2018, she even defended some of Musk’s actions on Twitter (now X), such as his dissuading his workers at Tesla from unionizing.

The act of being an anti-capitalist alternative musician slowly fell away, and she was revealed to be someone who did not mind capitalism at all when presented with the chance to date someone who is quite literally the face of it in the 21st century.

Throughout all of this, she has vehemently tried to maintain that her politics are progressive and portray herself as someone who is on the side of queer youth. She recently posted to Instagram about how she is donating from her music video to fund and develop female and non-binary lead art.

However, she was not only in a relationship with Musk but welcomed three children with him. While she gave birth to their eldest, X Æ A-Xii, the younger two, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus, were welcomed via surrogate.

Last year, Grimes opened up about the custody battle with Musk. She wrote, “Spent a year locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights having my instagram posts and modeling used as reasons I shouldn’t have my kids and fighting and detaching from the love if my life as he comes unrecognizable to me, with a fraction of his resources (or iq/strategy experience).”

“All the while I didn’t see one of my babies for 5 months. And this is only what can be said publicly, since most of my experience these last years should remain behind closed doors,” she added.

Now my question is, why is she surprised? Had she not seen how Musk had been treating his exes in the past? She betrayed her principles to be with a man who did not align with the ideology she sold to fans for years, and when he betrayed her and tried to throw her under the bus, she came back to the same fans for sympathy.

She made the decision to bring three children into this world with a man who denied his eldest child’s transition and has said she is ‘figuratively’ dead. He does not serve the role of a parent in Vivian Jenna Wilson’s life, who has said publicly that Musk was an absentee father. But somehow, Grimes ignored all of this and then tried to change her tune to ‘woe-is-me’ when the world’s most powerful man decided to use his assets against her rather than for her.

And in my opinion, when she was not able to enjoy Musk’s power, money, and influence by being on his good side, she seemed to backtrack on everything she had been defending him for.

Personally, I am tired of her shtick. She still can be seen tweeting about as if she cares about the world. When Musk came under fire for a Nazi salute, she asked people to not involve her in the actions of her ex. Unfortunately, when you have three children with a person who has never really hidden his intentions and motives, you do have some responsibility to distance yourself from their actions.

Grimes still preaches about love, advocating for queer youth, and more but thinks it a chore to have to emphatically state that she does not support the problematic rhetoric her ex routinely spews online?

I also cannot stand her ‘aw shucks’ attitude towards her fans. Her tweets reek of a coy, wide-eyed, hair-twirling act. She wrote, “I honestly thank the people who r still grimes fans cuz my god I have not made it easy for you haha. At this point it’s literally like some kind of mystical trial to harden the will,” encouraging her fans to come and console her.

Through all of this, she will also sometimes post something which confuses people about her true feelings towards Elon Musk. On January 18, 2024, she posted, “Just for my personal pride, I would like to state that the father of my children was the first american druid in diablo to clear abattoir of zir and ended that season as best in the USA. He was also ranking in Polytopia, and beat Felix himself at the game. I did observe these things with my own eyes. There are other witnesses who can verify this. That is all.” Alluding to Elon’s gaming skills and how they bring her pride. At one point, she will lament about how he is using his assets to bully her legally and then post about how proud she is of his gaming skills.

Can she pick a lane? On one hand she will be quick to dismiss Elon’s actions as having anything to do with her but then also tweet about the time they were together, trying to remind people of her affiliation with her. Either she wants people to focus on her and her music, or she wants to remind them of her relationship with Elon, she cannot have both but somehow, it seems she picks and chooses a path as she pleases in the moment.

As an adult woman, she is free to make her own decisions, but what annoys me about her is that she actively chose to date someone who went against all the morals she claimed to uphold. This moral flip-flopping is not annoying but it is tiresome and completely see-through.

If Grimes would be adult enough to accept all her actions and say, ‘yes, I changed my mind about capitalism, imperialism and willingly had three children with a man who represented a lot of things I said to have opposed,’ it would have still been palatable. She needs to stop portraying herself as a progressive alternative artist and accept that she is much like everyone else she tries to differentiate herself from.

We all know the truth about her now. So, can we stop acting like she is any better than the father of her children?

Vet reveals why red bites are appearing on dogs’ stomachs

0

If you’ve ever noticed red, angry-looking circles on your dog’s stomach, your first instinct might be to rush them to the vet— and that’s completely understandable.

But before you panic, it turns out that these bites might not be as alarming as they seem.

The Morinville Veterinary Clinic, located in Alberta, Canada, recently shared some reassuring news on their Facebook page, addressing a common concern among pet owners.

As it turns out, those red marks on your dog’s belly could simply be the result of fly bites.

”We are getting more and more phone calls about red bites on your dog’s stomach,” the clinic posted and added:

”These are a type of fly bite, and dogs generally get them from laying in the grass. They look terrible, but usually do not bother the dogs. They heal quickly on their own and do not require any treatment. These flies are usually around for a few weeks every spring and then go away. We hope this eases any worry that you may have had about your own dog!”

This time, it was just a warning or heads-up – a reminder not to overreact and rack up unnecessary vet bills or resources.

The post quickly went viral, with pet owners all over Facebook sharing their own experiences of finding similar bites on their dogs. Many expressed relief, knowing they didn’t need to rush to the vet and avoid a costly bill.

”Thank you for the information. I was just getting ready to run out to the vet and spend a good $200 I really don’t have,” one user commented.

So, what exactly causes these nasty-looking bite marks? The culprit seems to be black flies, which are common across North America, especially in the northern regions.

“These appear to be bites from black flies, which are widely spread across North America, particularly the northern latitudes,” explained Michael San Filippo, a spokesperson for the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

”Bites from these flies on dogs are usually harmless, but we’d caution pet owners not to ignore or downplay these kinds of bites, as there may be other causes that could cause similar markings that indicate more of a threat to our pets.”

While black fly bites themselves are generally not harmful, it’s important not to overlook any changes in your pet’s skin or behavior.

The clinic and experts warn that similar bite marks could be caused by other pests, or possibly allergic reactions. If you’re concerned or notice anything out of the ordinary, it’s always a good idea to consult with your vet.

”If you notice any unusual bites or injuries or behaviors, you should contact your veterinarian to discuss,” San Filippo advised. ”There are a number of factors to consider, such as your pet’s age, medical history, and health status, as well as the specific health threats to your pets where you live.”

The key takeaway? While fly bites can look alarming, they’re typically harmless and clear up on their own. But as always, trust your instincts and reach out to a professional if you’re ever unsure!

Why Barron Trump always carries a black backpack to class

0

Barron Trump has been a student at Stern Business School at New York University for about six months. The son of Donald Trump got to take some days off from school when his father was sworn in as the 47th US President on January 20, but now, he’s back in the Big Apple to continue his studies. Several reports have emerged about his life on-campus, with students having a variety of things to say about him.

Barron Trump is escorted by several Secret Service agents while attending school. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old has been seen walking around campus with a black backpack, which appears to have a significant meaning behind it. In fact, Barron Trump’s backpack paints a picture of his new life that not many might be familiar with.

Barron had been outside the spotlight for years before appearing with his father, Donald Trump, to celebrate the presidential election victory this past November. The 18-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump has always been an object of interest for people worldwide due to his height, and his star-status has only grown as he’s entered adulthood.

Since last year, Barron has been studying at Stern Business School at New York University. While not much is known about his life there, several students gave their verdict about the president’s son last fall.

The British newspaper Daily Mail spoke to several individuals who attend New York University, with some saying that Barron has become very popular among the ladies. Meanwhile, Secret Service agents trail him everywhere he goes.

Barron was caught by paparazzi photographers during his first day at NYU. Naturally many “regular” people attend the school, and it appears they have mixed emotions about Barron.

What NUY students think of Barron Trump

Another student stated: “My mom is going to want me to marry him.”

Secret Service agents will, as mentioned, follow Barron around campus all the time. A third student stated they felt “really bad for him” as he “did not choose this life.”

A fourth student said: “His dad is his dad and he is own person so I’m not going to judge,” adding that she would definitely consider a friendship. “Of course, who wouldn’t want to be friends with a Trump?”

However, not everyone is thrilled that the president’s son will study at NYU. One student said she would “absolutely not” be friends with Barron.

“It speaks to the privilege that a lot of the NYU kids have. I’m only here because of financial aid,” the student in question told the Daily Mail.

According to a People Magazine source, the 18-year-old has been “popular with the ladies” since starting classes in September.

“He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way. He’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies,” the source said. “He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”

Making new friends after arriving at a completely new place can be challenging. While being Donald Trump’s son might break a lot of ice, it’s most important for Barron to surround himself with people who want to be his friends, rather than those looking to buddy up with someone famous.

Barron Trump invites students to play videogames online with him

As Secret Service agents constantly surround Barron, it is most likely tricky to have a conversation with him in the first place. US outlet TMZ states he has struggled to blend in at New York University. However, he has found a clever way to connect with new college friends—online. The news outlet states that Barron has turned to online gaming, inviting classmates to play with him in the virtual world.

According to TMZ, he has invited them to join him on the popular gaming platform Discord, where users play games and chat with each other. Since he’s a big soccer fan, he plays the popular video game EA Sports FC 25.

Technically Barron could walk from Trump Tower to New York University, but that’s naturally out of the question given the associated security risks. As such, he’s reportedly escorted to and from campus in an SUV. TMZ reports that classmates have described him as “chill” while a new report about his life at NUY is now circulating.

“He’s sort of like an oddity on campus,” Kaya Walker, the president of NYU College Republicans, told Vanity Fair. “He goes to class, he goes home.”

Following his parents’ White House exit in 2021, Barron’s life was a mystery. He, Donald, and Melania decided to move to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, where the youngster attended the private Oxbridge Academy High School. While there were practically no forthcoming reports about his life there, rumors about him having a girlfriend did spread.

In answer to that speculation, his father, Donald Trump, claimed his son had never had a girlfriend, at least that he knew of.

Why Barron Trump carries a black backpack at NUY campus

Trying new things and getting to know new people is part of going to college, and in Barron’s case it’s no different. Shockingly, the Daily Mail even pointed out that the 21-year-old influencer Maria Arana, a Mexican American NYU student who grew up in Miami, could be a “future Mrs Barron Trump.”

Speaking with Vanity Fair, Arana, who is studying child psychology at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, said, “I just thought it was very random. But it’s not like I was against it.”

The 21-year-old explained that she had never met Barron. However, she has spotted the procession of vehicles that have taken him to school. Trump’s youngest son benefits from the security of the Secret Service, who take him to and from school and escort him around the place while he’s there. This, in and of itself, will perhaps make it harder for him to meet new friends.

Yet Barron may have a clever trick to ensure he at least appears approachable. He is said to carry a black backpack to school, and although it’s necessary for keeping pens, notebooks, and computers safe, there could also be a hidden reason behind it.

On TikTok, one user claimed that there is a specific reason Barron carries the $88 backpack wherever he goes.

“As Trump’s son, and the future heir, Barron is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but he always carries an inexpensive black school bag. Barron lived a life of luxury from childhood. He was raised by Melania, and had a life of ease and plenty since he was a child;” the user wrote, per Express.

“An ordinary student”

“However, no one would believe that under Trump’s guidance, Barron is very thrifty in private. Since he entered college, he has been carrying an $88 black school bag, which makes Barron look more like an ordinary student.

“It enables him to keep a low profile, and be more approachable in public, and allows him to participate in various activities more comfortably. In addition, since Trump became President, he has been opposed to extravagance and waste and has even donated his own money to charity at times.”

The user on TikTok concluded: “In order to follow in Trump’s footsteps, Barron has always kept a low profile. Even at the age of 18, he has never bought luxury goods. To some extent, this can also better shape Barron’s positive image, prepare him for being the heir in the future and play a positive role in the overall image of the Trump family.”

Barron has been praised for his character by his father and mother, and there’s been no reason for people to doubt their judgement. Other than the opinions shared by Donald and Melania, zero reports have emerged regarding what he’s like… until recently.

Luxury styling service Bespoke Pearce’s chief executive officer, Nathan Pearce, helped the president’s son select several suits, dress shirts, and a cashmere overcoat for Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Barron Turmp’s stylist reveals how he is really like

In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Pearce revealed some interesting things about Barron and his personality. Because of his private life, some might believe that Barron is relatively closed and quiet. However, that is far from the truth, according to Pearce.

“He’s this super-bright kid. He’s well beyond his years in terms of experience, knowledge, history. He’s just very fascinating to talk to,” he told Women’s Wear Daily.

“You know what is another word I would say [about him]? Hospitable. He is down-to-earth, nice as can be and hospitable,” Pearce continued, recalling how Barron shook his hand when they first met, thanking him multiple times when he arrived at Mar-a-Lago. The youngster even offered to show the stylist around the Palm Beach estate.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him over the last one or two years,” Pearce explained. He added that he didn’t take Trump’s business for granted, wanting him to be very happy with his outfit.

“I recognize that Barron Trump could be choosing from tailors all over the world, and he chose me and Pearce Bespoke. I’m super-grateful and super-proud of that,” Pearce added.

Donald Trump might not be known for his great sense of humor, though that idea is a debate to be had another time. It appears the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, with Pearce labeling Barron’s humor “dry.”

“He’s hilarious. But as I said, he’s super-sharp. You put him in a room with star businessmen, and he will hold his own. He can talk to them all day because he’s witty, smart, and has a dry sense of humor,” the stylist concluded.

Teabags: 7 household remedies that show why you should never throw away a used teabag again

0

There’s nothing like coffee in the morning. I always start my day with a cup. But in the evenings, I usually go for tea.

You know how it is, you start the kettle and in no time, you have a hot cup ready — after dropping in a bag of your favorite brew, of course.

After a few minutes, you pull out the bag, toss it in the trash and drink the tea.

But ever since my grandmother taught me some tricks to do with old tea bags, I haven’t thrown any away.

Scroll down and check out these clever ideas for used tea bags. You’ll be surprised how handy they are — and you might even save a bit of money in the future, too…

1. Soothe sunburns

Take a tea bag filled with black tea and rinse it with cold water.

It will be your new best friend when you get a sunburn during the summer or when traveling abroad. Black tea contains tannic acid that helps the skin heal and gives you a prolonged cooling sensation.

2. Relieve minor burns

You can use the same tea bags that use for sunburns for another urgent situation.

If you accidentally burn yourself, apply a tea bag on the affected skin. The tannins in black black tea also soothe minor burns.

3. Get rid of warts

Did you know that green tea contains antioxidants that can prevent warts from growing? Take a used tea bag after it’s cooled down and place it on top of the wart.

After 15 minutes, remove the tea bag and replace it with a new one. Leave the second one on for another 15 minutes. Then, wait a few days and your wart will fall off.

4.  Put an end to puffy eyes

The tannins found in black tea can also help soothe the puffy bags under your eyes.

The next time you drink a cup of tea, save the teabag. Put it in a small container and place it in the refrigerator for a day or two. Then, when you feel like it’s time to do something about the bags under your eyes, grab a couple tea bags from your refrigerator.

5. Remove grease stains

Do you let your dishes soak because of stubborn stains?

Just fill your sink with water and dirty dishes. Then, throw a few tea bags in the water. The stains will be much easier to remove.

6. Weed killer

A bag of tea can be turned into a weed-killing concoction.

Try apply brewed black tea to weeds, or make a tea recipe of citrus (orange or grapefruit), tea, and water. Black tea steeped in a jar of vinegar with orange rind can also be used as a spray, according to Tip Hero.

7. Fertilizer

Not only can you compost tea bags as fertilizer in the compost bin, but loose leaf teas and compostable tea bags may be dug in around plants.

Roses love it, and so do houseplants and garden plants like ferns. You can also dig the tea bags or loose leaves in around plants to utilize the tea bags for plant growth directly around the root system.

Have you ever used tea to boost your green thumb? Which of these tricks would you try?

Student president defends Barron Trump comments after resigning

0

The former president of New York University’s College Republicans chapter has released a statement after being forced to resign from the role over comments made about Barron Trump.

NYU’s Stern School of Business became the college of choice for the president’s youngest son last year – the institution is regarded as one of the top business schools in America.

Aside from the fact that he is trailed by Secret Service agents wherever he goes and isn’t likely to have a usual college experience in any way, shape or form, not much is known about Barron’s life on campus, nor how he’s settled in after beginning the next chapter of his life.

Which is probably why fellow Stern student Kaya Walker garnered so much attention after an interview with Vanity Fair where she described him in terms that have been interpreted by many as unflattering.

Kaya had been the president of NYU College Republicans, but had no choice but to step down after the comments she made about Donald and Melania Trump’s son.

She told Vanity Fair of Barron Trump: “He’s sort of like an oddity on campus.”

Kaya added: “He goes to class, he goes home.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly she found herself heavily criticized online, with the College Republicans of America (CRA) labeling her comments ‘inappropriate’ and in conflict with its ‘values and principles’.

As the story picked up more and more traction, Kaya ultimately resigned from her presidential role on Sunday night (February 16).

Now, days later, she has broken her silence to address the controversy in an interview with the New York Post.

‘”I’ve been killing myself trying to support the conservative movement,” she said. “Everybody knows that it’s an uphill battle being a Republican at NYU.”

She went on: “I’ve put my everything into building up my chapter. I built [attendance] up exponentially.

“It’s been insane, especially this past year, we’ve seen such a rise in membership and had such a great time.”

Barron Trump had been kept outside the spotlight for years before appearing alongside his father, Donald Trump, to celebrate the presidential election victory this past November. The 18-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump has always been an object of interest for people worldwide due to his height, and his star-status has only grown as he’s entered adulthood.

According to a People Magazine source, the 18-year-old has been “popular with the ladies” since starting classes at NYU’s Stern School of Business in September.

“He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way. He’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies,” the source said. “He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”

Love, Laughter, and a Lifetime of Jokes: 10 Hilarious Tales from Old Married Couples

0

An elderly couple had been wed for half a century. The husband’s trademark laugh would always follow his enormous fart as soon as he got out of bed in the morning. “One day, you’re going to fart your guts out,” his wife would always warn him.

The wife had a playful idea while cooking the turkey on Thanksgiving morning. As she waited for her husband’s regular routine, she sneaked into their bedroom with a handful of turkey innards and carefully tucked them into his underwear.

She heard him stir an hour later. He started his morning fart-laugh routine, but all of a sudden the laughter stopped, was replaced by a scream, and then there was silence for ten minutes. When he finally came downstairs, he held up his dirty fingers and looked sheepish.

“Honey, I must apologize to you,” he said. You were correct; I finally let my guts out today. But I’m going to be alright because I managed to get them all back in with the help of God and these two fingers. The playful nature of a long marriage, where even the most ridiculous moments turn into cherished memories, is aptly captured by this amusing prank.

Musk’s DOGE Preparing to Audit IRS, Other Agencies After Court Win

0

Trump Tees Off On Democrats, Wasteful Spending At Mar-a-Lago

0

President Donald Trump spoke to reporters at Mar-a-Lago this week and did not mince his words when asked about a few hot-button issues.

Trump spoke to reporters in a photo op at Mar-a-Lago as he signed executive actions and spoke about billionaire Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

One exchange went viral after a reporter tried to ask Trump a “gotcha” question about Musk and his actual “title” at DOGE.

Trump responded by pulling out a piece of paper and listing off several of the recent findings by DOGE, which showed even more waste, fraud, and abuse that the American people want to eliminate.

Below is a transcript of the exchange:

REPORTER: In a court filing, the White House said that Elon Musk is not a DOGE employee and has no authority to make decisions. Can you clarify for us today (inaudible)?

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Elon Musk is. Yeah. Yeah, Elon is to me a patriot. So, you know, you could call him an employee, you could call him a consultant, you could call him whatever you want. But he’s a patriot.

I mean, look at the kind of things I just said. So just in case that question got elsewhere. And which I’m surprised it took so long, actually. But you know what? Ukraine is a bigger deal because people are dying by the thousands a week. Thousands.

But look at this, from 90 to 99. Social Security, 6 million, 54,000 people. Well, that’s okay. Maybe that’s possible. You know, 92, to 90, 99, maybe it’s possible. That’s a lot of people, though, at that.

But people that live to 100 to 109, 4,734,000. Wow. That’s a lot. That means over 100 years old. 4 million people. I don’t know. I know there’s so many. I know people that are doing great in their 90s, but not too many people over 100, but over 120 from 120 years old. People that are 120 years old, up to 129, 3,472,000 people.

Wow! You know, that can’t possibly be because the record is like I think as one person, a woman lived to 127, but they have 3472.

Okay. But now we’re going really in people from 130 years old to 139 year old, 3,936,000. Wow. I wonder if people are getting paid with all this. I mean, are these checks And that’s what we’re checking right now.

Bondi Directs DOJ to Challenge Biden’s Death Row Commutations

0

Former President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of several killers on death row at the last minute before leaving office.

Now, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi wants to reverse those decisions and tell state officials to go after the death penalty for the inmates.

Bondi wrote a letter to Department of Justice (DOJ) employees on Wednesday about the commutes. In the letter, she said that Biden’s decision to grant the commutes “undermine[d] our justice system and subvert[ed] the rule of law.”

“The commutations also robbed the victims’ families of the justice promised — and fought hard to achieve — by the Department of Justice,” Bondi wrote. “The Department of Justice is directed to immediately commence the following actions to achieve justice for the victims’ families of the 37 commuted murderers.”

“Explore opportunities to provide a public forum for the victims’ families to express how the commutations affected them personally,” Bondi said, calling it an “important step” toward building trust and holding people accountable, Fox News reported.

In late December, Biden took 37 people off of federal death row and changed their sentences to life in prison without the chance of release.

The White House said at the time that the move would stop President-elect Donald Trump’s government from “carrying out the execution sentences that would not be handed down under current policy and practice.”

Mark Schroeder, the New York Department of Motor Vehicles commissioner, has also been charged. Bondi referenced New York’s Green Light laws, known as the Driver’s License Act, which permits illegal immigrants to obtain a driver’s license.

The law prohibits certain federal agencies from accessing driver’s license information in New York State.

“They have green light laws, meaning they’re giving a green light to any illegal alien in New York, where law enforcement officers cannot check their identity if they pull them over,” Bondi said. “And law enforcement officers do not have access to their background. And if these great men and women pull over someone and don’t have access to their background, they have no idea who they’re dealing with, and it puts their lives on the line every single day.

The boy had to get 38 stitches because the refrigerator suddenly ᴇxᴘʟᴏᴅᴇᴅ: W.a.r.n.i.n.g: Do not put these things in the freezer

0

People often say that danger is impossible to prevent completely and we always encounter potential dangers in our daily lives. Therefore, to protect the safety of ourselves and our children, we need to pay more attention to every detail of life. Otherwise, carelessness will cause irreparable consequences.

Open the refrigerator door and an unexpected e.x.p.l.o.s.i.o.n occurred causing serious consequences

The heartbreaking incident occurred in an apartment in Shanghai City (China) causing a 5-year-old boy to have to get 38 stitches on his face.

Because Shanghai’s weather in the summer is very hot and he really likes carbonated drinks, the boy put the can of water in the freezer so that the water could cool quickly.

Unfortunately, when he happily took out the can of water to drink, right at the moment he opened the lid of the can, a loud bang was heard, the soft drink splashed everywhere and the can broke, causing a terrible accident.

3 things you absolutely must not put in the freezer if you don’t want the refrigerator to ᴇxᴘʟᴏᴅᴇᴅ

The habit of putting all food and drinks in the refrigerator, especially the freezer, to help cool quickly and immediately is a bad habit that many people have. This habit will cause many extremely dangerous consequences that directly affect the function and lifespan of the refrigerator, even endangering the user.

1. Carbonated drinks

At the top of the list are carbonated drinks. Canned carbonated soft drinks should not be stored in the freezer if you want to prolong the life of the refrigerator.

When placing carbonated drink cans in the freezer, the temperature of the water in the can will decrease very quickly while the mass of the water increases. When the mass of water increases beyond the “capacity” of the can, the shape of the can will slowly change, along with the release of CO2 gas, the can will be under extremely high pressure and can explode at any time.

If you want to ice it, you should only marinate it for about 5 minutes so that the water is cold but not frozen, or leave it in the refrigerator.

2. Alcoholic beverages

When you close the lid tightly and leave alcoholic beverages in the freezer, this will create pressure that causes an explosion. When storing flammable substances inside, if the refrigerator starts or during use, there is an accident, creating a spark, these flammable substances will catch fire very quickly and cause a large explosion in the refrigerator.

Therefore, users should absolutely not store alcoholic beverages or flammable substances (such as gasoline, oil, etc.) in the freezer, but should choose to store them at room temperature, in dry, well-ventilated places.

With wine, if you want to drink it cold, you should drink it with ice cubes. If you want to chill beer, you should chill it in an ice box or ice bucket, not in the freezer.

3. Dry ice

Dry ice is one of the things that should never be put in the freezer because, like carbonated drinks, dry ice is basically solid CO2. That’s why when placed in a freezer with a temperature lower than -18oC, CO2 will expand an estimated 600 to 800 times compared to the solid form.

Once the mass of dry ice increases too high in a closed space such as the freezer compartment of a refrigerator, it will cause your refrigerator to explode at any time and can damage the equipment and utensils placed around the refrigerator, while also endangering the whole family.

Therefore, you need to be careful in storing dry ice, do not store it in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator but can choose to store it in insulated cooling devices. In addition, absolutely do not touch dry ice with bare hands because it can burn you, so use tongs or rubber gloves when holding ice.

‘He’ll Have to Go’ took over country & pop charts in 1960

0

In 1960, Jim Reeves dropped a song that would go on to change the game in both country and pop music—“He’ll Have to Go.”

With its smooth vocals and lush orchestration, the track became a hit that bridged the gap between two genres, making Reeves a legend. His voice? Pure velvet. His style? Sophisticated and polished. And the song? It became a cultural phenomenon, cementing Jim as one of Nashville’s finest.

The backstory of “He’ll Have to Go”

Jim Reeves wasn’t just any country singer. Known as “Gentleman Jim,” he had this incredible ability to balance sophistication with country music’s raw emotion.

Born in Texas, he had worked as a radio announcer before diving into full-time music. By the time “He’ll Have to Go” was released, he was already a country star, but this song pushed him into another stratosphere. It wasn’t just about the tune —it was about the whole vibe he brought to the table.

Wikipedia Commons / RCA Records

The backstory of “He’ll Have to Go” is as interesting as the song itself. Written by Joe and Audrey Allison, the song was inspired by a real-life moment Joe overheard at a bar. A man was on the phone with his lover, begging her to get closer to the phone, trying to win her back.

That became the heart of the song—the opening line, “Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone.” It’s simple, but it’s that perfect mix of longing and vulnerability that hit home for so many.

A huge moment for country music

When Jim recorded it, he didn’t just sing it — he felt it. The production was minimal, with just enough backing to let his voice shine through. Chet Atkins, who was behind the production, kept things subtle, and the result was this intimate, emotional track that drew listeners in.

The song quickly became a hit, topping the Billboard Country Chart and even crossing over to the Pop Chart, where it hit #2. It was a huge moment for country music, showing that it could be mainstream and still keep its soul.

The impact of “He’ll Have to Go” didn’t stop with chart numbers. It became a cultural touchstone, a song that people could relate to, no matter their background. The heartbreak, the pleading—it’s universal. And Jim’s delivery? It’s that perfect blend of confidence and vulnerability. He didn’t have to overdo it—his voice just worked.

With the success of the song, Jim Reeves was suddenly a global star. He toured all over the world, bringing country music to new audiences. He wasn’t just a country singer anymore; he was an international ambassador for the genre.

The smooth, polished sound he brought to country music helped redefine it, proving that country could be sophisticated, emotional, and mainstream.

But let’s be real — “He’ll Have to Go” wasn’t just a hit; it was a game-changer. It helped popularize the Nashville Sound—a more polished, orchestral style of country music that was easier for mainstream audiences to digest. And that style became a blueprint for future artists looking to mix country with other sounds.

The song’s influence didn’t stop there. It inspired countless covers by artists like Elvis Presley and Ry Cooder. But let’s be clear—no one did it quite like Jim. His version is the one that stuck.

How Jim Reeves died

Sadly, Jim’s life was tragically cut short in 1964 when he died in a plane crash at just 40 years old. His death left a huge void, but his music — especially “He’ll Have to Go”—has kept his legacy alive.

The song stayed on jukeboxes and radio stations for years, ensuring that his smooth baritone would never be forgotten. And, of course, Jim was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, cementing his place as one of the all-time greats.

Today, “He’ll Have to Go” is still one of the most loved country songs ever. It’s been featured in movies, TV shows, and commercials, introducing it to new generations. The magic of the song lies in its simplicity—it’s raw emotion wrapped in a timeless melody. It’s just one of those songs that never gets old.

Jim’s ability to blend country with pop is a legacy that’s still felt today. Artists like Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban owe a lot to Jim Reeves for showing that country could cross over without losing its authenticity. “He’ll Have to Go” wasn’t just a hit—it was a moment in music history. And it’ll stay a classic for years to come.

Jim Reeves proved that country music could be emotional, sophisticated, and universal. “He’ll Have to Go” wasn’t just a song—it was a movement. And it continues to resonate, showing the timeless power of music to connect and inspire.

Trump Hits Highest Approval Mark Ever as Poll Finds America Loves His Policies

0

President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has climbed to 55%, according to a new poll released over the weekend.

The Napolitan News and RMG Research survey found that 55% of registered voters approve of Trump’s performance, while 43% disapprove. The national poll was conducted among 3,000 registered voters from February 10 to 14, with a margin of error of 1.8%, Just the News reported, citing the data.

A separate poll released on Thursday showed a lower approval rating for Trump at 48%.

Meanwhile, a significant shift is taking place in how major corporations approach and fund Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

Trump accelerated this transition last month by signing an executive order eliminating DEI policies and staff within the federal government and extending the ban to federal contractors, The Center Square reported.

Some private companies had already begun scaling back DEI initiatives before Trump took office. However, following his directive, many have started retreating from their DEI commitments—at least symbolically—even if substantive internal changes remain limited, the outlet noted further.

Costco has resisted pressure, pushing back against the Trump administration’s directive, while other major corporations—including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Meta—have announced a retreat from DEI initiatives. Media reports indicate that discussions about DEI on corporate earnings calls have dropped significantly.

Meanwhile, some companies, such as Wisconsin-based financial services firm Fiserv, have yet to make any public changes to their DEI policies.

Businesses that choose to maintain DEI-driven hiring practices face an uncertain legal landscape. This is especially relevant for companies like Fiserv, which receives hundreds of millions of dollars in government contracts, The Center Square noted.

Currently, Fiserv’s website still has a Diversity & Inclusion page, which says the company is “committed to promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I) across all levels of the organization, in our communities and throughout our industry.”

It also says that the company “partner[s] with people and organizations around the world to advance our D&I efforts and create opportunities for our employees, entrepreneurs around the world and the next generation of innovators.”

The company’s DEI page features a careers section that talks about “engaging diverse talent” and holding events to connect with “diverse candidates.”

Critics of DEI initiatives argue that they promote discrimination against white men and Asians, prioritizing hiring and promotions based on race and sexual orientation rather than merit.

A pivotal moment in the pushback against DEI occurred during the Biden administration when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down longstanding affirmative action policies at American universities, highlighting instances of discrimination against white and Asian Americans.

Trump’s election has further reinforced this legal shift, setting clearer boundaries on how race and gender can be considered in hiring, promotions, and workplace policies.

Trump’s anti-DEI order noted, in part:

In the private sector, many corporations and universities use DEI as an excuse for biased and unlawful employment practices and illegal admissions preferences, ignoring the fact that DEI’s foundational rhetoric and ideas foster intergroup hostility and authoritarianism.

Billions of dollars are spent annually on DEI, but rather than reducing bias and promoting inclusion, DEI creates and then amplifies prejudicial hostility and exacerbates interpersonal conflict.

DEI has become increasingly controversial as activists use the moniker to advance every liberal policy on race and gender, often at taxpayer expense. In the federal government, DEI had become widespread and infiltrated into every part of governance, from racial quotas for promotions at the Pentagon to driving healthcare research at the National Institutes of Health.

At private companies, DEI policies guided investment decisions via ESG (Environmental, Social Governance) as well as personnel decisions with racial quotas for company board rooms. Those ideas are out of favor with the Trump administration.

Some of the companies resisting the shift from DEI could face legal action.

Schiff Complains That Having Patel As Head Of FBI A ‘Tragedy’

0

Sen. Adam Schiff of California, one of the most controversial and partisan Democrats in Congress, lamented over Kash Patel on Monday as he appears set to be confirmed as the next FBI director.

“It is just a tragedy for the FBI that it comes to this. I can’t imagine the demoralization at the FBI and the Department of Justice. The damage will be long, long-standing,” Schiff said, according to the Sacramento Bee.

That said, Republicans are supporting Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the bureau, which they say is solely in need of de-politicization after years of being weaponized against by the current president by Joe Biden’s left-wing administration and entrenched operatives within the agency itself.

“The Trump administration is cleaning house at the FBI because the FBI is and has been for many years infected with political bias and whistleblower retaliation,” Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, countered.

Schiff and Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) serve as members of the committee. The Republican-led panel approved Patel’s nomination in a 12-10 party-line vote. The full Senate is expected to hold a confirmation vote next week.

Republicans contended that the Biden administration’s FBI frequently pursued politically motivated investigations, targeting both Trump and individuals involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. They also criticized the FBI’s 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago for classified documents taken by Trump after leaving the White House in 2021. Trump was indicted in 2023 over the findings, but the case was dismissed following his re-election last year.

“Mr. Patel should be our next FBI director because the FBI has been infected by political bias and weaponized against the American people,” Grassley said.

The full Senate is expected to vote on whether to confirm Patel on Tuesday.

As for Schill, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) believes she knows why he’s so against Patel as FBI director: Because Patel is aware that Schiff, for years, pushed the false ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ narrative that has been repeatedly debunked via several investigations.

“I think, too, they are very fearful of Kash Patel, because Kash Patel knows what Adam Schiff and some of the others did with Russia collusion, and they know that he knows — the dirt on them, if you will — and I think they’re fearful of what he’s going to do and what he’s going to reveal,” Blackburn told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday.

She also said that Democrats recognize that “Patel is very devoted to bringing transparency to what’s going on in Washington.”

Blackburn also addressed these alleged concerns during remarks to the Senate Judiciary Committee late last month after Patel’s confirmation hearings.

“As I’ve listened to my Democratic colleagues in their comments this morning, you can hear the anger and the displeasure with having Kash Patel before us. But I think it’s important to realize why Kash Patel is there and why President Trump chose to nominate Kash Patel,” she began.

“The American people are sick and tired of two tiers of access, two tiers of treatment, and two tiers of justice. And during the Biden years, this was writ large in the actions of the DOJ and the FBI. We have all seen it,” she added.

“Now, when Mr. Patel was before us, before I started my questioning, I asked him a question that came from listening to my Democratic colleagues as they were questioning him,” Blackburn continued.”

“And it was, why do the Democrats fear him? Why do they fear him? And I think the answer is so very apparent. They fear him because, yes, indeed, he is out of the box. They fear him because of what he knows about Russia collusion, what he knows about some of the activity that has taken place,” she charged.

“And they fear him because he is going to return the FBI to its core mission, investigating violent crimes and keeping our nation safe,” she added.

Donald Trump reveals what he would rename Greenland if the US acquired it

0

President Donald Trump’s dream of buying Greenland has been given a boost after legislation has been drawn up and brought to Congress.

The Trump administration’s expansionist agenda has been on full display since the Republicans reclaimed the Oval Office less than month ago (January 20).

The 78-year-old has officially renamed the Gulf of Mexico the ‘Gulf of America’, revealed plans to reclaim the Panama Canal, urged Canada to be the 51st state of America, and has shown intent to ‘take over’ Gaza displacing all Palestinians.

We’re already aware of his aspiration to purchase Greenland, even having a fiery phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen – which reportedly sent officials into crisis mode.

Of course, Greenland has been part of the Danish Kingdom since it was colonized back in the 18th century – and was seen as only a colony until 1953 when it was redefined as a district of Denmark.

So, what’s the latest update then?

Well, it has come through Republican Congressman Buddy Carter, a representative of Georgia, who introduced legislation last week to allow Trump to speak with Greenland and Denmark about the possibility of acquiring the autonomous country.

An aircraft alledgedly carrying Donald Trump Jr. arrives in Nuuk, Greenland on January 7, weeks after his father suggested Washington annex the autonomous Danish territory (EMIL STACH/Ritzau Scanpix/AFP via Getty Images))
Carter released the following statement: “America is back and will soon be bigger than ever with the addition of Red, White, and Blueland.”

Yes, Trump plans on renaming Greenland ‘Red, White and Blueland’… I’m not sure how its natives would feel about the name change.

He continued: “President Trump has correctly identified the purchase of what is now Greenland as a national security priority, and we will proudly welcome its people to join the freest nation to ever exist when our Negotiator-in-Chief inks this monumental deal.”

The bill introduced by Carter has been referred to the committee.

“To authorize the President to enter into negotiations to acquire Greenland and to rename Greenland as ‘Red, White, and Blueland,’” it read.

Trump has previously stated that those who call the world’s largest island home, its 57,000 residents, wish to be part of the US.

Speaking to reporters last month, he doubled down with some blunt remarks: “I think we’re going to have it.

“I think the people want to be with us.

“I don’t really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn’t allow that to happen because it’s for the protection of the free world.”

He continued: “I think Greenland we’ll get because it has to do with freedom of the world.

“It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we’re the one that can provide the freedom. They can’t.”

Someone Wrote ‘Hope She Was Worth It’ on My Car – But I Never Cheated, and My Wife Was Always by My Side

0

When Henry saw the words scrawled across his car, his entire world collapsed in an instant. Hope She Was Worth It. The message, bold and unmistakable, taunted him, tearing through the happiness he had felt just moments ago. He turned to Emily, his pregnant wife, but instead of trust, he saw something else flicker in her eyes—doubt. No matter how much he swore he had never cheated, the damage was already done. But the truth was far worse than betrayal. This wasn’t the work of a scorned lover. This was an attack from someone much closer to him.

Emily trembled in his arms, sobbing into his chest, gripping onto him like he might disappear if she let go. Her voice was muffled, but her words cut deep. “I’m sorry, Henry. I didn’t want to believe it, but I just… I didn’t know what to think.”

He held her tighter, pressing his lips against the top of her head, wishing he could erase the past twenty-four hours. “It’s okay,” he whispered. “None of this is your fault, Emily.”

But someone was to blame. And she was standing right in front of them.

Claire shifted uncomfortably under Emily’s teary, piercing gaze. Arms crossed, expression unreadable, but Henry saw it in her eyes. Regret. Maybe not entirely. Maybe not in the way she should. But she knew she had crossed a line.

“Tell her,” Henry said, voice firm.

Claire sighed as though this were all an inconvenience to her, as though she was doing him a favor. Then, finally, she confessed. She admitted to writing the message on his car, to wanting to drive Emily away, to thinking she was helping him. All because of something he had said months ago.

“I just thought…” Claire hesitated, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. “You always said you were scared about being a father. That you didn’t have the best example growing up. I thought maybe… if Emily left, it would be easier.”

Henry clenched his fists, rage burning in his chest. “So you decided for me? You thought you had the right to destroy my marriage over a conversation?”

Emily’s face shifted from confusion to hurt, and finally to something that made Henry’s stomach twist.

“You really didn’t cheat, Henry?” Her voice was barely above a whisper.

“Never,” he said immediately. “Not once, not ever. I love you, Emily. I love our baby. I love our life together. Claire blindsided me with this just like she did you.”

The weight of it all crashed over Emily, and she hugged her belly tightly. She had almost walked away from him. Almost believed the worst. And all because Claire, his own sister, had tried to break them apart.

The last thing Henry had expected after leaving the doctor’s office was to watch his life fall apart in real time. He and Emily had just heard their baby’s heartbeat for the first time. The moment had been pure magic. Walking hand in hand to the parking lot, he was still lost in the rush of emotions—baby names, nursery colors, what life would be like once their child arrived.

And then, there it was.

His car. Four chilling words scrawled across the driver’s side door.

Hope She Was Worth It.

He had stopped in his tracks, unable to process what he was seeing.

“What the hell is that?” The words barely made it past his lips.

Emily stiffened beside him, instinctively placing her hand over her belly as though protecting their baby from whatever this was. He felt the way her fingers loosened from his grasp, the space that opened up between them.

Then, she spoke.

“Did you…?”

She didn’t even finish the question. She didn’t have to.

The accusation was right there, painted in bold letters for the whole world to see. Someone, somewhere, thought he had done something terrible. And now, Emily, the woman who had always trusted him, was caught between him and the damning evidence in front of her.

“It wasn’t me,” he pleaded, stepping closer to her. “I swear to you, my love, I have no idea who did this or why.”

Emily exhaled shakily. “I… I didn’t write it.”

And God, that broke him.

Because he knew what she was really saying. If I didn’t do it, then who did? And why? She wasn’t accusing him, not yet, but doubt had crept in. And doubt, once planted, had a way of spreading like wildfire.

That night, Henry stood in his driveway, scrubbing furiously at the hateful message. He should have been inside, celebrating their first milestone as parents-to-be. Instead, he was out in the cold, trying to erase the damage—damage that wasn’t just on his car, but on his marriage.

The ink refused to budge. Just like it wouldn’t leave Emily’s mind.

Then came the footsteps.

“Don’t bother thanking me,” a voice said behind him. “You’re welcome.”

He froze. He knew that voice.

He turned around, his breath caught in his throat. Claire. His sister. She stood there, eating an ice cream like nothing had happened. Like she hadn’t just shattered his life.

“What the hell are you talking about?” he demanded, his voice dangerously low.

Claire shrugged, licking her ice cream. “I wrote it. Duh.”

The words didn’t register at first. “You… what?”

“I wrote it,” she said again, this time with a smirk. “You’re too chicken to deal with this baby, so I figured I’d help you out. If Emily thinks you cheated, she’ll leave. Problem solved.”

The world tilted beneath his feet.

“You really think you helped me?” he hissed, stepping toward her.

She rolled her eyes. “Oh, come on. You’ve been freaking out about this kid for months now. Remember Thanksgiving? You were so stressed. I just made things easier for you.”

“You destroyed my marriage,” he spat. “And for what? What did you get out of this?”

Claire actually had the audacity to look bored. “You’re being dramatic. Emily’s overreacting. It’s just a little lie.”

His hands trembled. “You’re going to fix this.”

Claire scoffed. “Oh yeah? And how do you suppose I do that?”

“You’re going to tell Emily the truth. Right now.”

When they arrived at Emily’s parents’ house, Henry was armed with a bouquet of flowers and a chocolate cake—her latest craving. She hesitated to let him inside, but he begged her to listen. Finally, she agreed.

Claire shuffled in behind him, suddenly not so smug anymore.

Henry turned to her. “Tell her. Now.”

Claire hesitated. But under Henry’s piercing glare, she finally admitted everything.

When she was finished, Emily turned to Henry, her eyes brimming with tears. She reached for him, holding onto his waist.

Then she turned to Claire, her expression unreadable. “You owe me an apology.”

Claire shifted uncomfortably, muttering, “I didn’t think it would go this far.”

Emily’s voice was firm. “But it did.”

Henry barely looked at his sister. Something had changed. She wasn’t the person he had trusted his whole life. She was someone willing to destroy his happiness over assumptions.

He made his decision.

Claire would never be welcome around their child.

In the weeks that followed, Henry and Emily worked through everything. It wasn’t easy to break through the damage Claire had caused, but they came out stronger.

As for Claire? She was on thin ice.

And Henry had learned two things.

Never let anyone’s drama mess with your marriage.

And be careful who you vent to.

Because some people don’t want to help you.

Some people just want to watch you burn.

Tom Hanks Face huge backlash from MAGA supporters over ‘Offensive’ Trump voter skit

0

Following Hollywood actor Tom Hanks’ controversial skit in which he played a Trump voter during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special, Trump supporters are incensed.

Following Tom Hanks’ portrayal of a Trump voter in Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special, Donald Trump supporters expressed their outrage on social media.

Before denouncing the skit, a number of critics were spotted supporting Trump during the Super Bowl.

A Black Jeopardy! sketch that debuted in 2014 was at the heart of the controversy. Hanks portrayed Doug, a Trump admirer wearing an American Eagle T-shirt and a “Make America Great Again” cap.

Doug surprised host Darnell Hayes (played by Kenan Thompson) by correctly answering every question, despite presumptions that the quiz was targeted at the Black community.

The irony was increased when Hayes once reached out to shake Doug’s hand. Doug is reluctant at first, but he finally accepts the handshake.

“Don’t like that, whoa, whoa, whoa,” says Hanks’ character, before he suggests, “Maybe I’ll start a show for you to come on and we’ll call it ‘White Jeopardy.’”

The irony was increased when Hayes once reached out to shake Doug’s hand.

Conservative voters are furiously criticizing Tom Hanks on the internet.
Trump supporters strongly reacted negatively to the sketch, which prompted a barrage of criticism directed at Tom Hanks, SNL, and NBC.

Many viewers vented their annoyance on social media, accusing the portrayal of being unfair and outdated.

Benny Johnson, a conservative pundit, responded angrily, saying, “Donald Trump has never been more popular with Americans and just won a landslide election.” They haven’t gained any knowledge.

The controversy surrounding the purpose and significance of the sketch was further stoked when well-known right-wing pundit Mario Nawfal chimed in, referring to the humorous segment as “tone deaf.”

“Hollywood still doesn’t get it: portraying Trump supporters as racist caricatures while he’s winning record minority support,” said Benny Johnson, who criticized the sketch. SNL’s 2025 attempt at 2016 jokes

Former Robert F. Kennedy Jr. aide Link Lauren also voiced disapproval, arguing that the sketch suggested that a large portion of Trump’s supporters are racist: “Trump won the popular vote.” It’s disgusting to use the cliche that MAGA is racist. For snobbish liberal elites, Saturday Night Live is an unfunny show. Rest in peace, SNL!

Possibly the lowest point in Tom Hanks’ career, many other fans took to social media to express their deep offence.

This is news to me!

Many people leave chargers plugged in for convenience, but electricians warn it’s not harmless. Even when not in use, chargers draw “vampire energy,” increasing electricity costs and straining the grid.

More importantly, plugged-in chargers—especially low-quality or damaged ones—can overheat and cause fires.

They also , wear out faster, along with the outlets they’re connected to.Unplugging chargers prevents hazards, saves energy, and extends their lifespan.

Using power strips or smart plugs can make this easier. A small habit change can improve safety, cut costs, and reduce environmental impact.

Elon Musk breaks silence as famous author claims she gave birth to his 13th child five months ago

0

Elon Musk has responded to claims from author Ashley St Clair, who recently announced that she gave birth to his 13th child five months ago. St Clair, a public figure and conservative children’s book author, made the revelation in a post on X (formerly Twitter), asking the media to respect her child’s privacy.

She explained that Musk and she had been privately working on an agreement for raising their child. In response, Musk posted a single word, “Whoa,” after a tweet from Milo Yiannopoulos suggested St Clair had been planning to ensnare him.

Musk, who has several children with different partners, has yet to publicly confirm his role in the child’s upbringing.

President Trump accused of ‘cruel and petty’ move following executive order: ‘It’s an attack on the truth’

0

President Donald Trump’s recent Executive Order 14168 has sparked significant controversy, particularly regarding its impact on the Stonewall National Monument in NYC. The order mandates that federal agencies recognize only two genders, removing references to transgender and queer individuals from the monument’s website.

This has been criticized as an erasure of the contributions of transgender individuals to the LGBTQ+ rights movement. The Stonewall Uprising of 1969, led by transgender activists, is a pivotal event in LGBTQ+ history.

The revisions to the monument’s website have led to protests and public outcry, with critics denouncing the removal of transgender recognition.

The order is part of broader actions targeting transgender rights, facing legal challenges from civil rights groups.

Alina Habba Says Federal Workers Not ‘America First’ Will Be Let Go

0

Alina Habba, who served as one of President Donald Trump’s personal attorneys and is now his White House counselor, made a big revelation earlier this month regarding federal workers.

Habba, in an appearance on Fox News, said that anyone who works for the Executive Branch of the federal government who does not have an “America First” attitude will get the ax.

“Why would it be that deep state institutionalists, people that work for Jack Smith, that worked overtime night and day to put Donald Trump in jail, why wouldn’t Donald Trump get to pick his own people? Why would he be stuck with that group of people?” Fox News host Sean Hannity asked.

“I love that you asked me this question, Sean. You know what I would say to all the liberals freaking out? Yeah, no, here we go. Ready? If you’re Biden and I’m in the DOJ, are you leaving me there, Biden? I don’t think so,” the attorney said. “Look, the truth of the matter is this. You’re not America first. They were divisiveness. They were the party of attack. They were the party of politicization of the law, fair justice, and injustice.

Nancy Pelosi Facing Primary Challenge From Former AOC Aide

0

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is facing a series of growing challenges as she recovers from a recent hip replacement surgery, while also dealing with a formidable primary challenge from Saikat Chakrabarti, a well-known progressive figure and former chief of staff to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).

At the same time, her husband, Paul Pelosi, is under renewed scrutiny for his lucrative stock trades, which have once again reignited calls for a congressional stock trading ban.

Pelosi, a dominant figure in the Democratic Party for decades, is facing an unexpected challenge from Chakrabarti, a staunch advocate of progressive policies.

Chakrabarti has been vocal about Pelosi’s reluctance to embrace more left-leaning positions, arguing that the country needs “real solutions” that better align with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party

Who’s who in US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia?

0

Three Americans and two Russians made up the two teams at the talks in Saudi Araba that have underscored an end to Western isolation of Moscow.

The men described the meeting as preparing the groundwork for broader “high-level” talks and agreed to reset their countries’ diplomatic relations.

Who are they and what significance will they play in the rapprochement between the two powers?

Reuters The US team of negotiators, from left to right, labelled Steve Witkoff, Marco Rubio and Mike Waltz

As US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio faced his veteran Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. The pair had already spoken over the phone three days earlier.

Rubio has long sought an end to the war in Ukraine and voted against a $6bn US military aid package in 2024. He sees China as America’s biggest adversary and believes Beijing is happy for the US to be “bogged down in Europe”.

He has cautioned that “one meeting is not going to solve [the war]”, describing the Saudi talks as a first step towards negotiations. And he has made clear that both Ukraine and Europe will have to be involved too.

National security adviser Mike Waltz believes the US deserves “some type of payback” for the billions it has paid out to Ukraine during three years of full-scale war.

Not only does he believe that Europeans have to “own this conflict” in terms of future security guarantees. He also thinks Ukraine should share its mineral wealth in partnership with the US “in terms of their rare earths, their natural resources, and their oil and gas”.

Steve Witkoff is more of an unknown quantity. Although these are the first official talks between Russia and the US for almost two years, Witkoff was the man Donald Trump chose to send to Moscow only last week for talks with Vladimir Putin.

Ostensibly, he’s Trump’s Middle East envoy, but clearly the president’s former golf partner is far more significant than that and he is being seen as the president’s loyal and favoured dealmaker.

He was part of talks on forging Israel’s ceasefire with Hamas but was then sent to Russia to help with the exchange of US prisoner Marc Fogel for a Russian, Alexander Vinnik, in jail in America.

Reuters Two Russian negotiators from left to right, labelled as Yuri Ushakov and Sergei Lavrov

Russia chose two top diplomats for this initial exchange of views.

Both are veterans and know the US well: Putin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov and Sergei Lavrov, foreign minister since 2004.

They have also helped Putin steer his foreign policy during three years of war.

As former ambassador to the US, 77-year-old Yuri Ushakov has a good idea of how to talk to Washington. Within days of Donald Trump’s return to the White House he made clear Russia was ready for talks if the US sent “relevant signals”.

Days before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he accused the Biden administration of peak “hysteria” in suggesting Russian troops were preparing to go to war.

As Russia’s standing with the West plummeted in 2022, it fell to Sergei Lavrov to promote his country on the international stage. He took part in doomed ceasefire talks with Ukraine shortly after the full-scale war began and even denied there had been an invasion.

One man not in the room - Kirill Dmitriev

A third Russian was not in the room, but Kirill Dmitriev’s presence in the delegation is a mark of just how important Vladimir Putin sees the economic potential of the Saudi talks.

Dmitriev, 49, is head of Russia’s Direct Investment Fund and told reporters he would focus on future economic relations with the US: “We also need to make joint projects, including, for example, in the Arctic Region, and in other areas.”

Significantly, Dmitriev played a key role in working with Steve Witkoff in the prisoner exchange that preceded Trump’s phone-call with Putin last week, along with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman.

Dmitriev has close connections to Putin’s family – his wife is close to one of Putin’s daughters.

And few Russians know America’s finance and business sector better than Dmitriev, as a former investment banker at Goldman Sachs and a graduate of Harvard Business School.

Although he is adamant Russia’s economy is doing well, 43% of the budget is going on the war and internal security, inflation is just under 10% and interest rates have hit 21%.

The two Saudi hosts were only briefly in the room

The two Saudi hosts chaired the start of the meeting but did not stay in the room.

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has played an active role as top Saudi diplomat this year, visiting Lebanon and Europe and hosting an international meeting aimed at lifting sanctions on Syria.

Saudi national security adviser Musaed al-Aiban has also played a prominent part in promoting Saudi ties with Syria’s new leader Ahmed al-Sharaa.

Although Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman takes the lead on foreign policy, these two men are regularly by his side.

Social Security head Michelle King steps down over DOGE information access: AP sources

0

WASHINGTON – The head of the Social Security Administration has stepped down over a request from the Department of Government Efficiency – or DOGE – to access recipient information, according to the Associated Press, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The exit of SSA Acting Commissioner Michelle King is one of several departures of high-ranking officials concerned about DOGE staffers’ potential unlawful access to private taxpayer information.

SSA head Michelle King steps down, AP reports
What we know:
King refused to provide DOGE staffers at the SSA with access to sensitive information, the AP sources said on Monday. Her exit comes after more than 30 years of service. The White House has replaced her as acting commissioner with Leland Dudek, who currently works at the SSA, the people said.

What they’re saying:
White House spokesperson Harrison Fields released a statement on Monday night saying: “President Trump has nominated the highly qualified and talented Frank Bisignano to lead the Social Security Administration, and we expect him to be swiftly confirmed in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the agency will be led by a career Social Security anti-fraud expert as the acting commissioner.”

“President Trump is committed to appointing the best and most qualified individuals who are dedicated to working on behalf of the American people, not to appease the bureaucracy that has failed them for far too long,” Fields added.

The backstory:
President Donald Trump put his billionaire adviser Elon Musk in charge of DOGE to help eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in spending and trim the more than 2 million-person federal workforce. The department was created via executive order and is a temporary organization within the White House that will spend 18 months carrying out its mission.

Since Trump returned to the Oval Office, Musk has rapidly burrowed deep into federal agencies through the DOGE group, accessing Treasury payment systems and attempting to access Internal Revenue Service databases.

Musk spoke at a press conference last week and claimed DOGE had found wasteful Social Security spending, including evidence that the safety net program is paying benefits to 150-year-olds – though he didn’t go into detail about the claims.

“There’s crazy things, like, just a cursory examination of Social Security and we’ve got people in there that are about 150 years old,” Musk said. “Now, do you know anyone that’s 150? I don’t. They should be in the Guinness Book of World Records, they’re missing out.”

“So, that’s the case where, like, I think they’re probably dead is my guess, or they should be very famous. One of the two,” he added.

The other side:

Nancy Altman, president of Social Security Works, an advocacy group for the preservation of Social Security benefits, said of DOGE’s efforts that “there is no way to overstate how serious a breach this is. And my understanding is that it has already occurred.”

“The information collected and securely held by the Social Security Administration is highly sensitive,” she said. “SSA has data on everyone who has a Social Security number, which is virtually all Americans, everyone who has Medicare, and every low-income American who has applied for Social Security’s means-tested companion program, Supplemental Security Income.”

“If there is an evil intent to punish perceived enemies, someone could erase your earnings record, making it impossible to collect the Social Security and Medicare benefits you have earned.”

Big picture view:

The Social Security trust funds have been projected to be depleted around 2035, and the future of Social Security has become a top political issue. About 72.5 million people, including retirees, disabled people and children, receive Social Security benefits.
